Update can have weird effects. I suggest a fresh install in a new folder tbh. Your save file is somewhere else so it's safe.
There's a fresh setup guide in the second pinned post. Alternate Launcher or preloaded version without instructions and you'll have those guys' problem.

I know this is a tech support but I made a comment couple weeks ago that I was trying to get a better laptop so that I don’t have to rely on alternative launcher. Now that I got a nice gaming laptop; since I got one, the main launcher run smoothly without a long waiting time when entering/exiting or going to different game “menu”.

Hey @swift canopy! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Doing a randomized fusion playthrough, and I've noticed whenever things like updates happen to the game, the pokemon encounters seem to all break (as in they won't appear no matter how much I run in grass). I think rerandomizing the encounters fixes it, but I'd prefer to not do that. Is there any other way to fix the encounters?

Hi all, I'm just getting started and the installation instructions say to download InfiniteFusion.zip and run the .exe. The folder only has "INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat" and a "REQUIRED_BY_INSTALLER_UPDATER" folder with 7zip. It's just in a program files folder on my D drive. I downloaded the pre-loaded sprite zip and the mobile zip to have them, I can try a new folder without them to see if they're causing issues.

So I'm trying to add custom sprites to the game from the sprite packs(using the 1-90 zip file) I copied all the sprites and pasted them into the CustomBattlers folder. The game only imported 202 sprites, and closing and reopening the game doesn't do anything. I checked the CustomBattlers folder and all the pngs are still there and weren't indexed. Did I do something wrong, or is there something wrong with the game?

Ok so first if you go to "Server Guide", then go to "Downloads", there's a download for a file called "InfiniteFusion.zip". Download the file. Then find the file and extract it. After extracting, open the folder(should be called infiniteFusion) and find the file called "INSTALL_OR_UPDATE" and double click on the file

Just installed the latest version via the batch file, having some issues starting up: the regular launcher enters a RHSS Stuck loop whenever I get past the title screen, and the alternate launcher crashes at the title screen with "No such file or directory - Graphics/CustomBattlers/indexed/126/126.5.png"

I fixed the autogenerated spirtes issue! Well... you literally just download the game again. I was moving folders around thinking the new download wouldn't grab my previous saves but it does. So yeah.. I downloaded the zip from #downloads , ran the update file within that folder just to be sure, and things are working normally now.

You are correct. You may have to run the "INSTALL OR UPDATE" file to get the latest update, not sure, but yes you do not have to mess with any files. The new download automatically references your previous saves on your PC.

I found a way to fix it! For anyone that runs into the same issue, go to the guy with the black suit on the second floor of the Pokecenter and reshuffle wild encounters.

Hey @stoic ore! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Hey @spare sluice! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

McAfee's not a good anti-virus, so I suggest you get a different one. For the issue, try seeing if there's any anti-virus, with "real-time protection", and disable that feature. If that doesn't work, a quick google search leads me to believe you're using Chrome or Chromium based browser and there may be a possiblity that the cache is corrupt in some way and cleaning the cache could help.

This is the full game, so you can either overwrite you current game, or put it in a different folder & place your save file where it goes/start from the beginning of the game.

Your save shouldn't be touched if you overwrite the rest of the game, but I'm not 100% sure about that

alt.exe is just a part when the game.exe doesnt work well
