in this case, they used it very casually, kind of like the word “this guy” or “this person”, not as an insult

it used to be very rude, but eventually it evolved into a word that can be used in a non-insulting manner as well, it depends on the context
it is still very informal though, so while it’s fine to say it around friends, it wouldn’t be very wise to use it to refer to your boss when you’re at work for example

It's difficult to explain accurately and properly, but normally, even for a popular manga, it takes about two years from the start of serialization until it is made into an anime.

Omori has already released the entire story, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to make an anime out of it now. The iron is still hot here.

I'm not sure about the rights, but I think Alterverse is probably not a pirated copy. Probably.
This company publishes other Japanese manga in German besides Omori.
I think the confusion arose because Omori's official account and omocat had not announced it.

I had a small manga dream last night, where I was reading a physical page of a hypothetical "meanwhile" chapter that focused on Kel while Sunny was asleep and brought back to his house or something, I don't even know where.

In this dream, Kel was kinda wandering aimlessly a little around the house, unable to really sleep right now and just taking some sights in.

He also then stopped to look at some things I can't remember and even briefly spoke with some kind of Southern accent for a second.

And lastly, as he did all this, the door was suddenly knocked on and someone just barged in... Being Aubrey's mom, who was acting uncharacteristically "sweet" and trying to get Kel to tell her where Aubrey was, for some reason. It was strange and maybe a bit unsettling(?).

There was also something else before that where Chapter 1's moment of Sunny and Kel being outside and going to Hobbeez was expanded/rearranged a little where Kel tells Sunny about how he was doing and helping him catch up, including how he and Cris (the blue-haired girl who he befriended from sports in-game) were outright dating as well and that he couldn't wait to show Sunny to her... But were then interrupted by the sight of Basil and Aubrey.
