one thing could be altering the safari zone slightly, make it so you can pick the generation you want to encounter things from, maybe post game, maybe sooner new game + or what have you. That way you can put plenty of mons in each area as encounters and reduce the needed route changes.

maybe a second safari zone al la heart gold and soul silver, and that could be another stress valve of mons lol. Both regions do have a safari zone.

The Pokemon Essentials version used was made when generation VII was the newest, and only has all moves and Pokemon data from up till then. Hmmm carbink would mostly contribute defenses with almost no offenses regardless of the fusion so it has that I guess. It has a solid 500 so not too bad either and has clear body so for gameplay it works. Body sucks for fusions though.
