Right-click the volume speaker icon in your taskbar. Select "Sounds". Then Select the "Recording" tab. Now pick the microphone you want to change (presumably the headset and it must be an active device - plugged in and on). Go to the Properties, switch to the "Listen" tab, and uncheck "Listen to this device" box. Click all the OK buttons and close out of the boxes and you should no longer hear yourself in the headset. Let me know how it goes!

I got a headset and mouse for my birthday a few years ago, and ended up having some minor issues with them. Rubber grips eventually starting to come off from the warmth of my hands, cable on headset messing up, etc. They've always been fixed promptly by Steelseries. I'd say that you should put in a support ticket with them, they should be able to help you out

i think because i unplugged the usb before it was actually "finished" and swapped the battery to a fully charged one and it wouldn't turn on since. it comes up with a weird thing when something is plugged into the headphone jack and connected via usb : #archive-user-support message

Ooh ok, yea that'll do it. PCs and consoles have fail safes to help keep that from happening if like, you're updating firmware on a PS5 or something and it powers off, they tend to be ok. But yea, for peripherals you definitely gotta be careful. Can have some big uh ohs happen if you do something

Hi, I really need some help. I have a ss keyboard and mouse, both with oled display. I also have SSGG set to start with windows (11). Here is what is happening. First, ssgg does NOT start with windows, as the icon is not in the tray. But, my mouse oled does show the stats I want to see, and had set up in the engine. But, the kb oled is blank. So, if I manually start ssgg, it asks if I want the system monitor to run. I click yes. Then, both oled's show the data, BUT, my kb color blinks on and off about every 30 sec with ssgg running in tray. I am new to ss gear, and have no clue how to fix this. As long as ssgg is not running in the system tray, kb does not blink, but there is NO oled display. As soon as I do run it, and start system monitor, and now is visible in the tray, the kb blinks. How can I fix this? Now I just noticed the mouse oled go blank, and now it just says steelseries. It just keeps going on and off. I feel there is some issue with the system monitor that I do not know how to address. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, as I am looking, the oled on mouse is now totally off.

emmm I'm having problems with my receiver on my artic 7 that iv had for a year and one month by now and its not picking up my voice iv tried everything i think iv turn off the head set and turn it back on, unplugged the receiver and plugged it back in, hold the little button on the receiver, reset the head set with the little hole on the left ear cup, uninstall the engine and reinstall it, uninstalled it aging with revo and installed v3 on the engine and updated the head set still nothing, and iv see that walking out of range will fry up the receiver but idk the mic still work bc i have it connected with an cable and ween i have it connected with wireless it still send sound but not the mic and makes weird static sound

i had an explosion effect on my old keyboard ( not steelseries ) . It was affecting buttons close to pressed button. And i think that effect is much better than these. You can also add " explosion fade " effect which does same with explosion effect but fades the illumination instead.

Is there any issues with Windows 11, DISCORD, and ARCTIS PRO Wireless. I can't keep the audio settings stable. If I am inactive for any length of time the setting's which did work no longer work. I can disable and re-enable the ARCTIS PRO and restore the ability to speak in DISCORD but then there are no game sounds in Rust. Any ideas?

I currently have the pro for pc, looking to maybe upgrade for my headset, Just wasn't sure if Sonar is actually worth it and if it works, how well. Plus the noise canceling sounds nice, cause my house can get loud with two little ones running around. I have the Apex pro and the magnetic switches are amazing on how responsive. I got the rival 600, looking to maybe upgrade that too, but not sure on what to replace it with i was looking at the prime + because its got the magnetic switches too, hoping would be just as responsive as my apex pro, however I don't like light mice. I have all the weights in my 600.

The sonar is nice still in the start up people still messing with it since it’s still brand new if you want you can wait for everyone to run through it and find the settings and more EQs pop up but a lot of the sonar settings either close to good and just need some tweaks every EQ honestly a personal preference. It’s honestly an upgrade some people had issues with the mic in the ear cups but I haven’t had an issue with that honestly don’t even notice it until I touched it with my finger lol but I haven’t had complaints I love ‘em so far

I disabled the sonar EQ for the basic default SS Engine EQ just because it's simple imo. The fact that the active noise cancellation is going kind of gives me a migraine or rather makes my ears feel like they are ready to pop as though driving up and down in altitude quickly, my semi solution to this was enabling the transparent mode on the dac and bringing down to about 2-4 to allow some noise to pass through. Anyone else have that sensation from the active noise cancellation ?

I have the same issue. The fix is to set the audio line output to speaker instead of stream. My issue is that it will revert back once it lose power. I sent a ticket to support and see if it's a firmware issue.

Hi all, can you recommend a mouse for iMac (has only USB-C ports). Im currently using USB-A wired mouse via adaptor, but sometimes it just looses signal during gameplay. Do I have to use dongle or can connect directly with bluetooth? is bluetooth connection slower or has any other disadvantages to compare with dongle-connection? If you change a USB cable from a mouse that comes as USB-C to USB-A, then I can't think of a reason that would affect performance with a USB-C to USB-C. You should be absolutely fine replacing the cable or even just using a USB-A to C adapter

I don't know how to explain it better, but it seems to disconnect completely. Sometimes briefly (for a second or so), and sometimes completely.

What headphones do you have? because the clearcast ai noise cancellation is only available for the Steelseries Nova Pro's. If you do have them then you can activate it by enabling sonar or maybe if there's an option in the engine to enable it then that'll work to but I only know of the sonar route

hey guys, I am having problems with my Arctis 9. yesterday night I went for a walk with it, it was connected to my PC I think but then I just got out of the home, and to connect it to my phone I restarted it. When I got back home, I couldn't pair it to my pc back again no matter what I do.
I get one red blink when I press the power button, and then nothing. But if connect it to PC via cable, I get green-or yellow, if I hold long enough I get rapid white-blinking. Yet, even that won't help me, as my PCs can't see the headset...
Its bluetooth works fine- connects to my phone no problem, but my pc wont see it. I even tried redownloading the GG app, I tried hard-resetting the headset via its tiny hidden button. No use. When I try to pair via GG app, it shows both transmitter and headset as connected to the PC, but when I proceed, it says "pairing failed" Could really use some help, thanks in advance!

Looking to see if anyone has any input in this issue I've come across - In Chrome and Firefox, if I'm watching a video (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) the sound will become increasing desynched from the video. This only happens when the audio output source is SteelSeries Sonar - Gaming. If I switch it to the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless source, this does not occur. Haven't been able to find any info online

I've had the Pro Wireless for years and it's been working great but the right earcup is damn close to falling off. I've never dropped them or anything. Now, unlike other posts that I've seen, there's doesn't appear to be any cracking by the hinge but still seems like it's gonna fall off at any second. That's why I went for the Nova lol

Yeah I think they’re great so far. I agree the sound without EQ is a bit lacking compared to the last Arctis Pros but I typically just use the Movie: Immersion preset and that sounds about the same to me

The Nova Pro's sonar app isn't picking up any sound.

When I use the sonar app, I lose all sound; however, when I change the sound output to my "Arctis Nova Pro Wireless" headphones, I can hear audio; however, when I switch to "steelseries sonar- gaming," I lose all sound.
I've tried reinstalling, unplugging, and restarting my computer, but the sonar audio are still unavailable. Any guidance would be really helpful.

In steelseries GG, go into settings -> clips -> and adjust these settings to be a little less taxing on your system if you want access to moments still or you can disable it all together by going into "Capture and sound" and disabling "allow moments to capture while gaming". It will outright disable the capture service thread all together.

@dusty locust Nova pro = arctis pro but AROUND the ear not ON the ear. The ANC = a joke... the mic is just fine lil better than the pro / arctis so WAY WAY ok.

I spent this money because of ANC + ( bluetooth && USB ) So I could hear / use phone / baby monitor while working and not being disturbed by the wife or other children and without having to switch headsets for calls. Cause that crap is ANNOYING!!!!!

But the advertised ANC = crap... like worse than crap it amplifies and emphasize's voices and kids and there tv's and music. its legit COUNTER PRODUCTIVE!

interesting issue. occassionally, F key decides to just.... not. whenever it breaks, the ALT key, and F5 keys also break. APEX 3 btw. if i hold the multimedia button and volume scrollthing down, the F key will sometimes work, but alt and F5 will not. i have: A) unplugged and replugged keyboard. B) restarted PC. C) reinstalled all sorts of drivers, from keyboard and steelseries engine to USB hub. i've even re-flashed my BIOS and attempted on a fresh install of windows. D) tried using different usb ports, a usb hub or motherboard ports, as well as attempting to use a different motherboard. the usb ports themselves are not faulty, my other peripherals work fine. both 2.0 and 3.0. E) tried to factory reset (unplug, hold multimedia and volumethingy, plug in, wait for flash), but it just.... wouldn't. no flash, even after minutes of holding.

oh and F) lots and lots of googling to no avail.

i've had this keyboard for ~6 months. my previous keyboard, a logitech somethingorother, had zero problems for 5 years. this is ridiculous.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure I tried using both when my wireless headset was wired in and nothing worked, I also tried adjusting volume using windows itself and it would just default back to 100% without making any change

Well, there is both on there

How it works is at first it's volume, tap the dial in (it's also a button) and it switches to mixer control, do it again and it goes back to volume control

Anyhow, Im pretty sure I tried using the dial, but with no luck whatsoever, volume stays 100% unfortunately - i guess it's just like that

The dac has volume control, tap the button and it changes to mixer control (what the other guy was talking about balancing what you wanna hear most, the game or the discord)

The headset also has this feature, as it also has a click able dial on the left bottom side of the headset

But that feature is disabled when it is wired, and so is the dac I'm pretty sure, which is why I feel like there's no way to adjust audio

Hello i have an artic 7 wireless and i have an issue that no matter how much i charge it the power button shows red and it keeps bippin and what i try to check what is wrong in the engine app it says that my headset is not connected and i need to reconnect even tho it is connected and i tried to factory reset and nothing works

I replaced the wires on upper ANC mic's with half the gage wire and put MLV (effectively closing off half of the air input to upper and lower mic's) boom ANC works like a absolute charm now.

You could try wiggling the squeaky joint in hopes it stops, or oil it up with plastic safe, non corrosive oil (not recommended though as oil is messy lol), or you could make a ticket with steelseries

I personally haven’t gotten my nova’s yet, they’ll be in within a week, but when I get them imma check for this squeak and see if I have it too

I mean afaik, especially in America but you could be from another country so I can’t say for sure, but you should be able to get some free replacement that won’t count against the warranty since it’s within 30 days of purchase but I’d talk to support about it by making a ticket as soon as possible if I were you . I haven’t heard anyone else complain of this issue so it most likely won’t be on the next headset (and I’ll definitely tell you if I have that issue as well)

Hello everyone! I have just got my new arctis 7 headset and the mic is horrible (its like im talking from an old phone). I tryed to change frequency but it was already at 48000hz. I tried to reinstall the drivers 2 times but it also didn't help. Can the wireless be the problem? (maybe sound isn't as good with wireless) Or I don"t know. Can someone help me please? Thanks!
