To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Pretty sure the BST stays exactly the same though, and they don't get new abilities like what the Mega evolutions did
(e.g. A Mawile/Mawile will still have 380 BST, and no Huge Power)

However there might be a benefit to fusing the 2 same Pokemon for certain cases

There's a rule for certain Pokemon to forcefully transfer only a specific typing and never their secondary typing.
E.g. Charizard will only ever pass Fire type, Venusaur passes only Grass, all Normal/Flying types will ever pass Flying type
This means you could fuse Dragonite/Dragonite together, and get a pure Dragon type
