Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

  1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
  2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in Repel that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
  3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
  4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
  5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Hello, I come here with a few question I didn't find answer to in the wiki :

  • How do fossil pokemon behave regarding breeding and randomizer? Are they allowed to make eggs or appear in randomizer mode?
  • Is there a way to have the hard difficulty WITH the shared xp feature of the easy, or do I just have to constantly switch from the 2 of them?
  • When I play randomizer and set gift pokemon as random, in the first shop I ALWAYS receive a Luvdisc, but the magicarp vendor before Mt. Moon IS affected by the randomizer, is this intended? If so, wich gift pokemon are and aren't randomized?

Hello everyone. I have a quick question...... At the moment I am trying to find all the legendary ones in the game and I am blocking for Diancie who can be obtained via a quest. After much research on the net, it is said that we should first complete the quest 'Operation Shutdown' which would find in Céladopole in connection with Team Rocket (and not it’s not the story quest where you have to defeat them in the sewers). Except I searched all the places I don’t find any by the npc who starts the quest. Would someone know if it’s because my version is not updated? Or if it’s a bug ?

Yes, the wiki clearly says that you have to board a Goldenrod ship with the police (or the team rocket) to get Diancie, but it’s impossible to board and no police officer is on the dock. 🤔😢

But during my early game, in each city I took the time to search everything to find all the quests to be sure of having a well-bred karma to be able to find mew. But in Cerulean, apart from the cop with his meow blocking the south exit as long as we hadn’t defeated Undine, I didn’t find anyone else to start a quest of this kind. I tried to confront Team Rocket myself in the house where they were squatting, but they just kept throwing me places constantly, without even fighting, nothing. 🤷‍♀️

Hi, this series of questions is more of a curiosity matter, so it's ok if you can't or don't want to answer. Regarding wonder trading:

  • Are the pokemon I receive pokemon from actual other players or are they just made up? Like am I receiving a pokemon Timmy from France captured/fused and then at some point traded or is it made up?
  • If it is real players and the sistem somehow keeps tracks of pokemon sent into the wondertrade, does it work for mobile users as well?
  • Lastly, if the other questions are true, does the traded pokemon mantain the item assigned to it? Like how in the mainline games you can send letters attached to pokemons?

Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

  1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
  2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in Repel that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
  3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
  4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
  5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

I’m looking at how to catch the legendaries and according to the list on the wiki, the roaming beasts can respawn after you become the Kanto champion. That tells me you can catch them before you go to the elite four. But I can’t even make it through the Ilex Forest at this point, which is before the 7th gym. Hey @crimson delta! Are you trying to evolve Kadabra? It evolves at level 40 or with a Linking Cord! No need to trade, just use it like you would an evolution stone.
