Hey @tacit stream! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

If you open the randomizer options menu (from the update man in a pokemon center) then it flags your game as randomized, even if you didn't enable those options. If this happens then you can't unlock debug with that save.
Easiest way to check is go to the developer NPC in celadon, and if he says "Randomized mode is fun, isn't it?" then you won't be able to unlock it

Your best option then is to catch all the pokemon, start a new game plus, (all your pokemon will be in the PC but unevolved), and then level everything up. You should be able to unlock it with the new save.

There is no "main" pokemon, there is a head and a body. You can usually figure out which is which by looking at the typing of the 2 results. The head's type comes first.

Hey @normal pier! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.
