hi, i transferred files over to different drives today on my pc so i got logged out of my runelite profile and now i cant login to the specific email profile anymore. when i try to login to the very specific email using exact credentials, it logs me into a gmail account which i never have used/they dont have the same credentials/password. i even exported the profile file from my laptop and it still doesnt work

Hello, I've had this happening for a long while now, but I decided to try and see if this is a known issue:
Upon resizing the window, if using GPU mode(either base RL or 117), the render sometimes breaks and gets pushed up into the top left corner. Particularly annoying when having RuneLite -> Resize type set to "Keep window size", as it often does this when opening a sidebar. Example video is only in the log in screen, but the exact same thing happens in game as well. It does not happen with GPU plugin off, as demonstrated from 35s onwards, even though I still see a faster top-left flicker while slowly resizing, it never ends up stuck like with GPU on.

This is occurring under Arch Linux, KDE(Wayland) 6.1.3, Nvidia 555.58.02, happens both with Java 17 and 11. Though, this has been happening for a while, so it might not be a matter of these exact versions, I forget when this has started.

This isn't really critical, I can just open and close sidebar repeatedly to fix it, but it is kind of an annoyance

Your video is just a black screen for me on mobile and I don't run RL on linux, but I'd try some different gpu drivers first (update and/or rollback). If that does not work, you could maybe try the snap version instead of the appimage or vice versa.

After playing around with plugins a bit more, I found that Stretched Mode seems to cause it in combination with GPU - stretched mode off fixes it, too. Kind of don't want to play with an interface for ants though

Hi, I have fairly regular RuneLite crashes that all have JVM crashing with "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION"

From what I can tell, this may either be a problem with JVM version or any JNI calls.

First question would be: is there any way to determine if this is caused by a plugin?

Second question would be, what determines which version of JVM RuneLite is using? Is that automatically updated? Or should I redownload the RuneLite launcher?

I'm on linux and I'm trying to fit 3 clients on top of each other without overlap on a 1440p monitor. I see that the scale option is what is recommended but can not seem to get fractional scaling to work (i.e. 2.0 works, 1.5 does not, 0.5 does not). Is this a known issue and is there a workaround or does anyone know where I could start looking to try and make my own? My current google searches are not very fruitful.

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

  • If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
  • Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
  • Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Hello. I have tried in vain to get support from Jagex, regarding the issues getting the "new" launcher - I run Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS, and finally today i found a work around to get the Jagex Launcher installed.

  • But, then when was all happy an ready to install Runelite on the launcher and play, it didn't verify the download, and remained in the same state as if i did not download Runelite for jagex launcher. The launcher runs through a program called "wine", and maybe it's something to do with the directory of the Runelite files location?, when it need to work with the launcher through a third program? I can't find anyone with the same issue, so i'm hoping someone has a fix for Ubuntu user with this mandatory launcher Jagex has launched...

When fletching moonlight antlers into moonlight antler bolts, the idle notifier is not working. Haven't had an issue with any other items. Haven't tried with sunlight to see if it's a Varlamore items issue, but I'm willing to investigate more.

Hello. I am having this super weird issue where Runelite is messing up in 350 ToAs. My first issue, it just closed out on its own. Second issue, I am entering into Warden room and my screen goes black, i can turn my camera and click on things, then it said connection lost.

Personally I couldn't get my system stable with setting a speed, I had to just disable CPB and live with it haha. Might wanna try whatever speed your CPU is rated at, maybe a little below that to start. 🤷

All speed step and other things like it do is modulate the frequency to slow when not in use and juice when you need it, if you just set it to always use the juice all the time to not care about efficiency of power it’s gonna have no performance loss

Not insanely high. My numbers might be off, so apologies, but 0.5-2 GB? Depends on how many hub plugins you have and probably if you increased the heap space manually or not. There is some gpu driver memory leak on macos sometimes iirc, so if you are seeing e.g. 6GB, that's probs the cause

i need help with a permanent fix for no audio when i launch runelite. every time i have to go into "open Sound Settings" > "App volume and device preferences" > Switch the output device from 1 device to another every time. I asked the company that made the mixer and confirmed it was an audio issue with runelite itself after troubleshooting.

i've already nuked the audio drivers. reinstalled. this is a custom build. I used DDU to remove the audio drivers and reinstalled them from the motherboard manufacturer's website.

the beacn software was completely reinstalled. I've also checked to make sure my windows 10 is not an N build.

I've been experiencing crashes recently related to Runelite where it is randomly closing, I've tried launching in safemode and that doesnt seem to help. There doesnt seem to be anything in particular that triggers it, the client will just close without warning. I've seen others have had this issue in the past but all the fixes I've found online didnt seem to help. Does anyone know what this could be related to?

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

  • If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
  • Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
  • Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

Is consuming a click behaviour actually Jagex compliant? It seems somewhat sketchy to have a plugin essentially nullify/consume a click that would result in a negative action occurring in game.

Looking for some confirmation before working on development of something that uses this feature.

Silly question, but for the flowchart, when you get to the step of duplicate your RL config profile. Does that need to be done in normal mode and not safe mode?

Ive been having a fps problem for quite som time now... my setup is as following:
Ryzen 5600x
32gb ddr4 3200mhz
7900xt founders edition
i use the gpu plugin with unlocked fps and a cap at 240 fps and everything at lowest setting and i get around 10-15 fps in civitas ila fortis and other places...
This problem occurs when i zoom out...

I hope somebody can help me...
