Hey @gray pelican! Are you having trouble finding the entrance to Mt. Ember? Talk to Team Rocket outside of Cinnabar Island's Ferry Dock. Follow them inside and they will steal the boat. You will need to use surf through the currents in the Offshore Road to get to Mt. Ember.

one of Oak's aide scientists tells you that route 3 is currently a hidden ability zone

HA zones only last 1500 steps from their creation

the only downside with that one...it counts steps you made since you started the game

and no; there's no way to know how many are left before the zone moves to a new spot

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Hidden Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

But while fusing, the two options im getting are water/flying and ice/steel.
What can i do

barring some weird exceptions fusions will always be:

first type of fusion = primary type of the head
second type of fusion = secondary type of the body

for water/steel

you would need a pokemon that has steel as their secondary typing

and since articuno has neither of those

a good example of an exception would be Charizard/Houndoom

because of how fusion mechanics work, in that order; the fusion is fire/dark

since otherwise it would be pure fire type

Hey @wind haven! Are you looking for an EV and IV Checker? There is an IV Checker NPC in Saffron, but if you want an easy export of your entire party, use the Showdown NPC on the 2F of any Pokemon Center. It will export your entire team's stats and you can paste that into any document.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall using the preloaded files in #downloads .
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

If you defeat, run away, or get defeated by a Legendary Pokemon, you have two options:

1. Revert your main save to a backup autosave the game creates for you. For info, type ?tag backups in #ask-a-bot
2. You can beat the Elite 4 again to get it to respawn for another shot.

That's the thing, the tree by the gym reappears as normal but the rocks seem permanently gone

Thought it might be a distance thing but even going through diglett cave to veridian doesn't do it

How can i choose which pokemon to catch when I'm using pokeradar?

Hey @old ice! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

it is always random, minus if the grass spot you walk in shakes more/is shiny, as that usually indicates a more rare encounter

but even then it is still random

Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in Repel that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.
