in a normal playthrough your going to see a bunch of bad auto generated sprites, without having custom sprites only selected, and if you haven't downloaded the sprite pack you'll have less custom sprites, and sometimes the default custom sprite isn't as good as the alternate sprites for it, I'm picking some of my favorites out of the best custom sprites for a pokemon

Hey @deep wharf! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.
You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

You can get some neat stuff by smashing random things together, but honestly the best stuff probably shows up when they share something in common.
Like Mewtwo and Persian. They're both cats.
Exeggutor was already Psychic type, Mewtwo just gives it a huge stat buff.

it doesnt specify anything like that tbh. i think thats mostly for purpose of shedinja, since shedinja is litterally just a shell of a ninjask. even when i modded old school pokemon series with gameshark, it never did that, so i highly doubt that wonder guard is hard coded to set it to 1HP every time. unless inifnite fusion is different but its always interesting to experiment!

...I did not even think of that.... I was just gonna swap between two wonder gaurd mons. I say persian and crogunk because persian is only weak to one type. which crogunk isnt weak to. crogunk also gets toxic. and both get fake out. so if i keep swapping I should be able to kill almost anything

Hypothetical fusion mons with no weaknesses:
- Dark/Poison with Levitate (possible with Weezing or Hydreigon)
- Water/Ground with Sap Sipper (possible with Azumarill)
- Bug/Steel with Flash Fire (not possible unless someone adds Heatran)
So far Dark/Poison is the best overall because Weezing and Hydreigon have the best stats. Azumarill can work but its bad stats slow it down, and if you're using Azumaril you really want Huge Power.
I hold out hope that Heatran might be added eventually for interesting bug Fusions, but won't hold my breath.

Former gets sleep spam and Bad Dreams. Latter gets Serene Grace Fiery Dance.
Which yeah, the latter is as insane as it sounds.
Jirachi/Volcarona w/ Steel/Fire also isn't bad. Has higher speed and some additional coverage, but it loses out on Sp. Attack and reliable recovery. Also doesn't have a good Steel spamming move, and Steel is worse offensively than Fairy anyways.

Flareon sadly loses a lot to Entei and Arcanine fusions, but on tanky Fairies and Dark-types it can work great as a slow defensive mon. You could also fuse it with Prankster mons- oh, you beat me to it, lol.

Best type in the game with Fairy/Steel and the highest Sp. Attack you can get on a Fairy-type.

For the other ones it's less precise because a lot of them lose to other options. Like Vaporeon loses to most Lapras fusions, Jolteon to Pikachu, etc.
However, Umbreon makes some of the tankiest Poison/Dark and Fire/Dark mons in the game.
And gives them reliable recovery with Wish and Moonlight.
