Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in Repel that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Hey! Are you having a hard time getting into the Hidden Forest or Viridian River, or are you looking for extra starters? After getting to Celadon, you can enter it from Route 16!

From the Hidden Forest, you can then enter the Viridian River where depending which tile you enter from, you will find different sets of starters as an overworld encounter. You'll hear a sound cue if an overworld encounter spawns when you enter the area.

If you want to start with fusions, you have to start a 2nd save.

It's an option that unlocks as part of new saves, same as Randomizer

Just a new game in general. You can make your 1st file, just save immediately in your bedroom, quit to the menu and make another and it should pop up asking if you want traditional starters.

Say no and it should ask what you want

Kind of. They'll only level up / evolve so many times before they're capped for that zone, I think

Like a trainer you fight at level 12 will not just follow you to level 90 and you end up with a maniacal team before Gym 3. But They may stop around 22~ so they don't start scaling higher than the content

also, iirc, trainer rematch evolutions don't necessarily correspond to the level

they're based on how many times you've battled them, with an additional cap on how many times any given pokemon can evolve based on your badge count

The best way to farm exp is through trainer rematches. You can talk to a trainer again and get the option to rebattle them. The more you battle them, the higher the level they become and their Pokémon can evolve as well.

Number of Rematches:

• After 4 rematches, the head Pokémon will evolve regardless of badges.
• After 9 rematches and gaining 3 or more badges, the head and body Pokémon will evolve.
• After 19 rematches and gaining 3 or more badges, it will evolve again.
• After 29 rematches and gaining 6 or more badges, it will evolve again if not maxed already.

Below are the best trainers to rebattle for exp on their respective modes
Classic (Left)

• Cool Trainer Sofia outside of the League has a lvl 42 Chansey.

Remix (Right)

• Route 32 Fisherman Justin has a lvl 63 Blissey fusion and a lvl 5 Magikarp.

Hey @kind lily! Are you looking for the Exp Share? You can get it in the Cerulean Pokémon Center from Professor Oak's Aide once you've fused at least 5 Pokémon. They can also be bought from the Silph Co. Lobby for 11,000$ if you saved 7 or more employees, or 8,000$ if you saved all the employees!

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Exp Share will NOT stack with Exp All.

Fusions can no longer breed, pokemon have to be unfused in order to breed. Meaning no legendary breeding. So Nincada duping is your next best option

To dupe Pokemon, all you need is one Nincada, one normal red Pokeball, and an empty slot in your party. Nincadas are easy to obtain in both Classic and Remix. In #ask-a-bot you can ask "How to get Nincada"

Steps:

1. Fuse the Pokemon you want to dupe with a Nincada. This will work with any Pokemon, including legendaries, mythicals, etc.
2. Level up the fusion to any evolution level. Nincada evolves at lvl. 20. Make sure you have a red Pokeball and an empty slot in your party.

• Note: Any evolution will work, meaning if the other half evolves under 20 (e.g Kakuna, the dupe will also work and you will end up with two Beedrills.)

3. The fusion will now split: you'll have a Ninjask and, in the empty space you had, you'll now have a Shedinja. Both will be fused with the Pokemon you're duping.

IVs ,EVs, and Natures will also carry onto both the new fusions and will have the exact same values.

Joiplay gives its own debug menu that is not programmed into the game. The way you're supposed to get it is to complete the dex on an unrandomized save (Somewhat anyway. You can technically complete the dex and new game plus them over)

By using thta cheat menu without debug legally unlocked, you void all tech support until reinstallation

To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is not going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Because I'm beginning to suspect that RPG maker uses system uptime to generate its initial seed for the random function. And because I'm using Linux, proton creates a virtual environment with an uptime that starts at 0 every time I launch the game. This means that every time I open the game, I have the same set of rng values every time I try to catch the diancie.

Hey @dense sage! Are you looking for the Exp Share? You can get it in the Cerulean Pokémon Center from Professor Oak's Aide once you've fused at least 5 Pokémon. They can also be bought from the Silph Co. Lobby for 11,000$ if you saved 7 or more employees, or 8,000$ if you saved all the employees!

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Exp Share will NOT stack with Exp All.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

It just uses the default Ruby rand() function. Looking into it, it looks like it uses the computer's time when Ruby is started as a seed.
I don't know how proton does things but my guess is that it creates a new environment with the system time set to the same default value every time you launch the game so you always get the same seed 🤔

Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in Repel that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Steps:

1. Fuse the Pokemon you want to dupe with a Nincada. This will work with any Pokemon, including legendaries, mythicals, etc.

For randomizing the game, short of not randomizing trainers at all, how do you keep the gym trainers all one type, the same type as the leader? Is this the right setting, or is this the one to randomize gym trainers? Because the other 3 options on this menu act as the top menu for a randomization page, and this does lead to a page, but its text is different. If I set this to "On" will it randomize the gyms (compared to Off, where it would leave them default), or will it randomize them and keep it to one type (compared to Off, where it will randomize them and scramble types)?

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

When I beat a Pokemon in rock tunnel I got a bad egg mask and bag egg outfit. I wanna know if this is a sign something is wrong with my save. Or if this is just something they added. I’ve just updated my game (if that makes a difference)

To dupe Pokemon, all you need is one Nincada, one normal red Pokeball, and an empty slot in your party. Nincadas are easy to obtain in both Classic and Remix. In #ask-a-bot you can ask "How to get Nincada"

Steps:

1. Fuse the Pokemon you want to dupe with a Nincada. This will work with any Pokemon, including legendaries, mythicals, etc.
2. Level up the fusion to any evolution level. Nincada evolves at lvl. 20. Make sure you have a red Pokeball and an empty slot in your party.

• Note: Any evolution will work, meaning if the other half evolves under 20 (e.g Kakuna, the dupe will also work and you will end up with two Beedrills.)

3. The fusion will now split: you'll have a Ninjask and, in the empty space you had, you'll now have a Shedinja. Both will be fused with the Pokemon you're duping.

IVs ,EVs, and Natures will also carry onto both the new fusions and will have the exact same values.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.
