Anyone able to help with a really annoying intermittent issue with the Steelseries APEX 350 keyboard?
Every so often when I switch on the PC in the morning the Steelseries software reports that the keyboard is offline. When I check in Device Manager it's connected as a Human Interface Device (HID) reporting as SteelSeries APEX 350 using the manufacturer driver.
Closing the Steelseries software and re-opening does not seem to help, however if I right-click > uninstall the driver and let it get re-detected and installed again, THEN if I close and re-open the software, it gets picked up correctly.
I did raise a ticket about it but they just kept giving me the usual "have you checked your chipset drivers" and I gave up after a while.
The annoying thing is, it happens so intermittently and when it's not connected, my macro buttons to launch software don't work.
It seems to be a fairly well known issue as various people seem to be having the same issue when searching, but nobody has seemed to find a definitive fix for it.
Has anyone in here run into it and resolved it?
