Hey @sudden escarp! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

It is not a custom sprite, I have the same issue. I think if you remove a parameter that have custom sprite, it should be able to show no custom sprite pokemon.

Hey @unique patrol! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Yes, running install_or_update will check whatever the newest version is at the time and update yours if necessary. You shouldn't need to ever download the installer again.

That's how randomizer works
It's not like you get a different encounter every time, instead each possible encounter is replaced.
If a ratata on route 1 becomes a shinx, then every ratata on route 1 becomes a shinx

@inner walrus Figured it out! The file is missing execute permissions for the user. Running chmod u=rwx INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.sh should fix it so you can do ./INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.sh, even without sudo.

And... then... run the game using Proton, I guess? I haven't gotten that far, but it's a start!

Hey @lapis obsidian! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

inconsistent crash is not good. hard to diagnose. like is your drive full or ram dieing?
by trying out a fresh install, we at least know it's not the game files. i would next try to backup your save somewhere and delete it from %appdata%/Roaming/.
If the game runs well after that, we know it's a problem with the save file.
If the game crashes on a fresh save, we know it's your computer or environment.
Oh yeah, try restarting the machine once.

Hey @jade sedge! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Are you on your first playthrough? Then you're on classic. First save is locked to classic. Every new game after that gives you lots of choices when you start.

Also look at your encounters in game. If you're in kanto and finding mainly gen 1-2 mons, that's classic. Modern mixes up all the encounters to where you'll find lots of other gen mons more easily. And all the gym types are changed. If brock is rock and misty is water, then you're on classic.

On modern, Brock is steel and Misty is ice

Hey @polar beacon! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!
