Hello, I have strange problem, My headphones is arctis pro wireless, when I use discord with echo cancellation together It's cuts off my voice. For this I installed steel series engine 3 and update my headphone firmware, then configured for "certified enabled" on discord. After that I see discord still cuts off my voice and I can't close echo cancellation because It's managed by certified device. When I use this headphones without steel series engine 3 and echo cancellation is off, It's slightly produce echo in background what sometimes is annoying. I understand echo cancellation cuts this voice and I want leave it on. But I still can't found why It's echoing. My computer has new windows installation what I setup yesterday. All configurations looks default etc. When I use microphone with "listen to this device" feature on windows, there is no echo and cut off as expected. I saw some posts on reddit what says discord experimental features causes similar problem. Then I close all experimental features, developer mode etc. and still same. Have anyone who faced similar problem?

Nope, my last configuration is default discord settings (without developer, experimental features etc) and installed steel series engine 3 with latest update. Also windows updated as well.

All drivers etc are updated.

Currently I use my headphones from windows default device (selected arctis pro) then I can off the echo cancellation on discord. And with this configuration I can hear my echo like %3-%5 volume level and 100ms latency.

New info, with steel series engine 3 live mic preview I still can hear echo.

so the preview will give you the best audio without any aggregate settings, and the windows update may have caused a problem with the audio settings and caused a bug or whatnot with the microphone

I opened a ticket to RMA my QcK XL on March 9, got my code on March 31. (would have been sooner but I was away for a week so they put my ticket on hold till I got back and could do the warranty process). Placed the order on April 1 and it shipped April 21 with my delivery date being April 27.

The newest version of GG should have fixed the Minecraft issue, but if you're still experiencing it then In GG go to settings:

Game Detection
Add Game
Navigate to where your Minecraft install is
Double click on the Launcher and it'll add it to Moment's list of games

IIRC the apex 5 has removable keycaps, so maybe if you're gentle you can pull the keycap off and check if there's anything physically wrong with the switch

i'm guessing it's still an RMA problem like Melker suggested, and the W key switch is stuck "on", so if you set other keys to W, the stuck on W key is overriding any input

So not really sure what to do at this point. I submitted a ticket yesterday with no response yet so I can't go off of that. But I've tried to do the steps provided by steelseries with no luck.

My artics pro wireless after a firmware update unpaired from the transmitter as required by the update, now after the update I am unable to repair my headset to the transmitter. I am holding down the volume click wheel for 6 seconds as the screen says and yet it does not pair. I have tried on and off for over 2 hours at this point including yesterday. I tried unplugging the transmitter and just using DC power while pairing, using several old firmwares to repair, clicking the volume wheel then holding it down, nothing seems to work.

If anyone has a solution I would very much appreciate it.

I recently bought a Arctis 7 and used the Steelseries Engine Software with it. Suddenly I had a whole slew of problems on my hands. My headset was working fine, but when I opened and used Steelseries Engine the whole headset would stop working and space out. I tried deleting Steelseries Engine, and all of the problems were suddenly gone. How is this possible? The software literally breaks my headset whenever I use it. How?

@limpid flower you should be able to just pull off the keycaps, I'd recommend buying a keycap puller to get the harder to pull keys and to make sure nothing breaks.

Most pullers just grab the sides of your keycaps and pull it up so they wouldn't scratch your keys. @limpid flower

and I personally have never broken my keys while pulling so i would guess the stem on the keycap itself that connects it to the key switch is most likely to break.

Ok guys, I don't know what else to do.. I've reached out to Steelseries CS multiple times about this and have received only one unhelpful response since April 13th. Long story short when i received my Arctis 9 headset in the mail i tried it on every system i had, PS5, PC, and Mobile using Bluetooth. The headset works great other than the included Microphone. None of my devices seem to register the mic. I have muted and unmuted to make sure and still nothing. I received a response from Drew at Steelseries stating " The microphone is highly directional, so it must be placed properly to achieve the best sound quality and maximize the noise cancellation. Ive further explained that I know how to use a headset but never got a response back... That was on the 14th... Any advice?

the apex 3 and apex 5 don't have full rollover, meaning that you can't press multiple keys at once. it's just how the keyboard is designed and the only way to fix it is to buy a keyboard will zero key rollover like the apex 7 or apex pro

yeah it's the same thing. the apex 3/5 have anti-ghosting "zones" but it only applies to certain keys, like WASD and 1-2-3-4

I have an Arctis 5 and am using Voicemeeter Banana. All worked perfectly fine for a while, but recently, when I switch to the headset, any sound starts crackling really bad. Restarting the audio engine in Voicemeeter fixes the issue, but only for a couple of seconds. Output to my speakers is fine - please help!

just FYI, the optical output is only active when set to PS4 input. the assumption is that if you're using PS5 you won't have optical since there's no port on the console, so it's turned off when you set it to PS5 input. If you use optical (from your TV or AV system) then you should set the input back to PS4 mode.

I had that happen to me, but the issue came from using a USB hub. Connecting it to a normal port solved the issue.

muted thorn my headset is not showing up on the engine how can I get it to work

have that issue as well with my arctis Pro Wireless.
Already tried a few different versions of the old engine 3, for which I had installers, (13.6.2,, 13.19.2 and 13.20.0).
after that tried the GG one, doesnt help either.
the wierd thing is that the headset actually works as before for me, it just does not get recognized by the engine software anymore for some reason.

on a likely related note, I also get a usb device called (Unknown USB Device (Set Address Failed)) in device manager when the base is plugged in. and I have now tried all USB port on all my devices , all of them have the same issue with that wierd device and the steelseries engine refusing to recognise the device.
looking into the properties of that device I get this description by windows:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The USB set address request failed.

I need help setting up an arctis 9x headset for PC. I have the xbox wireless dongle and have tried everything but cannot get MIC to be recognized by windows or the headset to work at the same time as the mic. also the side mic will not turn off and the audio is lagged so it messes me up. I just spent way too much money on this for it to not workt he way it was advertised

the funny thing is: the only actual issue is that it is not recognized by the engine, windows still recognises it well as ever before and it still works as intended.
aside from the very few thing that have to be done in the engine like equalizer tuning iirc.
my old tower and my laptop show the headset, but list it as not connected (they did recognize it at least 1 month before I first used the headset on the new tower),
my new tower doesnt list it at all

while the base is plugged in, attempt to uninstall it via deivce manager, and restart your pc, it should reinstall the drivers automatically and possibly fix it
