Like I said, you likely have either a driver issue or a physically dieing piece of hardware. If this were happening to me, I would be testing the game on another PC and reinstalling Windows from scratch on the affected PC.

It takes a veeery long time to extract that extra preloaded. Goes faster if you open it in WinRAR/7-zip etc and 'extract to'. Drag-and-drop or the right click menu take about twice as long due to a Windows limitation.

Wow you would be the first person I've heard that from if it were true.
A couple things you could try:

• Follow the guide in the second pinned post step by step for a fresh installation. This has been tested by multiple people.

I'm sorry but you need more practice or experience with .zip files that have lots of small files inside them. Zip wasn't meant for it but you can work with it with the right knowledge and patience. But how to extract a zip is kind of outside the scope of infinite fusion tech support.

That's a known bug. You need to get your save on a PC so it can push past the credits.

It's a known issue where mobile users can't get past that screen. They have to get their save on a PC that will get it past that point. Then you transfer it back to your phone

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

you should be compatible, i would just look into updating drivers (found in your Device Manager under Display Adapters) also you should make sure you are plugged into your gpu (and not your potential intel onboard GPU port), without knowing your specific intel i5 i cant say for sure if that is available for you.

if you are plugged into your intel onboard gpu and not your GPU, that could explain it pretty quickly. if you do not know, your onboard/integrated graphics card tends to be located around the USB ports/LAN port on the back of your PC case. a GPU is almost always separated from the rest of the other ports (most times under the other ports)

Go with whatever works best for you. The updates and preloaded versions have has so many small issues for people lately so my go-to suggestion is a normal fresh install in a new folder. You can edit the game properties in Steam and point it at the new game.exe location and it should still use your save file.
The written guide details where the save is of you want to back it up or something.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

I do software development as a day job, but have never worked on a game before. If you can point me in the right direction of scripts that relate to the new water animations, I could take a look to see what's slowing it down. Otherwise, I guess I can just look though the diff on GitHub, but that'd be a pain to do blind.

Your best bet is looking at GitHub. I have no idea what they did but I'm sure it's some script. I just know how to solve basic stuff. Nothing with programming or anything

I guess, then, before I do that, I'm going to grab the latest sprite pack. Hunch is that a script or animation is referencing a sprite (or sprite position) that doesn't exist. Because the animations loop, it seems possible that the loops are stacking errors for every tile that has water.

Get a screen with 50 or so water tiles and the PC + 2 or 3 NPCs triggering a different animation on those tiles ... you can see how those errors would pile up. But it's just a hunch. May not be it at all.

Especially if each tile is generating a looping, compounding amount of errors.

It seems like the game throws a fit if there is a missing file. I don't think it would be that. When this version came out they introduced shadows. Some people manually updated the game and it didn't have that shadow. The game will just stop playing if it doesn't have that one image file.

What about sprite positions? Like the sprites filename exists, but doesn't have the physical dimensions to include the extra "animation" tile? Most things I've worked with would just show the alpha channel at that point, but I don't know how this game's engine would render that out (referencing non-existant positions of an existing sprite/image).

I'm not sure you read the issue lol, you can't rebind bumpers/R1 L1 buttons in the key mapper. By default the speed optioin is on L1, or left bumper, but you cannot rebind those buttons to anything else. That's why I was looking for the keymapping "file" to see if I could manually insert the values where needed.

hello, every time i go to the game in my folder and run INSTALL it crashes my folder and my folder stops working
this is my first time installing the game and i just wanna play it bc it looks fun
also, when i wait like 5-10 min with my folder open it says "windows defended your pc" and then wont let me do anything with the files for the game

You either A: Git rid of the save 💀
Or B: restore it to a previous version.
This is also coming from not one of the tech doods but it's how I fixed it for myself. I chose plan b

Go to your save file, find whichever save file you were on last which is likely the corrupted one (For me it was at least. There is a method of determining which is the corrupted one but i wasn't able to understand it)

right click, go to properties (should be like one of the last options)

Top right there'll be tabs, go to previous versions.Click whichever is most relevant to you and then hit restore

Preloaded uses an old version of the new installer, which doesn't like non-english windows.

My guess would be that you used the old version of the new installer, and then moved it out of its folder. - that version installs to a folder where its being run, so if you moved the game itself it won't be there

Witch I managed to solve by downloading and installing windows c++ redistributable then reinstalling the game.
