Well, RL releases are often done during the weekly update when Jagex breaks stuff. This will likely be an easy fix, so the author or someone else will fix it soon.

No, but there is one that uses hotkeys to join a party. Adam doesn't like autojoining parties iirc, since it causes unnecessary load for the party system (people that don't need to be in a party autojoin the party).

Currently you can move a lot further in a single click by a max zoomed out click on the actual map/world. As opposed to if you clicked as far as you possibly could on a max zoomed out minimap w/ minimap zoom plugin

fyi another way to create "default" profile, this time using a second client to delete the active profile:
- open 2 clients
- client 1: duplicate a profile to test with and switch to it.
- client 2: refresh the profile list and switch to the newly created duplicate profile.
- client 1: switch to the original profile.
- client 2: switch to the original, then back to the duplicate.
- client 1: delete duplicate.
- client 1: close client.
- client 2: close client.
- start a new client and observer "default" profile creation bug.
I believe you get the "lost active profile" warning on step 8
(original profile was synced, duplicate wasn't, dunno if that affects it).
I doubt you can @Inject into static members.
I removed the static declarations (they did not need to be static) but this turned out to not be the problem (or not the main problem. It could also have been an issue). For posterity's sake, I was trying to inject inside of a helper class, not the main plugin class. When I injected and did plugin dependency inside of my actual plugin class that seems to have solved the problem.
that makes sense. if you want to inject it into a helper class then that helper class has to be created by injection as well.

Hello. I'm trying to read the status indicators inside of tempoross so I can see energy, storm intensity, etc. I think these things are rendered on a widget (I'm new to developing against runelite), but I'm unable to read the content for some reason. Gotta pass --developer-mode to enable the dev tools
the widget inspector would let you see specifically what widget id you want, then you can getWidget() that id
That way you can also determine if it's sent as e.g. a varbit using the var inspector (disclaimer: I know nothing about tempoross from a dev perspective)
Ah, ok. I run it with --debug and --developer-mode from the wiki guide, but didn't notice it enabled those tools in the menu on the side 🤦♂️ . Very good to know I'll dig into that more.
Ok I'll double check the varbits. I was viewing a list of them and didn't see anything related to tempoross, but this seems like a much better way to find out. Thank you for the guidance everyone.

I'm trying to create a plugin that filters the chat so users can e.g. set public chat to friends+CC members+FC members. I'd like to set the chatfilter to public first so I can then filter the messages.
Based on my research, setting the chatfilter to public is only possible by running client scripts. For e.g. public chat (2), client.runScript(152, 2, 0) works great. After hopping the filter is still set to public.

However, for FC (4) and CC (5) this only partially works. When you hop, the FC/CC filter gets reset to the previous setting the user selected before running the script.

I'm currently adding a menu entry to the right-click menu which normally enables the right chatfilter (public) by just clicking on it. I'd also like to change the text to Filtered or Custom after enabling the option, so it kind of behaves like a proper OSRS chatfilter. So it'd be quite counter-intuitive if the user has to set the filter setting twice (none of the current chatfilters behave that way). I also expect not users to always remember to set it to public (or to ever set it to public), so then it'd be broken for a lot of users/there'd be a lot of support traffic.

When changing my Windows monitor scale from 100% to 125% everything changes size (discord, desktop icons, youtube) yet my runelite doesn't get affected by the change, even with setting like "lock window size" off, anyone have any suggestion/idea why this could be?
Nevermind I fixed it!
With the latest runelite launcher, you can open runelite (configure) and change the scale that way. On older launchers pass the --scale argument.

I'd think that you'd rather have runelite set to 100% scaling and just make the window bigger with UI scaling enabled in stretched mode, but maybe using windows scaling also looks ok?
I was testing things out because clanmates suggested 125% windows size, however after testing it yeah I'm not particularly a fan, have defaulted it back to 100% now and would probably do what you suggested if I was to try playing more than one account

I think something was changed a couple weeks ago where it now uses the actual slayer task count. not entirely sure though

you could turn on "show chat message for npc kills" and see if it recognizes 2 enemies dead in the same tick.
it works differently from how slayer plugin did back when it had issues tracking kills, so there's no reason to assume it wouldn't be accurate, i guess.

Anyone get weird lag? when I move my camera it keeps moving after I have let go of the key, and sometimes clicking when farming, my clicks don't register

I only get -1 back, even when moving or doing anything else. Similarly client.getLocalPlayer().getGraphic() is always -1. Subscribing to the associated events also does not ever return different values. Is there some dependency I would need to include or inject or something?
Moving uses pose animation
getAnimation() is for other types of animations

A very large number of agility obstacles change poses. Probably the majority of the ones I’ve tested.
It’s still an outstanding bug in JebScape. Players just walk across many obstacles since I’m not passing along pose updates yet.

Happens on vanilla when I switch from a profile with Task InfoBox true back to one where it is false. After the swap the task infobox is visible.
is it possible this is happening because the layer of the infobox is changing?
it's in different positions and layers between the two profiles
if the layer is wrong in the config, then the infoboxmanager won't be able to find the infobox so that it can remove it.

I built some birdhouses in game and the correct value (15) only comes from getVarpValue
getVar and getVarbitValue are both wrong. so this fix would probably work.

New to the chat by the way, I was playing soul wars about an hour ago, I had a ahrims setup with justiciar and for some odd reason I randomly got stuck with my justiciar visually. I know it’s confusing how I said it, visually I have on justiciar with dfs and fang but im completely naked.

For levels you can probably also set a goal in the exp tracker and then show the widget from the xp tracker or something like that, but I never use goals so not entirely sure

Sure, I can't imagine that would be much extra work as an option. I created this solely to improve on scouting.
It builts upon the existing default CoX plugin and primarily just adds some visuals (found reading the textbox a bit cumbersome, icons are faster to parse for me at least) + some QoL/utils for faster/more comfy scouting (pattern/layout matching w/ audio notifications upon entering good scouts/layouts, visual indicators for bad/non-tradeable scouts, ...oh and ofc a scout dryness counter)

@kindred stag I gave the modifed RuneLiteObject concept a try and I get what you mean by it not being a very clean process... I at least got to see a Blender monkey ingame before a power surge hit.
"Cleanest" way I found was to prepare the mesh to import by weighting verts/polys that may be discarded during decimation. Then dump all vert/face/color counts for all ingame models, run a comparison that selects an ingame model with the closest vert/poly counts, decimate the import mesh to match up exactly using the weights. I then dumped the coords/indices as a binary blob which could be "imported"/replace the game model with the new one via a plugin.
I had a look-up table with RGB to closest JagexHSL color from a previous test so I used that to convert colors during export.

No, shared edges aren’t usually used underneath the hood. Usually you try to store the shared vertices for different faces and any edges would just be inferred from that, being drawn at rasterization time after the vertices have been repositioned in front of the camera.

@shy carbon I’m looking again at the Mesh RuneLite class. It has face indices accessible, which implies that Jagex is already indexing their vertices for their triangles? Why then does 117 HD duplicate vertices instead of indexing using glDrawElements()?
You can’t resize the arrays you get back. You can only change their elements. So you’d have to do something to handle the spare triangles and vertices that aren’t used. A degenerate triangle is a trick we use in rendering that basically makes them invisible. One way to do it would be to assign the indices to the same vertex, effectively making the triangle a point. Not sure how Jagex’s software renderer would handle that situation.

so you've gotta build new indices on the fly, which is probably slower

If your projection is already using a float = float / float, just replace the denominator with 0.
If AMD recommend using NaN, there must be a reliable way to get a hold of one haha

Ints are really good for networking. They pack nicely together.
