Honestly, yes.
the new arc is some of the best stuff the IP has ever produced (if not the best).
I'd say its still worth the watch as a classic shonen and you really do not need to know all the lore. They dont assume that everyone watched all of bleach and remembers it after 10 years of nothing.
they really built it as a standalone show for the most part.
the only thing that will be missed is the "reveal" of like 3-4 classic characters that make a surprise appearance.

Like i said, its okay to dislike it, but its a hard take to say its bad. if anything id compare to Kingdom Hearts, where there was a right time to join and ride the wave of the series, and doing it later is very hard. But i would say that the OP manga is easier to digest than trying the anime.

If I had to say which game had A more straight-forward story, I’d say P3R (Even though I haven’t finished it and am trying to finish P4G before starting P3P and then P3P but with the FeMC, and THEN finish P3R.). Yeah but at the end of the day that's always gonna be an insignificant amount of people compared ot the ones who know the game or actually play it and just don't voice it in any significant way.
Although it doesn't help that the media around the game had a sort of FNAF theory slop phase so maybe it was that.

Like with how many opinions or theories formed off of a poor understanding of the story that can only come from either not reading it or missing a ton of important details you can find, I struggle to say that the Undertale fanbase (or at least a very, VERY loud minority) is actually reading the dialogue of the game
