gonna use it to evolve my starter, a goomy / chikorita, beforehand. Think it's bullshit that goomy doesn't evolve into sligoo until level 40. Can't be going around using babies at level 40. Plus, then you hardly get to use sligoo before it evolves into goodra.

Hey @timid wind! Are you having trouble starting the game? If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on your computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Not everyone has the time to grind for exp while nuzlocking, I would just be killing low leveled pokemon in the wild. Rare candies speed up the proccess and make it easier.

Hey @rapid nacelle! Are you looking for Surf? The Surf HM can be found in Fuschia City's Safari Zone, Area 4! You can follow the path in the image above to get to a house. In there, a scientist will give you the Surf HM!
You can also get its replacement item, the Surfboard, on Route 19, after getting 6 badges (and have the HM already).

how does randomizing per route work exactly? Couse I'm confused. Route 1 should have 5 encounters normally, but I've seen 8 different ones, depending on time of day. Does it follow modern mode encounters?

which means 30 possible encounters due to fusions

tbh, ive recently heard wild encounter reshuffle itself for no reason sometimes .. so it might be an actual bug

I went through an entire day night cycle recording all encounters I got on route 22. That route is supposed to have 11 encounters on modern mode, most of which can be found no matter what time of day. 6 encounters on normal mode, most of which can be found no matter what time of day. In randomized mode this is what I found:

Dawn: Warfa, Deitly, Axetik, Drowtly, Bontata

Noon: Cudle, Ekreep, Warnaut, Zurino, Happinians

Dusk: Fletchpet, Macko, Squirtnat, Krokogon, Ferrorogue
