hello, I have kraken pro v2 and using it 5 years and it takes all output sound to the microphone. It uses 3.5mm jack. Now I want to buy a new headset but I'm confused about the problem I mentioned. Arctis prime and void elite is my 2 options. Prime has jack and void elite has soundcard. The problem won't be on void elite I know for sure. But does arctis prime? Can we say all 3.5mm jack headsets on the same motherboard takes all pc sound to microphone?

I just got Arctis Pro Wireless and the Chatmix is not working on Discord, I see two Outputs one with GAME and one with CERTIFIED. When I select the CERTIFIED one ( which I assume is CHAT ? ) I get no sound. Yes, I need the Chatmix 😄 . Does anyone know what's the issue ? They're literally one day old. I have Razer Nari Ultimate and it's working perfectly .... Thank you!

I've got a problem with my arctis 9 wireless. They always disconnect from the wireless transmitter when they turn off after the certain period of time of inactivity. When I put them back on, in order for them to reconnect to that wireless transmitter, I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds in order for the headphones to pair to the transmitter. It gets quite annoying to reconnect them every time. Is there anyway to get the Arctis 9 wireless to automatically connect when I put them on instead of having to hold the power button?

Hi, could someone help me with my arctis 9. Headset connects to the transmitter but there is no sound from headphones. Transmitter blinks like it is connected but headset led blinks white (not as fast as when trying to pair but also not as slow as when connected). Also i can't turn bluetooth on in them when they're in this state. SSEngine seems to work but when i try to change any settings in headphones (for example mic sidetone) headset does not respond. It is really frustrating. Only option to actually connect the device is when headphones are charging and turned off. Then, when i turn them on they pair instantly and work perfectly fine even after unpluging the charging cable. I tried reinstalling drivers, parinig again (through SSEngine and also through transmitter button), reinstalling devices, disabling enchancements, changing sound format in windows etc. Also hard reset of the headphones and clean installation don't seem to work...
tl;dr: arctis 9 are connected to PC->PC sends sound signal to headphones->headphones don't play ???????

I've had sound issues since the most recent windows update:
The EQ still worked properly but the surround sound did not, changing the settings on the GG or the DAC changed nothing,
It was shown as an active surround sound enabled but I definitely heard it not working.

The issue for me was:
After the windows update the default sound output was changed to the "Arctis Pro Wireless Chat", and the chat does not support/offer surround sound.
After changing default device to the "Arctis Pro Wireless Game" surround sound worked perfectly fine again

Last night it worked completely fine for 5 minutes, the connector LED didn't blink, my headset connected just fine, until i downloaded the software form SteelSeries/engine after looking in the manual just to look at it and give the software a try and now the connector and the headset shut its self out

Any see with the Arctis 7+ with GG Sonar, getting super bad audio/video desync? I ONLY have this issue with this headset and no other speaker/headset brand. Google searching/SS KB came up with no fixes. If I plug it directly into my computer, the volume wheel doesn't go all the way down to zero, and basically has 2 options, quiet and loud. past week and a half i've had problems with my sound as it fades out as long as nobody is talking, it doesn't have to be in a discord call either. i don't really know what could be causing this except sonar, but turning it off doesn't help either.
After i did download sonar my sound has been a bit scuffed though, with or without it being on.

Might need to reinstall the firmware on the headset. The software has the same issues for me and the only fix I've found is to force the firmware to reinstall and that keeps it good for a couple weeks.

Try using the latest SteelSeries Engine application to install the firmware on the Arctis 7 - Not the one included inside the GG application. (This is how I updated the firmware on my Arctis 7 because updating through GG was messing it up and breaking the ChatMix for it.)
You can find the older SteelSeries Engine via direct download on the SteerSeries servers still.
Unfortunately due to the rules on this Discord I'm not allowed to link to that application because only the GG application is officially supported. a Few google and reddit searched should point you in the right direction though.

This is because GG - Sonar auto-changes the windows default input/output setting every time Windows launches. I'm not sure why there isn't an option to disable this auto-changing feature, it's very frustrating. I think it's set-up to do that so that it will work "out of the box" for less tech savy users who don't know how to even change the input/output device on their system and applications, but for anyone with half a brain cell it's just an inconvenience that there isn't an option to disable it. I'm sure having it set to automatically change these settings to Sonar every time cuts down on support tickets.

Try manually re-setting the Sonar audio device in the windows sound manager to 48,000Hz Sometimes the audio devices goes smoothebrain and changes to 44,100hz and you get a lot of the issues you're describing.

hey guys my arctis 9 headset will charge with the green light showing and then if i unplug the charger even after three hours a red dot appears once and it turns off. Whats weird is that it pairs with bluetooth even when wireless but it wont pair with my pc even when plugged in. Hey, I just came Home from work and I just turned on my Arctis Pro Wireless to watch some YouTube. But suddenly I cant hear sound anymore. I can clearly hear it when I disconnect or connect it again but I cant hear Apps or Videos on YouTube.

Arctis pro wireless. The hinge/connector from the headband on my headset has broken. I've only had this headset 2 years and I'm not particularly hard on it. This happened with my arctis 7 a few years ago too. From what I can tell after a few months steel series doesn't accept returns and there's a proprietary screw preventing me from opening it to try and replace it myself. Any ideas?

Check to see if it still does it as the only device on that hub, sometimes other devices can cause issues on a hub. That will at least isolate it to the headset or not

I've only seen one year for purely mechanical (driver failing/Bluetooth messed up) reasons. They could blame a small little plastic piece braking on you so good luck getting it replaced

I have steelseries arctic 5 headphones. In the Steelseries GG app, nothing happens when adjusting the headphones (color, equalizer, etc.)
I'm using windows 10, don't use vpn or proxy. After the update (I didn’t check the app very often, I can’t say for sure), but the 2019 app partially works for setting up headphones, but the updated one doesn’t.

I found the 2019 application on the PC, it partially gives the settings for the headphones, but to fully use the settings (7.1, bass) it asks to update to the latest version. And in the latest version, nothing works and I hear myself

Hello all! I am always recording my Sea of Thieves sessions with my friends because most of the time some dumb funny shit happens. But recently after I bought my Steelseries Arctis 9 (or after sonar was released), my recordings are starting to act a bit weird. When I record it only records my game sound (Sea of Thieves), but not my discord (I also want to record that). Also my browser sound is not in the recording. These 2 things are normally in the chat channel from the chatmix function. Is there any way I can keep using my headset but also record game and chat sound at the same time? (I tried multiple recording software's, changing output sounds.) Or is there a (free) recording software that can handle this?

I had a similar problem. I unplugged the headphones, first set them up for the computer speakers, then connected the headphones and only changed the speaker type in the Sonar

Dolby Access, which I have been using since activating sonar in GG, remains deactivated. Namely, all spatial audio features are disabled. When I reported this to Dolby, they said that the problem may be related to GG and they will work on it. They even released a new version for it but it didn't work 🥲
