Machamp/Ferrothorn is actually kind of a beast thanks to No Guard. Great bulk; and great coverage with stone edge, power whip, dynamic punch, and explosion for the heck of it.

I'm playing on joi play. They have an option which allows you to get any item you want. I grabbed the Magic Boots (you normally can only get these after seeing all 420 pokeomon), which when activated opens up the debug mode. Then you go to the pokemon menu, select a pokemon, select debug and you can change it's lvl, HP, stats, ability, nature, gender, form (dex number), etc.

I kinda love that, but stand alone and not knowing it's a fusion. Neat reimagining of the trunk into a mechanical turret. I'd like to see more of a blend of forms though. Eyes and limbs including tusks. Tusks blended into mandibles perhaps. More bugish/mammothish and less mechanical since it's a DNA blend.

I think it's for cool factor, the reason why fusing the two same together doesn't improve stats would be because then 2 fused pokemon would then usually be better then fused pokemon generally.*
