Sorry for speaking my mind sir but I struggle to see what you can do with them in a fun and creative way. For me they are the most wasted potential for better Pokémon like Golisopod, Lurantise, Aromatisse, Mienshao, Cryogonal, Florges, Seviper, ect. There are so many mons that are better picks than dog with rocky bangs

as long as the body of the fusion followed some of the normal breeding rules:

• can't be legendary

• can't be a baby mon

the other pokemon in the fusion didn't matter, and you had to breed the fusion with a ditto

if the 6.0 update broke that, then that is a bug

Think of it as a double edged doublade: It's true that it could lead to some more cool typing, but it's also true that it could backfire and lead you to results that can harm you more during specific battles.

To begin with, we already know how fusions work.

• Primary typing of head and secondary typing of body
• 2/3 of head's HP, Sp.Atk, Sp.def, and 2/3 of body's Atk, Def, Spe
• etc etc, all known parameters

The new fusion system just simply makes the fusion result using those known parameters and saves the newly created mon on the user's save.
Exceptions can be made by simply having one of the parameters being exceptions

As for Sableye the Changelog mentions a possible encounter with one in Waterfall Cave.

They're also just great for grinding money. It might be hard to get a specific fossil, but fossils overall are pretty common there and sell for 5k a piece. Only issue is that it's pretty post-game. But if you wanted to transfer some fossils to a ng+ as hold items, it's definitely a good call.
