the criticism isnt that its different than the game, its that its worse than the game

the manga is incredibly rushed and the pacing is way too fast especially during the first few chapters, although this seems to be less of an issue with the more recent chapters

to be fair, I think the passing is shit because they are probably limited in term of chapter

in Sunny's head? It's probably a deep inner feeling toward what HE wanted to ask his own sister, not Kel and Hero. Kel and Hero in the real world are very VERy close after all.
and if headspace is meant to mirror things from the real world and re-elaborate them for Sunny to some degree, I can't help but think that.

at the very best its just a small piece of extra content that you can kind of mindlessly enjoy for a bit and then move on after 15 minutes, at worst youll actively dislike the manga and get annoyed at all of the things they got wrong

To be honest, I didn't like the brainwashing by the machine in the previous chapter. I felt it would have been better if it had taken place in a dream mental world called Headspace, like in the game.
However, I think that depiction actually worked to make the scene in this chapter stand out (the scene where Aubrey's crazy, unfocused eyes show the brainwashing and coercion).
For this reason, when I rewatched the brainwashing by the machine in the previous chapter, it didn't seem so bad.

Though the Omori expressing so much emotions (directly against his cliff-face unless forced otherwise in battle by Sunny) can be ignored (though not liked by me) under the reasoning that this is re-imagining or re-writing of the story...

The story feels incredibly rushed

The only thing I like is some panels here and there

But apart from that, it's bad

Random emotional lines being dropped randomly anywhere

Which takes away the emotion. The characters start dropping sobbing dialogues anywhere anytime, and too frequently

It also feels like there was not much hope or expectations from the manga, and hence not enough time is being put into it. No hope for becoming as successful as the game or other mainstream manga, so it something they are just getting done with

Extremely fast paced, there is no time to breathe

I believe if there were not the game, and this manga was the media which was released, it would have flopped. It's bad at expressing even its interpretation of the story
