The CustomerBattles folder from the sprites.zip folder you downloaded, you need to move them to the Graphics folder so it can merge and replace existing sprites from the existing CustomerBattlers folder

What you did was move the CustomerBattlers folder into the CustomerBattlers folder which just made a new folder in there

Do you have more than 1 game folder by any chance? You should be opening the game from just the latest folder you installed the game from. That is where the sprites should be located also.

If you are, do you see the .png file from that path it is throwing an error from?

With those files, you just add Game.exe to Steam and you are done with the files

You can also open Game.exe so that your images get indexed as well, but if you are black screen and no error message, it just takes time to get through. A person above said he has to open alt launcher with no internet to get through cause his internet was having issues

Hey @viscid ember! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Oh that is kind of old, not sure how compatible your save will be. I would recommend the following:

1. Make a copy of your save file but leave original in that path
2. Don't delete your current folder/files for the game
3. Download and install the game fresh in a new folder
4. Try opening the game and seeing if your save is compatible. If not, you can't upgrade without losing your save and you have to continue using your old files

So it’s been a while since I’ve played, but now I’m kinda wondering if a problem I had back then has a fix. My issue is the longer I play the game, the longer it takes to load. I think by the time I had 6 badges it was almost unplayable since it would take genuinely 5 minutes (I timed it) to open or close the party menu. Is this an issue with the game that can be fixed somehow, or is it a hardware problem that only upgrading my computer will resolve?

So I have a strange question that seems straight forward but I just want to know for sure. Basically if I had two files of PIF on two different drives, one had modified settings (for testing things) and the other is completely vanilla. When launching my vanilla file, is there any way that it could be reading the settings for my other PIF file on the other drive?

I assume that it reads from the folders that are in the file im loading, But one copy is on a different version than the other and im not sure how it works.

the higest I went was 889

so its hard to gauge if thats just unlucky 1/64 or ive been getting extremely lucky 1/4096

so I changed the odds on my other file to 1/1 shinies and then loaded my main file and I didnt get a shiny after like 30 encounters

but lol, idk im probably overthinking it, just dont want to be hunting at lower odds thinking its full odds

And the game doesn't update on its own. You need to run INSTALL_OR_UPDATE again when a new version comes out.

Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

If you want your own custom sprite they need to go in custom battlers folder and name the sprite appropriately based on dex number and dex number of the fusion. You can click on other sprite folders in game to get an idea

Just wanted to let you know, I tried it on my save that is not using Randomizer and 328 does get me Doublade, so it must be the randomizer messing with it

Yeah the way Global randomization (maybe Area too) works is by scrambling the dex numbers on that save

Yanmega's response is accurate. If you get the black screen after the title screen, that is where the sprites are indexing, so depending on your internet and computer, could take some time so you have to be patient there.

Pokemon are only indexed as you see them. When you see a pokemn, an index folder is created and all sprites with that number go into the folder. If you havent seen the mon, then it doesn't get a folder and it is not indexed

If you want them all to be indexed, you need to use the 3rd pinned message in this channel but up to you. you dont need the sprites indexed if you using Game.exe. This is only needed for alternate launcher

You can just do it with a new folder using the video. You don’t need to drag the files into your existing folder. Your save is in a different folder completely so your save isn’t deleted or anything

Game.exe downloads sprites as your encounter them over the internet.

Alt launcher you need to download all the sprites before hand and it runs them off your computer. Better performance but you have to manage the sprites
