Wonderguard is nice, but isn't even the strongest option with shedinja (fusions): something that a competitive player achieved a couple years ago in a double battle (think it was in a tourney, but not sure) was to give shedinja sturdy. Sturdy leaves you with 1 HP if you get hit by an attack from full life, with that also being its maximum life, sturdy shedinja is invincible even to multihit and super-effective moves and can only be killed via status, entry hazards, weather and destiny bond/perish song.

Now sturdy shedinja can be achieved in fusions in singles as well by fusing it with something like shuckle

now I'm not sure if the 1HP is tied to wonder guard as an ability, but if it is you can still use that mon by giving it a shell bell
