I have not experienced this issue although I have seen similar complaints about other headsets having unbalanced audio. If it is only the bass I would be inclined to think that's more of an issue with the audio output or your ears rather than the headset, there's only the one driver so if one side was quieter everything on that side should be quieter. But I could be wrong. If it bothers you the best solution is to get in contact with the official support thru #official-support

Is there a way to make a "clean" install of Steeseries GG? I mean besides just uninstalling it first? Couldn't it be a software issue?

It could be software but I doubt it, best way to tell is to use it on another device or with the 3.5mm jack

For a clean install of GG you would need to uninstall, then go through and find/delete any related files in Users>App Data, and Program Data, both are hidden files

Anyone using the Arctis Pro Wireless on ps5? Looking for some advice on EQ settings and just overall setup to make the headset perform at its best. I'm having a really hard time pinpointing sound positions on games like Rainbow Six Siege with this headset. I have tried a few different custom EQ sets as well as the preset EQ settings. I've tried 3d audio both on and off. I recently updated the firmware and its better, but no where near as good as it should be for the price. I feel like the lack of optical port on the ps5 really degrades the headset.

My Apex 7 just randomly lit up like this, before I had my own rgb set up but it broke, I did spill some liquid on it but it worked just fine after I cleaned it all up and that was an hour ago. It’s not the biggest problem because the keys still work but does anyone know a solution. I've also been searching on the internet and found out that it should be able to take some water but not a lot, and this was not a lot of water, this was also the first time it got water on it.

I did spray it with a compressed gas duster to get rid of the liquid, could it be that?

I'm no longer able to use the chat mixing feature on my headset since when the chat audio driver is used by an application it mutes everything except for the applications using that audio driver like discord. I end up only being able to hear discord audio because it uses the chat driver, and things like Spotify, chrome or any game don't put out sound since those use the game driver. As soon change the audio output from chat to the game driver on any application I'm able to hear all the sound outputs running.

I've gone to steelseries support but I'm waiting on a reply atm, I have a wired aerox 3 that suddenly stopped working on my desktop, lights wont come on and no input goes through. The mouse works fine on my laptop however. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on how to resolve this?

On my arctis pro wireless, my chat audio, not the game audio, is somehow being auto controlled. For example, on discord, if I am in a call with my friends and we p;ay music from a discord bot, I can hear the music but it slowly diminsihes in volume until it's technically mute. However, the bot is still playing music and everyone can hear it. And the wierd part is that I can hear the bot's music again once someone else in the call starts talking again. This problem is the same for watching streams. I can hear the audio and then it like auto decreases volume to a point where it's mute unless someone in that call talks which then unmutes the sound again.

Surround can do that sometimes, yeah. I've found with mine I get the best experience in High-res Stereo after playing with the EQ a bit, I don't use any of the other enhancements

Sure one sec, also real quick right click on your sound icon in the taskbar, you'll have several options for surround, and you might want to play around with enabling these if they aren't already to see if that helps anything

Nah to me it looks like a short circuit or something similar. I don't think there's hidden error codes in the LEDs if that's what you're asking, lol. As far as a fix for that if they don't magically start working again, the best I can tell you is to try a #official-support ticket and hope the warranty covers it

As of today my Steelseries Arctis 7 Microphone doesn't work anymore.
I have tried
-Factory Reset
-Changing the Hz
-Reinstalling the Drivers
-Fully charging it
-Muting/unmuting repeatedly
-Setting it as the primary default Mic
-Slotting the transmitter into different USB ports
-Allowing Access to the Mic in Windows settings

The Headphones work fine, the Mic is recognized by my computer, but it doesn't record any sound. The green bar, that visualizes sound doesn't move, except sometimes, after I unmute, it briefly jumps up.

Essentially, I need to know whether someone trashed it with software, or the Mic simply wore out by retracting/extending over time, and I need to replace it.

Hello, Can anyone help me. I've looked everywhere online to try and find answers and the support from the website was not much help. I have a Artic 7p Headset. It works fine when I connect it to my PS5 but how im using my PC mainly, I tried to connect it but I am having issues getting the USB C to be recognised. It keeps coming up with 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I have done all of the troubleshooting options online but nothing seems to of helped. If anyone has a fix I would be greatly appreciative as its expensive headset and I would prefer not to get another one.

Try binding a non-working key to something like the A key, just to see if it's reading anything. If that doesn't work, and there's no MCU updates available in GG, then you might have a defective unit.

Hello, another question about my steelseries rival 3 wireless. I don't think it will but is there any chance I can set the mouse to change CPI only while a key is pressed and held? For example in GTA I weapon switch by holding TAB and moving to the weapon I want. However, the mouse seems to jump around to much during that. alright cool. first, make sure that the dongle is detected by the PC. Best way to do this is to download SteelSeries GG and open it up, if you haven't already. Check to make sure there are no updates.
You will also want to make sure that the headset is on and in the correct mode (ie, not trying to connect to Bluetooth)

once the headset and dongle are properly connected it should show up in GG and have some configuration options to play with. you shouldn't need to touch anything here

If your headset is fully connected and your issue is no sound, make sure your PC and whatever program you are using is set to the correct audio output device

As the name suggests, Noise Reduction is just for reducing while as the Noise Suppression, But don't expect it to sound 'clearer' and to be less muffled that's why I have my suppression is turned off and Noise Reduction turned on.

yo. So, I'm guessing your problem is that your laptop has a combo jack, but your new PC does not. On the back there should be multiple audio ports, at least one for mic and one for headphones. Try using the splitter cable (should have been included with the headset) in these ports.

An average gamer makes 1,000 to 5,000 clicks a day, if you're in the middle to upper range of this spectrum and do this on a daily basis you're looking at 1.8 to 3.6 million clicks over the course of 2 years. For comparative purposes, high-quality Omron switches are rated for up to 20 million clicks (in ideal conditions), which means in 2 years you've used a significant fraction of the switch's life span, on top of whatever other abuse.

Cleaning can help, use high concentration (I go for 90%) isopropyl alcohol (also called IPA or isopropanol), soak a q-tip in this and depress the switch with the q-tip to work the alcohol in. Click repeatedly and repeat until better. You can open the switches but I don't recommend it due to the tiny parts involved, I've done it before and nearly lost pieces, not to mention it was a pain to reassemble.

The Rival 310 has Omron 50 million click switches, the closest part number I can find is D2FC-F-K(50M). Honestly if I was replacing the switch anyway I would do some research and find out what switches work best (because there are a lot of options), since all microswitches share pretty much the same form factor and pin layout. If you want to just get the closest available thing to the originals, you can get 2 packs meant for Razer mice for about 10 bucks, or here's a 5 pack of clones on Amazon: https:// www.amazon.com/Micro-Switch-Microswitch-Switches-D2FC-F-K/dp/B07KJHK3HQ?th=1 (remove space)

They're not that hard to replace if you know what you're doing with a soldering iron and you don't care about keeping the old one intact (they can be a little hard to remove). Just be careful around the other electronics on the mainboard and you'll be fine.

Nah the base station bit for the headphones. GoXLR works perfect. Headphones work great when they are plugged in via 3.5mm so must be the base unit part. Amazon returns here we come 😂

hello . im quite new with these steelseries stuff . i just recently bought an arctis 5 head set , and just installed the engine. trying to set it up . can someone tell me whats " LIVE PREVIEW ON " is . if im correct its where u can here it live while ur setting it up bit i dont hear any diffrent while im setting it up and the live preview is on . i can even put the DTS HEADPHONE:X V2 off but it still not doing anything . so im i missing something . note that i just recently updated it ..

hey, my entire Steelseries GG just doesn't work? Whenever I change the colour of my Apex 7 or Rival 500, it doesn't actually change on the keyboard? No matter what, it's stuck on this nasty cyan with reactive lighting stuck on, no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it, I've done:

  • Restarted the PC
  • Reset the Keyboard and mouse
  • Checked for updates on Steelseries GG

What else can I do?

you save, overwrite, or revert your settings and then don't change them. if it's forgetting its presets or somehow changing on its own then that's either a bug in GG or an issue with the mouse's onboard memory. You can also set GG not to run at boot, if all your settings are saved to the mouse you don't need GG running unless you use Moments or one of the Engine apps. Not sure but I think Macros are also saved in the mouse's onboard memory if you use those, but there's a chance GG needs to be running for these.

The mute button on the headset is a full hardware mute, meaning it mutes the mic for everything on the PC. If you want to mute just Discord you'll need to set up a mute hotkey in the Discord settings

Hello! I have an issue with my Arctis 5 7.1 Surround Sound Headset. The surround sound doesn't seem to want to fully work. Can't here voices during cutscenes in Halo Infinite for example and also voices sound very very far away in DEATHLOOP. This seems to have happened after I upgraded to Windows 11 but not 100% sure. This issues even happens when I turn off the surround sound feature to, but the issues is actually fixed when I uninstall the drivers but no more surround sound. Anyone else have a similar issue?

then that would be an issue with you're computer's USB power delivery system, not the mouse. If you mean "not connected to power" as in sleeping then your computer just has selective suspend disabled. If you have it plugged into a powered hub then the hub is the issue. If it's a laptop then you're never really disconnected from power unless the battery is dead, and again, selective suspend is probably disabled (although it should turn off when the computer shuts down regardless)
