i created ma lili and was an active toki pona speaker in ma kule, which both were/are smaller toki pona-based communities with a decent proportion of speakers inclined towards experimental usages. because of this, over the 6 months i left major community spaces i worked on many experimental usages of words and brand new words with quite a few people. these are the results of all of that work.

this thread is presented as a means of archiving a lot of work over months of time. I highly discourage speakers from adopting these nasin without the understanding that they are extremely non-standard and likely will not be understood by practically any speakers of the language.

by reduplicating a word in an interjection, the interjection becomes an ideophone, or symbolism for any sensory or emotional experience. suno suno could be the sensory representation of a reflective surface shining, for instance.

either modifying a head with ale or reduplicating the head in a typical sentence applies a similar effect to nanpa wan. wawa wawa could be "most powerful", and nasa ale could be "strangest"

it is important to mention that examples like lili lili are ambiguous, and can mean "smallest" or "slightly small"

pseudo-particle anu
changes anu to work similarly to taso or kin. all provided alternatives require the object phrases to be modified with anu, like so:

ta or ni, the preverb phrase particles

additionally, you can use ni in the way described in this article if you'd like to avoid adding a word

categorical definitions (also known as X = ijo X)
treats words as containing ijo (word) within their semantic spaces. as an example, pali would include ijo pali implicitly, allowing the word to potentially mean (but is not limited to meaning) "worker".

interestingly enough, this nasin does exist in a tamer form with pu's adjectives being allowed to mean "thing that is (adjective)", such as "pona" meaning "a good thing" in certain uses

spatial kepeken and sama
makes kepeken able to mean "through" and sama able to mean "alongside" as a preposition. this is in line with the other prepositions, where spatial information can be communicated.

weka preposition
makes weka able to mean "absent", "except", or "without" as a preposition.

inta, the non-standard pseudo-particle
inta (← Portuguese ainda 'still, yet, even') is a particle that allows the speaker to specify the level of information they have about a situation. as a modifier, it means "at least" or "definitely", indicating knowledge of one thing but not necessarily other things.

sina toki tawa ona taso. → "You talk to them only."
sina toki tawa ona kin. → "You talk to them as well."
sina toki tawa ona inta. → "You talk to at least them (but maybe others as well)."

sina taso li toki tawa ona. → "Only you talk to them."
sina kin li toki tawa ona. → "You also talk to them."
sina inta li toki tawa ona. → "At least you talk to them (but I have no idea about anyone else)."

as a conjunction, inta means something along the lines of "actually"; it's a way to amend, clarify, or specify statements:

→ I talked to a new group (of people).
→ Actually, I talked to a person in the new group (of people).

3-color system
removes laso and jelo, leaving a system in which value and context is more important than hue. walo refers to brighter colors, loje refers to warmer or more saturated colors, and pimeja refers to darker colors.

• obscure preverbs no longer break my ability to parse a nonstandard sentence

i think anyone who wants to use nonstandard preverbs should consider using ta

I think it should be something built around a vertical line, since kin and taso are both like that and it makes instinctive sense to me now

Maybe like a vertical zigzag, from simplifying ≤ or ≥

I just got another idea, similar-looking to that

An angular braid shape, which could represent:

• two inequality signs drawn on top of each other, per the above reasoning
• a stacked ala ala squished together, as sina inta could be roughly equivalent to sina ala ala ("not not you, but maybe others too")
• the word sounding similar to insa, since the glyph has a diamond-shaped interior

hmm, or maybe just a triangle around the convex hull of taso, to indicate the scope expanding from the stated item instead of just hitting a limit

and with the vertical line also differentiating it from reversed li
