I've been trying to find a piplup, and the bot says I can get them in either at Knot Island (the wiki says the same but its for the network adapter quest which gives the box link rather than a sinnoh starter now), it also says Veridian River however the only statics I can get to appear there are Kalos starters and non others, and lastly it the bot says Boon Island however thats a postgame unlock and I'd like to finish my team before I get to post game (I need a piplup for Empoleon to fuse with Rapidash cause it looks very cool and I really want it)

they respawn if they were defeated, but they don't respawn if captured (i tested, at least for lugia/ho-oh and stronger legendaries), it's probably a conflict with the main quest, so if you capture some before the elite 4 they will respawn (i also got latios+as and latias+os both roaming at the same time....)

Havent played a while so i dont know what exactly is locked if i randomize. I remember it was only the Debug Island and Boots before. Is it still that or any more events 😄

oh yeah randomized runs are locked from Debug mode and all its contents. If you randomized you might get lock out of some of the quests or items to, but that are fixable by just reshuffling till you get the requirements like an Abra for the PokeRadar

and if you randomize (let's say items) and revert the random, it's still considered random, you need to never randomize anything in your save to get the boots

it only adds +1 to step count after you trigger the event to not keep getting porygons infinitly after checking the pc

so your step count has to be a multiple of 200 exactly before talking to the PC to get it to happen. Pretty kinda rng chance lmao

A little trick : Overworld poison happens when stepcount % 4 == 0, so have a pokemon take poison damage on the tile in front of the pc. Then you know it's an even number and a multiple of 4 like 200 is. Then walk 2 steps away and 2 steps back, you'll get it in under 50 tries

Comprehensive guide to getting porygon:

("pc" always refers to the computer used to access storage, not the pokemon center it's in)

0. Change the difficulty off of easy. This Strategy will not work on easy mode, since it uses poison damage. Change it in the options menu temporarily.

1. Get a poisoned mon. This can be easily done with poison mushrooms in viridian forest. If you're instead getting poisoned from a wild mon, make sure you still have some health left when you get to the pc.

2. Find a pokemon center. The Viridian and pewter pokemon centers are great for this, as they have an npc placed in a convenient spot for a later step.

3. Stand in front of the pc. Walk one tile down and then one tile up until you take poison damage. If you're able to access the pc on the same tile you take poison damage, skip to step 4. Otherwise, exit the pokemon center via the left or right side of the 3-tile exit and return immediately. When you return, you should be able to take poison damage directly in front of the pc

4. walk two tiles down from the pc, and then 2 tiles up. You should continue to take poison damage the moment you reach the pc if your poisoned mon is still alive (it can die at this point). Interact with the pc every time you do this (You don't need to open the storage.) Repeat up to 50 times.

Hey @valid frost! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.
