If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

I uninstalled everything, joiplay and rpgmaker, reinstalled the latest files on their own, deleted all of the decompressed files from the game and the patch, unpacked the latest game zip file, then the latest patch over it, optimized the maps in joiplay and it works like a charm now

There's your issue, script wasn't doing its job.
Either you're not extracting everything, or you have a rare issue where a system locale other than English messes up the script.
I suggest to try following the guide the in second pinned post here for a fresh install.

Ok so don't press anything for a bit

Make a copy of your save folder. It's C:/Users/[username]/AppData/Roaming/InfiniteFusion/

Then let the game do what it wants. Or if that doesn't work, delete the original save folder.
Then you can experiment stitching your save slots back in but you might just be out of luck on your old save.

Hey @primal kestrel! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Hi all, so I've returned to the lab after beating rocket and catching the birds to take on the robot for the infinite splicers however there is an issue. Since I'm playing the run randomised, the thing I'm facing is a mew/clefairy. After a few experiments I was able to beat it, but when the game ended it did not give me the splicers. I spoke to the scientist again to see if you need to interact to get it, but it just restarted the battle but this time with a mew/clefable. I restarted the game but nope it still does the same thing after it is defeated. Any suggestions as to a fix or will the infinite splicers now be forever unobtainable? Thanks in advance 🙂

after adding the new sprite pack yesterday, it keeps asking to replace one sprite that already exists and keeps adding a couple hundred sprites every time i start the game, amount varying

even though its supposed to add all 18000 sprites at once and only once

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey @whole creek! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.
