Hello, I purchased a apex pro a week ago and today for some reason. The tab, q, w, e, r, t, y, u, I, o, p, etc on that line stopped working. I tried a factory reset on the oled and a factory reset by holding the media and scroll botton on the keyboard. Unplugging and plugging it back in. Updating the firmware and still they don't work

Go into software and maybe deactivate all those keys and press them a few times and then activate them again. Thats what i would try at least haha

I've done a firmware reset by holding the multimedia button down and the other button, but that hasn't resolved the issue. Did you do something different to return it to factory settings? @gentle tundra

It can sometimes take awhile for deliveries straight from the warehouse so I would wait a little longer but nothing changes by like Tuesday or Wednesday then you can make a support ticket and request an update on your order

zealous rock Hey All. I have an issue with my SteelSeries Arctis 9X. They are stuck on a soli...

I think it's a firmware issue.. the headset appears to be dead unfortunately. The Blue light stays on solid when connected by USB, When i hold the power button it just goes off. If i disconnect the headset from USB and hold the power button the blue light illuminates and stays on while im holding the power button but goes off as soon as i let go. If i press the reset button in the ear cup nothing happens at all. I think it's game over on this one.

As a last resort i have opened the earcup and disconnected the battery to see if it cleared any issues while the headset was booting but it just immediately went back to presenting the blue light. It appears to be much like the "Blue Screen of death" for Windows, however, this is the "Blue Light of Death" for my Arctis 9X headset 😫.

If anyone else has had this issue and managed to resolve it then please let me know. 🙂

Technical question about the GameDAC. I can't seem to find which audio formats are supported or how many channels we're working with. The website references the ESS Sabre DAC, but not which specific model is used. Am I missing information somewhere? I'm trying to determine what formats I need to let programs handle and what I can passthrough to the DAC for rendering.

Steelseries button can be used to enable/disable the Windows key and was designed specifically for this function.

Press and hold the SteelSeries logo key then tap the Windows key to disable/enable it.

Also, I, unfortunately, do not have access to Apex 350 manual 😞 But if you have any other questions, feel free to ask and I will try my best to provide an answer

Anyone else's Apex 5 have lights that just die? I have no blue LED on my windows key, and my entire Esc-Pause, Num+ and NumEnter, LCtrl-LAlt, and RCtrl all show as orange when I set the whole board to be 0,255,0

That sounds like you just got really unlucky and got 2 boards out of the same bad batch. Leads dying isn't an uncommon issue with any brand, but it usually happens within the first month or after years of using the keyboard daily (or spills, drops, etc.)

@rugged bridge moving here so it doesn't keep cluttering #💬-general. I guess you've probably already tried just unplugging the headset from the computer while GG is still running and plugging it back in. If that doesn't work then try this

Go into device manager and uninstall any drivers related to the headset and microphone, unplug the USB from your computer, close out of GG via task manger, then shut down the PC, wait 30 seconds, plug the USB back into your computer and turn the PC back on. Windows will reinstall the necessary basic audio drivers for it then re-open GG and check to see if it still gives the reconnect error

I have been experiencing this ever since I first got my "Rival 3 Wireless" mouse.

It has been lagging SO bad, even to the point where I have to unplug the connecter to my PC, and change the batteries, and turn it off and back on.
I have tried to find help about this, and NOBODY has responded.
I am even thinking of switching to a different mouse. I spent 50$ on a mouse that doesn't even work. I am at my breaking point now.
Whenever I change the batteries, a NEW PROBLEM comes up immediately.
Please, somebody help me, or I will be switching brands.

alright idk when ill get a response but heres whats happened....

i get home from work
turn on headset like usual
(arctis pro wireless)
headset not connecting for some odd reason
critical update was released
does critical update
tries to re-pair
pairing continously fails
does critical update again because for some reason it appears again even though it says update was successfully completed
transmitter freezes after retrying pairing
continues to do critical update hoping it'll work
nothing works
(by this point ive done the critical update and pairing more than 50 TIMES)
still cant use my headset.... great....nice waste of $350

update: so my headset was able to "pair" by me connecting to my ps5 doing the pairing thing even though it still said pairing failed... but NOTHING on the transmitter actually works correctly... not even the volume knob... the software settings i had before arent even actually applied and it still says on the software that it needs to be reconnected even though it is "connected"

They have to confirm you reset the product correctly using the manufacturer's directions. When I had an issue with one corner of my QcK Prism mouse mat being really dim I created a support ticket and they told me to reinstall the software and drivers for the product. I already tried reinstalling the software and that didn't fix it and I checked to make sure there were no drivers for the mousepad RGB, which there weren't. I responded to the ticket with the steps I had already tried in detail and they moved on to the RMA phase

hey, i just got my arctis 5 headset today and it’s suuuuuuper loose on the earcups (especially the bottom of the cups). basically all the pressure is on the top of my head from the ski-band, like the headset is just dangling off the top of my head.

I’ve tried adjusting the velcro straps but since my head is pretty tiny even at max tightness I’m not getting good results.

is there something i can do about this or do i return the headset and buy some other one that works better with small heads?

Hi, I have a SteelSeries Arctic 7 (wireless) and started trying out streaming recently. However, the audience gave feedback that the mic was soft and the desktop audio is too long. I tried adjusting but it didn't have much effect. I am using Streamlabs. May I know what adjustments I may make for a better audio experience for viewers? Personally, the game volume is low in the Arctis 7 as well. Thank you 🙂

Add a gain filter to the mic via streamlabs. Talk like you would on a livestream and monitor the audio levels. Typically you want the mic to be hitting the upper yellow portion of the indicator (-15db to -10db) and keep the game volume in the green (-30db to -25db)

Arctis mics are a bit quiet in general, even the wired ones like the Arctis 5 so they definitely benefit from a gain boost

Np. You may want to add a compressor filter as well after you boost the gain because just the extra gain may result in you peaking the mic too much. A compressor filter basically just evens out the audio and tries to keep everything at a balanced level to avoid peaks

Are you sure you have everything connected correctly? Check and make sure the mic-in is the default recording device in Windows and that Windows hasn't muted the mic or you don't have the mic muted with the button on the headset

Reinstall GG with the latest install file from the website then do the scan. If that doesn't work then make a report in #moments-report-a-bug because I don't know of a way to manually force it to search certain drives other than individually adding games yourself

Okay, so I just bought the Arctis pro, without DAC, my motherboard is the b350-f and has an audio card that supports High Fidelity audio. But I have an issue.

That SupremeFX chip on the board uses sonic studio 3 to give you EQ settings. The pc automatically chooses the DTS:X setting ,which is what I want, but when changing the EQ settings in Steelseries GG, nothing audibly changes.

What do I do?

Ow the fun part, it worked before. But then suddenly it stopped while i was just watching some netflix 😛 And then i got the same message from windows "The latest USB-device that u connected to this computer caused an error. Windows doesn't recognized the device anymore. Tip: Try to re-connect the device. Is the volume wheel on the headset turned up? The Chat Mix dial positioned in the middle? Check the sound control panel and make sure the volume is up in the headset properties and that there's no audio effects being applied

Have you tried different USB ports? What about with the 3.5mm adapter? If the audio is fine through that or if you have another PC or laptop to test the USB with it's possible there's a bad cable in the chatmix or something. If it is a defect then you should contact #official-support and request an RMA

Put something flat and heavy like some textbooks on either end and stretch it out in the middle so it's laying flat and leave it like that at least overnight but it's best to keep it like that for a whole day

hi, ive been using the arctis 9 and the Bluetooth connectivity was good.
furthermore the headset Bluetooth decided not to show up on my phone after turning it on. i have reset the headset to try and fix this, disconnected my phone from my headset and still no change. any suggestions?

Hey I cleaned my house, and when I reconnected the headphones, I had to re-adjust some parameters, but today (second day after cleaning), the headphones warned me via a sound signal that '' it turns on, but the bluetooth receiver freezes (it stays on), and no sound is available, worse than that: all media requiring sound (discord, youtube, twitch) load but freeze from the first seconds . I put my old helmet back on and everything instantly started working again.

Would you have a solution to resolve this quickly, please?

If the 7 has a USB passthrough port on the keyboard then yes you can. I use the USB on my Apex Pro TKL all the time for my controller dongle

Previously when I first purchase my steel series they started just neeed to be power cycled mid game they would still be on and connect just I would lose all sound until holding the power button then again to turn it on… as one could imagine this was very frustrating so I just bought the Astro which is what was wanting in the first place they have been wonderful. In my opinion sound way better. However I can’t use optical out now and this had brought me to pulling the steel series out of the drawer and seeing what I can do with them. Every video has diff setting and things then mine and i just would like a little help. Lol anything would be great sorry if I didn’t use the proper terms. Peace and love peace and love

Hello, I'm pretty sure this is a defect because it literally doesnt make sense. My arctis pro wireless headset keeps defeaning (aka, lowers volume to a point where i cant hear anything), but my mic still works but no volume. It doesnt actually lower the computer volume tho, its just the headset. And the like after i start talking agai, the volume returns to normal

There's probably an option in settings that tells it to lower the headset volume when you talk into the mic. You should be able to turn that off

Open GG, go to the engine tab, click on the headset, look around in the settings. I don't know for sure if that's a feature since I don't have an APW

discord has the ability to do this, check your discord voice settings, may have been turned on there. Called Attenuation. I think you can enable it in certain windows settings too (or disable it)

you can also use wipes with any cleaning agent... it dissolves the dirt and if you take your time it actually makes it look new without getting it too wet

Hi, just got the Apex Pro keyboard, loving it as well as the OLED screen. One issue I'm finding is with the System Monitor App (which is fantastic btw). Everytime I restart my computer, I'm getting a notification to let it run; it's quiet annoying, and I was wondering if anyone knows a work around or how to make it so it doesn't keep asking me everytime I start my computer. Thank you.

Try closing Sonar in the Task Manager. Then delete SteelSeriesGG and its folders by paths:

Hello there. The Rival 300s model mouse started to not appear in the SteelSeries GG application and all my settings were gone. At first I was getting the "not connected" error in the Engine section, but now it does not appear at all. I could never fix it. I also applied the recommendations on the website, but could not reach a conclusion. It is detected immediately on other computers in the house, but does not appear here at all. What should I do?

GG10 : as soon as i open macros config in Engine, i have an error message that Engine had a critical error, but it works fine anyway.
Otherwise, Engine Frontpage doesn't have Engine-only software anymore, there is only GG10 again.
We need to have Engine alone, please.

Hello i have had this problem since day one, i have a msi leopard pro pc, with steelseries keyboard built in, when i download gg and steelseries engine it dosent find my built in keyboard why tho? the colour is white on my keyboard so i know the leds work but it cant find the keyboard. pls help me, i tried uppdating the keyboard drivers, i got the latest drivers, i have removed and installed the keyboard drivers it didnt fix anything the pc model: MSI GF62VR 7RF (7700HQ, GTX 1060, FHD 60 Hz)

Switches are soldered to the pcb. If you desolder them with a soldering iron and pump you can remove the switches.

Hey guy. Probably some of you own the Arctis Pro Wireless. It just came in the mail and got it almost set up. I run in to an issue tho. Im trying to connect some speakers via 3.0mm jack for if my headset is turned off. How ever when I turn off my headset no sound is passing through to my speakers. Aux in on my speakers are tested and do work.

Alright so if I use the "line in" on the Wireless transmitter, it doesn't send it to the "line out" when my headset is powered off. The support response was "This is intentional". Wonder why this would be intentional tho? Would be a very nice feature as my headset audio comes from a populair Helicon GoXLR mixer that only has the jack line out as a listen back option. 🤔

a couple weeks ago it did work when i reconnect the headset with the reset option and the pairing mode but now it wont work .. kinda strange bug.
and dont run a VPN it will help you crash the transmitter also lol ..

The version of Open Hardware Monitor that the SteelSeries system monitor app uses is older and doesn't support AMD RX 5000 GPUs. You may be able to get it to work though by replacing the .dll file by downloading this zip, extracting OpenHardwareMonitorLib.dll and replacing the older .dll that's in the SteelSeries apps folder by going to C:\ProgramData\SteelSeries\GG\engineApps\system-stats

The zip will be in your downloads folder. Don't install the .exe that's in the zip, just copy the OpenHardwareMonitorLib.dll file that's in their into C:\ProgramData\SteelSeries\GG\engineApps\system-stats and click "replace file" when prompted

After that, restart GG if you replaced the file while the software was open and try it out

hi, I have a problem with my arctis pro headset. it will still play the sounds from the transmitter or any other device but won't play my PC's sound anymore. other devices play my PC's sound. I also noticed that spotify refuses playing songs at all when my sound is set to play through the headset (spotify notification: "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it.")
the software is up-to-date, the headset less than a year old. I genuinely don't know what to do anymore.

the APW does have white noise, it's just how it is. It's because the drivers are hi-res so they tend to make noise when wireless. you can mitigate a bit by turning on the volume limiter, making sure chatmix is setup correctly, turning up the volume on your PC to 100 and only using the volume wheel on the headset, and turning off sidetone so you don't hear background noise from the room

There's always going to be white noise on wireless headsets, that's just the way they are no matter the brand. Best practice for alleviating it though that I've found (and I do this will my USB wired headsets too) is set the Windows system volume to 100 and then use the on-headset volume wheel to make fine adjustments

If I have my Arctis 9 on with nothing playing I can kinda hear some white noise, but if I have my headset on I'm usually listening to something so it isn't really an issue for me lol

Like Doss suggested though make sure your drivers are up to date and check the Engine for any critical updates. You could also try a factory reset of the headset and the transmitter box. It's possible there's another wireless signal giving higher than normal interference that a reset might alleviate. Otherwise the setup that I use works best from what I've found and the white noise is nonexistent when there's audio playing in my 9s
