It's powerful, but that's not what we are talking about.
Types each have weaknesses (and resistances) to other types.
A super effective attack means hitting a weakness of the pokemon's type (or types in this case, like flying and ice for articuno).
Flying+ice for example is weak to rock (4x damage since both types are weak to it), steel, fire and electric, but resists bug and grass and is immune to ground.

Yeah, some people have a team that counter them hard, but if you don't have the ability to defeat at least 1 with your first pokemon, it usually ends up with a team wipe.

An ultra ball only has 2x multiplier on the capture chance over a normal pokeball, lucky but not that unlikely to catch it with a pokeball, especially if you reduced the HP to 1 and put it to sleep.

Hey @last olive! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

You can get hidden ability easy, you can either use ability ball or hidden ability transfer.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

So this can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn

Find the switch (random in 1 of the bins), then check one of the bins right next to it.
If you don't get the second switch, the first switch will move to a new bin (near the one it was in) and you will have to find it again for a chance to try for the second switch.

If for some reason no bin has the first switch, exit and re-enter to reset the puzzle.
It is random, so it can take a few tries, the trainers there should also explain these after you defeat them.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Hello, i'm stuck in a full random run of PIF
I'm on the rocket raid in the pokemon reserve, but because of the random items, I don't have any pokéball to capture anything, I only get the DNA fuser.
The only pokemon i have access to is when i get a free one to start the mission.
They are:

• gardevoir/crobat
• magcargo/graveler
• Shinx/aurorus

But none can learn cut or surf, needed to progress through that sidequest.
The only thing i can do is defuse gardevoir and crobat, fuse them again, and get access to teleport... which breaks the game, since i cannot come back to the mission, and i lose all my items (since it's requested to start that sidequest to bring nothing with you).

Any expert who knows how to unlock this hardcore puzzle ? ^^'

Having trouble keeping up your chain? Read through the steps below.

1. Gather up Repels and Pokéballs of your choice. It is also recommended to have Elixirs, Ethers, or Leppa Berries as well to maintain PP.
2. Apply a repel outside of the grass ⬅️ and then enter the grass where your desired Pokémon is located. The Radar has its own built in radar that only lasts 8 steps. The extra repel is for larger patches that would require more than those 8 steps. For small patches of grass, additional Repels aren’t needed
3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.

5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Hey @vernal spindle! Are you trying to unfuse a fusion? Use a DNA splicer on it!

If you're wanting to unfuse a Pokémon you got from a trade: Pokémon with a different OT than yours cannot be unfused! However, you can make it forget its OT in the school in Violet City (post game) for ₱50 000. You're free to unfuse it after that!

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

So this can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn

Not sure if it is related, but I think you might be using an old version of the game as well, I think the scientist is supposed to be in the grass patch right after the bridge in more recent versions.

there are 2 pools of pokemon per grasspatch/route

• it shows encounters on the top of your screen from pokemon pool 1, the same encounter you get when randomly walking into grass without using pokeradar.

• pool 2 is the pool you enter if you trigger a fight from shaking grass that is pokemon pool 2. In randomizer this will fall under static encounters

in normal gameplay these are near identical, so you dont notice it.
in randomizer based on your settings these 2 pools can contain different pokemon.

so counterintuitively the pokemon shown by the pokeradar on random, are not the mons you find when using the pokeradar.
but the ones you find when not using the pokeradar.

(the only excluded mon from this rule is the green circle encounter, that is always static.
