Pokemon are creatures and should have their own personalities I think primera was one of the first real examples I could think of that did this, and it irritated the fuck out of me. So I really don't like it. Same thing with the gen 9 duck, I can't stand it

The game runs on a version of Poke Essentials that only accounts for Pokémon up to Gen 7. Anything else does have the proper code necessary to be added without any friction. The last time Frog tried to add something from Gen 8+ into the game, it kept crashing.

In other words, the game is fundamentally incompatible with any additions from Gen 8 onwards.

Alright looking it up, In gen 7, there is a total of 5 moves and 2 Abilities that interact with Terrains

Defog, Nature Power, Secret Power, Camouflage, and Floral Healing.

Grass Pelt, and Surge Surfer.

Floral Healing is Comfey exclusive (though i know some fusions have it so maybe more uses)
Grass Pelt is Gogoat Exclusive,
Surge Surfer is on a regional form and will be one of the last things getting in.

Shellos's entire gimmick is that it looks different depending on where it is in the region. It was originally intended to be a Hoenn Pokemon, so it really wouldn't feel right to get rid of a core element of its design in the region it was originally designed for
