I have a problem with my pc, after it has run for a random amount of time. It freezes, and after about 3 mins, i get bluescreen with the message: dpc_watchdog_violation
Now i've tried everything google suggests, even contacted lenovo, who made the pc, and followed the suggestions they gave me. Nothing has worked.
Then i noticed something. When the freeze happens, and i turn my pc back on. The RGB of everything lights up instantly. Except for my keyboard (APEX M750)
So i wonder, could it be the driver for the RGB in the keyboard that causes this problem?

Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible to have my arctis 7 wireless hub connected to my desktop, and connect my switch docking station to the line in on my wireless hub so that i can listen to my desktop audio (for discord) as well as my game on the switch at the same time
Because i'd have to order a 3.5jack to usb cable for this and I want to know if this is possible before doing that

I've got some problem with my Arctis 5 😢 Everything works fine but the software (Steelseries GG ver.12.2.0) doesn't really want to do its job. I bought the headset like 3 years ago and I really love it, but recently I noticed things doesn't work as it supposed to be. I haven't touched the software for a long time, because I had pretty decent settings and it was fine for me, but once when I wanted to set the bass to high level (because of a song) although I saved it and all it didnt apply. I stared to mess with the other (mic volume, noise reduction, eq) settings and I couldn't really tell the difference... So I tried to change the RGB but to my suprise that doesn't changed... just like the other settings. I reinstalled the software and the driver already but still nothing :( The headset is set to default in the sound settings and the mic also

Its probably a software problem on the headphones. Try power cycling your arctis pro wireless and it should work. (Remove the battery amd hold power button for 10 seconds, reinsert battery and power on) if not, reconnect to base station.

A few years ago I bought a Siberia V3 and this was a headphone that always made me very happy. I loved this equipment as much as the service you provided me when my USB version needed to be changed because the microphone stopped working. You guys were wonderful, sent me another one free of charge and this always made me a grateful consumer, who recommended your products to a multitude of students and fellow gamers.
Now I have a chronic problem with this, the PU leather pads in a few months rot with sweat and I spend a lot of money on it even though my headset is working perfectly. You don't need to register the 2019 edition. If you ever need support for your headset just make sure to keep your proof of purchase (receipt). The Arctis 3 doesn't have SteelSeries Engine support so if you're looking to enable surround sound that's done by using Windows Sonic. Alternatively, you can download SteelSeries GG and opt into the Sonar beta which is SteelSeries' newest EQ software that can work with any headset so it gives you a lot more control and customization over the sound and also has its own baked in surround sound feature that's better than Windows Sonic

I just bought the artis 7+ about an hr ago. This is my first steelseries headset

I downloded the GG software. Created an account and connected the USB-C dongle into my PC in which my PC recongized it was the arctis. Everything was great. I then got a small notification under "ENGINE' Tab. That read "CRITICAL UPDATE: Click to install new firmware" This is where I began having trouble. I then clicked update firmware and it literally just does not click the button. I click cancel, and that clicks. Any reason why update firmware button is not responsive? would appreciate feedback, God bless

I have tried, reinstalling the engine. I have tried restarting my PC. I have tried unplugging and plugging the USB-C Dongle. My specs on my PC are new. x-570E gaming wifi asus motherboard. 850w power corsair. 3060 GPU. Ryzen 7 3700x. I would not come to the conclusion that the PC is a problem.

i just got the steelseries 9 and i have many problems, for a start my headphones keeps on playing the audio that the mic is picking up, i can hear every little detail including audio coming from the living room. is there any way that i can fix this. I have already gone into configuration and turned down sidetone, i have also double checked to make sure that in sound control settings i do not have "listen to device" on. This entire thing has been very stressful to set up and now that i can continuously hear myself has made this experience 10 times worse. If you're looking for surround I think you might mean DTS, anyways, should be the same process. Right click sound icon in taskbar, go to Spatial Sound, select whatever option you want from the ones available for your device.

Depending on your device there will also be options for this in Engine

if you don't use any other SS peripherals that were released in the last year or two, you should be able to use a legacy version of SteelSeries Engine 3. There is one version on the SS website if you scroll waaaay down on the GG download page, or there is a Reddit thread with instructions for how to download any version of Engine manually.

can't remember if they're braided but there are some good 3rd party 8-pin to 3.5mm cables on Amazon that have higher quality connectors. I don't think anyone except for SS make 8-pin to 8-pin cables tho. Personally what I do when I need/want a rare type of cable braided is get a spare and add my own paracord or shoelace sheath to it.

No, the 3.5mm jack on the headset is audio only, not mic. You'll have to use the 8 pin micro usb connector to 4-pole 3.5mm or 8 pin to 8 pin with 4 pole 3.5mm adapter if you want to plug the headset into an analog jack and be able to use the mic

first reason is if you have it set to a different color or have some sort of effect on it, like I changed mine to be teal when unmuted etc. second reason is if it's unmuted. if you didn't push the button I'd say there's a possibility of a loose contact, if you use software mute and not the hardware mute then probably a software issue.

I'm currently experiencing and was hoping some could provide some insight onto my predicament. It is not a technical issue but rather regarding to the warranty of my Arctis Pro headset. I have created a support ticket and have managed to reach the RMA process of replacing said headset. However, after requiring a video of the product I'm unable to reach / or have not been replied to since the 8th at 06:34 AEST time. I have been considering creating another support-ticket but have considered it to be unnecessary.

yup, its broken. There used to be a modified drivers and loading them unsigned into Windows 10 that worked a few months ago or something but it is broken again apparently. Every windows update breaks it and it had to be redone but I think it is permanently broken now.

That is my understanding that it is an unsupported product now. Updated drivers have not been put out in many years. Most people had been utilizing modified drivers and loading them unsigned into Windows 10 and then redoing it with every Windows update but now I think they are officially broken. At least I have not found a solution yet.

@dense walrus @glass stag My research so far has turned up that the much older "Merc" keyboards will work even on Windows 10/11 but that the "Zmerc" and "Merc Stealth" did not without the driver shennigans. I've tested third party apps like Microsoft Power Toys which rebinds the keys well but then prevents you from pressing more than 1 key at the same time. Sharpkeys straight up fails to ID the butterfly keys. There is a "support" group on facebook called "Merc Stealthposting" where a few members offer services like 3D printing replacement keys and such. I have found nothing yet to fix the issue with the drivers tho. I can confirm that Windows 7 does still recognize the keyboard and app to rebind keys.

it doesn't work anymore. Its just turning off the signed driver install prevention thingy. You temporarily turn it off to load up your modified old drivers for the Merc keyboard. Windows 10 has a shit list of "unsafe" old drivers which includes the old drivers for the Merc. So you work around it by basically just renaming the drivers as something else and then turning off the unsigned driver loading prevention thingy just long enough to load up your name changed drivers. Then you just go back and turn the unsigned drivers prevention back on. It used to to work and you would have to redo it with every windows update but now it just straight up doesnt work anymore.

PSA for anyone using the Arctis Pro + GameDAC and is having GameDAC Game vanish every now and then: The SteelSeries x DTS Surround Sound APO that SSE/GG pushes you to download is the culprit behind this. I don't know how I uninstalled it, but when I did have it uninstalled, GameDAC Game stopped vanishing on every awakening of my computer.

Sorry if this question doesnt belong here. After I updated the firmware on my Arcits Pro Wireless, I now only have one audio device (non-Sonar) called Speakers (Arctis Pro Wireless). Previously, I had two devices, Game and Chat. Does anyone know how to get these back? Sonar does not fix the problem as it will still only route audio to the one device and chat mix on the DAC no longer functions.

Rival 3 wireless seems to chew through batteries. I play for a few hours a night and I get less than 1 week on a battery. During the day I use it a bit. But even if I say 4hrs a night (generous) x 6 days (also generous) that's only 24hours. Then another 2hrs per day at a lower polling and whatnot. So 36hours. Maybe. With how aggressively the mouse turns itself off this seems a little crazy.

to clarify that's 1 week on 1 battery. On two batteries it was about double the time.

not sure my point just maybe is this normal? And is is it in line with other wireless gaming mice? My old basic logitech would last forever on 1 AA battery.

i'm not sure what you mean but the apex pro comes in multiple layouts so you can have the US style small one or the UK/European style big one

Engine controls the EQ on the hardware on the headset, which means you can carry over the EQ to other devices like consoles. Sonar has more fine tuned EQ but it only works through the software on PC. If you're using Sonar then you should just have a flat EQ in Engine so the two don't compete

"Default" is set to 2000 CPI, and polling rate is 250. For gaming it's 2000 CPI and 1,000 polling. I remember turning on "Hight-Efficiently" Mode, for Default, but I kind of enjoyed having that little bit of color lighting up and that mode disables it. With LED's being so efficient these days i did not think it would do to much. Also, there was another reason I switched off High-Efficiency. Something else was acting weird. I don't remember what off hand.

yeah that's probably why you're burning through the batteries. the high efficency mode wants 125hz so if you're putting it into 250 then that's double the information being sent by the mouse, so it can equate to half battery life

ah, that's what it was on "High-efficiency" mode when the mouse switches profiles sometimes it seems to get lost and looses the connection, then I have to unplug unplug the dongle or power the mouse off and on to get it to work again.

Arctis Prime doesn't have Engine support so all the software adjustments will be made through Windows and/or any third-party EQ you install. Also the headset will probably show up as Realtek HD Audio Device in Windows since it's plugging into the 3.5mm jack on the PC

Alternatively if you don't want to use third party software you can still download SteelSeries GG and create custom EQs and audio balance via the Sonar beta software that they're developing which works with any headset regardless if it's compatible with the standard SteelSeries Engine or not

If you're doing it through Sonar it's pretty straight forward, there's also various presets for games already included with it. You can also get access to the Sonar specific channels here in the Discord by following the invite link in Sonar once you install it so you can talk to other people using Sonar and look through the shared configs channels to borrow other people's EQs or share your own.

As for other programs, well that will vary depending on the software and how much tweaking you want to do.

Hi Guys, just got my Arctis 7P+ this Monday, have played for 1.5 hours without any issues. On Tuesday I have updated the headset with GG software. And after that my headset is not connecting to the transmitter anymore(USB C 2.4ghz). In the GG software environment I don't have the option to pair the headset and also see that "Reconnect Headset" is in the headset button. You won't be able to find replacement Omnipoints. Best solution is to create a support ticket and if your board is still within the warranty period, request an RMA. If you can't get a replacement board then you could try desoldering the broken switch from the board and getting a replacement MX Red switch to solder back on in place of the Omnipoint, but that takes a lot of time, skill, and patience. Especially if you don't already have a soldering iron accessible to you

(FIX) I found out about the problem.
It was because i had ProtonVPN downloaded and somewhat then my bass enchanter would not work.
After i uninstalled my VPN it worked. so it was nothing wrong with steelseries software. but would be nice if steelseries gg worked still while having VPN on computer.
I found the fix on reddit about a guy said that vpn can mess with your steelseries gg not saving and not working. So after uninstalling vpn software it worked for me😊

Everything works perfect. However; the colors seem to shift back to its rainbow pattern while I simply want to have a static color. but the issue is I bought this mouse used (complete packaging except for the batteries) and I have the receipt from the first owner of this mouse

If you bought it from a third party store, they usually prefer you doing the warranty through that store. If that isn't possible though then SteelSeries can help you out.

If you use SteelSeries support for the warranty claim, make sure you don't say that you bought the mouse second hand otherwise that will invalidate the warranty since it's supposed to be non-transferable (meaning it only applies to the person who originally bought the product). However, if you have the proof of purchase and just don't tell them that you bought the mouse second hand then chances are there won't be an issue

If you do the warranty claim through SteelSeries, you would get a code to use on the exact same product you're replacing, so the Rival 3 Wireless, and inputting that code during checkout will make it completely free. If the person that bought it previously bought it through a physical store then it just depends on what that store's replacement policy is

There is no "true" 7.1 surround with headphones. All implementations are virtual. Headphones don't have 7 individual speakers in them

Go into Engine and enable the DTS Headphone X 2.0 7.1 surround, set it the surround profile to Game and the Stereo profile to Default. Set the sound output settings in Tarkov to default so that the game isn't trying to do any extra audio processing that would interfere with the DTS processing

Hello I have a problem with my 650 rival wireless mouse

I was playing PUBG when my mouse suddenly started bleeping red non stop and i hoped on the engine and said critical update click to install new firmware. I've done that, the bleeping stopped then started again. After closing the app, resintalling it and trying it on my laptop still no results, the firmware update still needs to be done and my mouse doesnt work properly, the DPI is different and I can't access its settings

Hey all has anyone had an issue with an Arctis 9x connecting to Windows 10 as "music" only and no "voice"? I've tried 10 bazillion things and can't get a fix.... but it does work just fine on my Mac and iphone

Installing Engine just gave me these Virtual Audio Device listing under "Sound Devices" which don't do anything if I set them as my output/input devices

...they also all stay there regardless of the headset being paried or disconnected.

Firmware current, OS current, Turned everything off/on again, uninstalled engine and paired without any of the virutal machine etc etc

Just picked up my pair of the Arctis 7+ today. Feels like wearing a pillow and tested it on all my devices (pc, ps5,ps4,switch,android). Super easy to use at the base level.

My only confusion is when on pc, there seems to be 2 different input sound settings (arctis 7+ and the sonar virtual). Not sure what exactly the difference is other than the virtual one sounds more like its name lol. Trying to figure out what the best configurations when playing games like God of War (pc)

From my experience of tryiung to get this thing to work the virtual is a driver that Engine installs and if you set your input to that you wont get anything

Same with the output, installing Engine put 2 virtual machine devices in my output selector and if I choose one I don't hear any sound

I have two monitors for my PC setup and I'm using my side monitor for ps5 and main ultrawide for pc

@unique wagon oh, well what I did was used my spare mouse to install it, then turned on my mouse and I was able to see the cursor and the mouse glow.

A shame, was kinda hoping you were using a TV with optical out

You'd be able to use USB on the PC and optical from the PS5
