Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Think about if you made a character on WoW Burning Crusade back in the day, then logged out and never touched it. Then if you try to login now to WoW classic, your old BC character won't be there. Old school and modern are mostly separate.

Might as well put this here in case someone else will be searching for this issue in the future and i spent entire day struggling : In case of problem with GPU or 117 plugins when they are automatically stopped whenever you try to activate them, one of the things worth checking is if you have any non-ASCII symbols in the name of your Users folder ( In my case it was the same as my real name created by default based on microsoft account and contained a single non ASCII symbol ). It caused the path for both GPU and 117 plugins to be incorrect even thought all the other plugins were working fine. It can also cause the runelite launcher to not work either if the runelite is installed in the /Users/Appdata folder.

NP, that plugin is not needed anymore. If you use bank tags there is an option to enable layouts there. And you can export Bank Tag Layouts to Bank Tags

Hey, I've been having this same problem with a new PC build
doesn't happen on my ~9 yr old previous build or ~3 yr old laptop
tried a clean install of windows 10, clean install of windows 11, toggling all the "game mode" and "overlay" and "optimizations for windowed games" and "gpu scheduling" and similar sorts of random options that come default and might be related
even tried replacing the CPU, and then when that didn't work, a different model of motherboard/RAM (all within return windows so no worries lol)

also tried running Runelite in compatibility mode for windows 8, and safe mode

it doesn't happen 100% of the time which honestly makes it more frustrating, it only happens maybe 1/100 times I minimize it, which makes reproducing the issue very difficult

and also makes it hard to know if a given thing fixed it or if I just got lucky

also, if someone else is using an AMD 9600x CPU and not having this problem, could you let me know which motherboard/RAM you're using?
that way I can try just getting the exact same model and then if it still happens I can at least feel assured that it's not a hardware incompatibility problem

Hey guys, weird situation here.... When I try logging into my group ironman I get stuck with a "loading please wait" and then black screen. Client seems like it almost freezes (If i drag it around, everything seems stuck in place)

What's weird is, I can log into my main totally fine on runelite, this issue is just isolated to my irons account? I can log into my iron on the HDOS client too.

I deleted cache, disabled 117 HD and GPU (and tinkered with having only one on, or none on). Uninstalled and re-installed launcher. Booting it in safe mode does work but i'm not sure how to fix it permanently. Any suggestions would be helpful

Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Uninstalled a few other plugins I could live without after making the 2nd profile for testing, restarted the client and did a full TOA run. Didnt encounter the problem during the whole run when it usually happens a good amount of times during each. Hi all, when I try to play on my laptop the GPU plugin won’t enable. It does the auto on/off that is described on GitHub. System has a 1650. I went and manually selected the 1650 and ensured the integrated graphics aren’t being used in both the nvidia control app and through windows. Anyway to fix this? Good morning - might be butchering this question; I have two HP bars appear on my client, one at the top when killing bosses and a secondary one which appears (smaller and more contained - had to move it out the way). I've recently gone back to fixed mode and now it clutters the UI too much. Some people have had luck ending all sessions through the OSRS website as well

okay well i just figured out u can have certain plugins for certain accounts thats cool

however im still having problems with finding plugins in plugin hub and then installing them

for example i usually have 4 chunk specific plugins. only 2 of them are found in plugin and they wont even install.

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

any idea why none of my installed plugins are showing on the right sidebar?

I changed profiles, checked that they are still installed, relaunched the client, and restarted my PC and nothing has fixed it. My notes still show, but anything non-standard is missing.
