Hey @clear cedar! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

But after evolving both halves into Ariados, it's just a regular Ariados. Hey @clear cedar! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Turn Auto save and icons off

Hey all, I keep getting stuck in this screen. have tried doing the process again and it keeps happening. the keybindings menu is responsive and is all default, pressing space or c does nothing. the game loads and the animation with music is all good until it reaches this stage, any ideas?

most common reasons for that bug are:

1. weird hanging process that's hogging something the game needs (fix: restart your computer will usually kill the process)
2. the game can't access a file it needs (fix: run in admin mode)
3. game didn't fully extract (fix: extract with 7zip or winrar instead)
4. weird graphics issue (fix: update your graphics drivers or try the alternative launcher)

make sure you downloaded the full version and not just the patch, too - you don't need the patch at all if its your first time downloading

Hey @fallen summit! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Yes that is old though. That was when 5.1 first released. They came out with a patch for 5.0 but it didn't work and I had to tell them how to fix it. The patch also doesn't include the other launcher so its better to delete everything and start fresh

you still don't understand. The game isn't using that file at all. the save.lnk The game doesn't look at the file. That is a file for PC users to click to go into their hidden folders so they can find their save easier. The steam deck puts your save file in steamapps>compatdata

Part of that path where it is the folder with just the numbers, it may be different than yours. Normally steam games have a number they always go by but this is a non steam game so I am not sure you have the same name for that particular folder.

The typing only matters when the pokemon fuse. Geodude being rock / ground or ground / rock, it doesn't change the game. It doesn't change anything unless the fusion of geodude suddenly makes everything ground typing instead of rock

The documentation reads that scizor's typings were swapped and that would affect which of the 3 dual types show up. To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Here to ask about a sprite issue I've been having.

Has the same issue with different screen sizes, such as s, m, l, xl, and full resolution. It happens to buneary, a few others too but I never bothered to note them down til now. Anyway, it only happens when they are a wild pokemon or a trainer's pokemon, when I use them the sprite looks normal. When I manually adjust the window size it can change a little bit, but it never changes enough to look like what it should.

Another issue, I have the combined icons turned on, it replaces the evee icon with an evee pichu fusion one. Even though it's just an evee that hasn't be fused with anything. Similar situation with a few other Pokemon. Oddly though the pichus are fine. Same for one side of other fusions, it seems to only cause issues with the other side of the fusion. Changing it back to dna icons fixes it.

Edit: it seems the Riolu and Pichu combined icon did not change back when switching to the DNA icons. Now Riolu icon is just the puchi riolu combined icon.

It seems reloading fixed Riolu icon while using DNA icons.

Anyone has any ideas? First of all I never touched randomized mode I put it on classic and 2nd I never touched the randomizer npc, so how come its randomized mode? Also any idea why the game keeps crashing on hof screen? only crash i've had so far in the game, reason im a bit upset about randomizer mode being activated, is because I was going for complete dex and had done majority of it only to find out its now pointless the progress i've done, and want to avoid this for the future.

So to my issue I managed to find out why it got randomized, so if you talk to the randomizer npc at any point or as much as breathe in his direction you will get randomized mode turned on your save

So I am going to try to explain the best I can. Your game is now set in a modern run and it does something to the files that are associated with infinite fusion. You need to extract a totally new game and take out the modern mode parts of the file system which will force the game to run that event differently. But do I know what files? no :[ I haven't looked into it myself but many people have explained the issue on here so let me see if I can find it

What I circled should not be in your custombattlers folder. Only the images from Sprite Packs 1-86 (January 2022) should be in custombattlers. The ONLY folder in custombattlers that should be in there is index

patches are meant to update old games. If you have 5.1 and the patch says 5.1.1.1 you want to get your game to that version so the patch is what you need
