Im a bit confused about fusing pokemon. I know how to do it but I don't understand why you would considering the BST of the fused pokemon is lowered when doing so. can somebody explain please?

Im not sure if BST is actually always lowered, but I can give various reasons for why oyu would fuse two mons-

1. Dual type/Better dual type: Generally, dual types have a lot of defensive and offensive advantages over staying single types, or even for dual types you can completely change the secondary or primary type of a mon through fusion
2. Actual stats- BST is not everything, what matters more is the composition of the stats. Sometimes a mon can get higher stats than before through fusion and in a way his stat flaws can be fixed, like fusing a high attack slow mon with a speedy mon with decent attack, or a mid bulk special attacker with a bulky tank with decent special attack. Ofc this depends on the fusion stat mechanics and how the stats of a certain fusions would turn out

3. Slapping broken abilities or moves onto mons that can abuse it: Classics like Shedinjas wonder guard, azus huge power, any speed boost mon, Aegis Stance change etc. on certain mons can basically let you cheese the game, and be ridiculously broken, so you would fuse those mons just for the abilities, and even then you can find abilities which certain mons would use greatly, even if not to broken levels
   Another thing peopel like doing is taking a mon with a certain ability and fusing it with a mon who has a move that can synergize with the ability, mostly a move the former mon doesnt have. Like fusing a Speed boost mon with a mon that can learn electro ball

4. Cool sprites- Thats pretty much the best part of these fusions. Go make whatever cool, cute, badass or scary fusions you wanna make! maybe try slapping your fav mons together! Stats arent always everything, fun is more important!

i just figured a shedinja would spawn. maybe even two, or a shedinja^2, depending how the game handled it

Hey @lethal sierra! Are you trying to evolve Nincada? It evolves into Ninjask at level 20! If you have an empty slot in your party and a Pokéball in your bag, you'll also get a Shedinja! If your Nincada was fused with something else (say, a rare legendary), you'll thus have two fusions of that other Pokémon, successfully duplicating it. :eyes:
