the order of the fusion will determine what abilities are shown

some abilities will only appear if the mon that has it is the body

prime example being Huge Power

there's no way to know about this issue beforehand until it happens

when in the dex, you input the mons in a specific order

what you get normally with that specific order will be the left side on the regular listing

but if you reverse the fusion and do it the other way around you will see the other set of abilities

only other way to make sure is save before you fuse, do it the way you want, and if you don't get the result you were after; close the game, relaunch it, do the fusion in the other direction and that should yield the ability you want

Hey @bronze forge! Are you trying to unfuse a fusion? Use a DNA splicer on it!

If you're wanting to unfuse a Pokémon you got from a trade: Pokémon with a different OT than yours cannot be unfused! However, you can make it forget its OT in the school in Violet City (post game) for ₱50 000. You're free to unfuse it after that!

and it uses classic as its base

easiest way to check is either wild encounters on a route [as that will differ between modern and classic] or, since a lot of that data has been updated to 6.0+, the gym typings

if you beat all the gyms...then you can try finding the gym leaders to talk to them for the rebattle area in...whatever city it is in

and check against that

rename the sprite to the fusion number if needed [some sprites come prenumbered]
if you need to add a letter addition onto the end do so [ex: 291.275a]
make sure it is saved as a PNG file
drag sprite into your Custom Battler folder

then just load the game up, assuming it meets the proper requirements, the game will see the sprite and index it

if it is replacing a sprite, the game will ask if you want to do that
