There is the point that I don't have to use a spirit with autowin stats against low-level enemies, just like there's the point that I don't have to play 90% of the game as Marth, but that overlooks something simple: If I have no reason not to use a spirit that beats my opponent's, I will. If I have no reason not to use my best character, I will. Smash Bros has a lot of characters, and Subspace Emissary was great about making the player use them. It also didn't just let you use the best stickers (olde spirits) for any given situation all the time, because they had to be stuck to a specific character, and you couldn't just swap them out (which wasn't necessarily a perfect system, but they sure did swing as far as they could in the other direction for World of Light)
World of Light has so much to offer and refuses so adamantly to actually offer any of it. The only cure it offers for its abundant trivially easy fights is for the player to impose restrictions on themselves, and the only way it can make a player experience the variety of its roster is by giving you characters one at a time, which breaks once you get to your one of your favorites, unless once again you willingly play someone else.
If it's the players' responsibility to make the game engaging, you didn't design a good game.

If a fight is hard enough to be a challenge, I won't use an unfamiliar character for it, and I expect the same is true for at least two-thirds of players. The game gives you so many tools (including most characters and primary spirits) that most players just will not use because they have no good reason to do so. That a player can play random characters isn't an excuse for designing a game where the most effective option is also the least interesting. Putting my highest-rank spirit of the winning color plus any obviously appropriate supports (poison immunity, assist killer, etc.) on a character I'm proficient with involves only slightly more meaningful choice than putting the square peg in the square hole and the round peg in the round hole.

plus, I heard that constantine was a criminal scumbag that broke out of jail that's opposed to kermit and got the wrong frog arrested, so he would be someone to fight at first, and then later, he will turn over a new leaf and become an NPC to talk to, esp. after sora and company help bail kermit out of jail and take care of constantine, to teach him a lesson

I figured out that Delirum determines the damage reduction by calculating the damage you did to other bosses in the void
One time I faced him head on, and it was like his damage reduction didn't exist
......but I also had insane attack

Delirium's damage reduction increases as the fight goes on... for each transformation.
Everytime he transforms, it resets back to 0, which means that he doesn't have the same staying power that Hush or Ultra Greed do
I don't think it's intentional. The delirium fight is janky as hell, and Edmund plans to rework the entire thing at some point
