did you have "beeps" turned off before the firmware update? if you turned off the headset beeps then it won't make any sounds when entering pairing mode

i turned on the headset and clicked the bluetooth button for 6 secs and while it was pairing i just held down the volume button
when u press it it should be feeling the click and then just hold it down

Just to be 100% sure, the headset is turned on (white led blinking) then the volume wheel on the headset is being held in for 6+ seconds, and nothing is happening? the LED doesn't blink faster or anything?
nop nothing change if i press 6 20 or 60 seconds led blink the same as power on
Disabling audio enhancements in windows fixed the issue
Turn on the headset, press bluetooth for 6 secs, start pairing on the transmitter and press the volume button for a long time
Or after it failed press the volume button

did you ever use that button before the update? do you know if it worked before? usually clicking in the volume wheel would bring chatmix up on the transmitter screen so you could change it on the fly

i'm wondering if that button was ever working in the first place, so if it's broken then re-pairing can't be started....
For me the update for APW was also stuck on 50%. What i did was quit the update. Also stopping all tasks. And Set both SteelseriesEngine3.exe and SteelseriesEngine3Client.exe in the folder to run as administrator. Restart my pc. And rub steelseries engine again. And then he updated it again and also the headset. Give it a try.

Hi all!! I just got an Arctis Pro Wireless headset to upgrade from the 7X, but Iām finding the sound quality way different and not in a great way. The sound (in PUBG) is kind of tinny instead of full. All shots sound very distant and itās now hard to figure out where footsteps are coming from. Any ideas?

I believe engine supports the feature of changing profiles when it detects a game is launched, so I think you can create a profile with caps lock disabled

You can only activate it by holding the little button a few sec. Because when i turn 3D sound from sony off, it would be nice to can use the Surround sound from the DAC. Is this because over the USB connection there is maybe no 5.1 sound? That would be mean that the whole PS5 selection source is only 2.0 right?
And then is this update one big joke in my opinion. (I also have still my optical used from my TV, so that i always can use it by turning the source back to PS4 instead of PS5)

the arctis 3 is just an analog headset, no different than a pair of earbuds (just a lot nicer) so you just gotta plug in the 3.5mm and go

apex 3 is membrane
apex 5 is hybrid membrane/mechanical
apex 7 is fully mechanical (like many other traditional "gaming" keyboards)
apex pro uses magnetic mechanical switches

apex 3 uses a rubber dome/membrane switch, so it's soft and quiet but doesn't have full key rollover (aka you can't press certain keys together)
apex 5 is similar and has the same key rollover problems, but the hybrid switch in the apex 5 feels more clicky
apex 7 has the option to pick from red/blue/brown switches. red is linear (no click), blue is clicky, and brown is tactile (you can feel the click but doesn't make a click sound)

you can try a muffler kit. it won't get rid of the "click" of the switch but it will get rid of the noise from the key bottoming out on the switch

with the exception of the arctis pro/pro wireless, all the headsets use the same speaker drivers
and all headsets use the same mic
as you go up in price you're generally paying for more features or more compatibility with certain systems
arctis 1 has diffrent mic
it's the same microphone internally,only difference is it's detachable

Because I ordered the arctis 7pās about 9 days ago and it hasnāt been shipped. Also my ticket hasnāt been reviewed and itās been 5 days. So Iām just wondering when Iāll be getting my headset š
You'll get it whenever they get around to shipping it. Shipping for virtually everything is being delayed to get the COVID vaccines out to more people faster, so it's going to take extra time to ship everything else. If you've received an order number and invoice then you will get the headset, it just might not be for awhile. There's nothing SteelSeries can do about that.
artics pro wireless updated and now i have no sound
So the PS5 source mode for the arctis pro wireless update that came out yesterday is broken. Chat mix is no longer usable.

I heard a snap on my arctis 3 bluetooth when i took it off (as normal, no real force) now my right earcup seems to be loose. Looking at the two earcups there is no difference as far as i can tell, and the audio is the same. Is it worth trying to get it repaired, sumbit a ticket to support, or do i just have to buy a new pair of headphones?

trying to follow the conversation in here, but if you have access to an optical audio input, you should use PS4 mode. PS5 mode assumes you're not using optical (since the PS5 doesn't have an optical) so chatmix is turned off, and I think so is surround sound since that also requires optical (assumption is that you're using tempest 3D on PS5)
That really sucks that both Sony and Microsoft killed off the optical port for next gen consoles. I really wasted money on high end gaming headsets for nothing cuz of that

I think you can still dig that audio out if you have an AV system or even a TV that has an optical port, but yeah it's annoying. i wish sony at least let third parties access chatmix directly, since the feature exists for their own sony pulse headsets but not third parties
and xbox lets headsets do it, since the 7X has chatmix on xbox

Before you remove the steelseries engine or gg you should try the remove your headset from software product list and disconnect the headset after turn it off
And reinstall the steelseries gg
its already disconnected thats the issue
After reconnect your headset in to your pc
And turn it on and try pair it again
And if your headset is already paired

SS doesn't have any repair or refurbishment programs, so whoever your retailer sent your headset to isn't related to SS. you need to ask the retailer what's going on and where your item is and it's status

ENGINE 3.19.2 - PS5 Firmware update for the Arctis Wireless pro - is this working by somebody ? I only have massiv cracking on the left speaker, and on the right is nothing. turning the volume to the max i can hear music on the right speaker and the left cracking noise is killing my ears... I tried it on all USB Ports - it's all the same, change the USB Cable, nothing. this is Firmware related as it seems.
PC (USB) or PS4 is all working fine, PS5 is not usable - i use it with PS4 settings.
Also no Audio Out to the speakers when the Headset is off while in PS5 Mode.
Have to scroll down, its a weird aspect ratio glitch, its like they put the whole screen for engine into the gg window

So i couldnāt find the option Surround sound on the dac-menu from my Arctis Pro Wireless. And after looking on the website from steelseries ill found this: Is Arctis Pro Wireless a PlayStation or PC gaming headset?
It's both! The Arctis Pro Wireless is compatible with PS5, PS4, and PC, though some features differ from one system to another. On PC and PS4 you can use the onboard ChatMix adjustment and DTS Headphone:X surround sound. On PS5 you can use the PlayStation's built-in game/chat adjustment and Sony's 3D Tempest Audio Tech for surround sound. The Arctis Pro Wireless' onboard equalizer is available on all platforms. ā¦ā¦. So this mean NO DTS Surround sound on the PS5? That is really really f*cked in my opinion. And the only way to keep it, is by using a optical direct from your tv or by a HDMI extractor and keep selecting PS4 in the menu. And turn the 3d audio from sony off. Right? Because i think that the DTS from the dac still sound better then the 3d audio. But that steelseries donāt let you use DTS in the PS5 is really strange in my opinion. Ok i know the PS5 donāt have the optical. But the PS4 SLIM donāt have it also. And then they also advice to connect it direct to your tv or using a extractor. That same option/advice could use for the PS5 also in my opinion.

Hey everyone, I just received my SteelSeries Pro (wired) + DAC and am trying to connect it with the PS5. I followed this guide from steel series (https://steelseries.com/blog/connect-steelseries-arctis-headset-playstation-5-432) but this only let me get the mic working and not the actual game audio to my headset. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Yes it has some on the left/back side and thatās where I can unmute or mute the mic as well as increase/decrease volume. I tested the Unmute/mute for the mic and it works and if I increase the volume I can hear myself through the headset via a mic test

Disabling all enhacnements got rid of any discernable audio delay without DTS, but a slightly less severe delay still exists with DTS on. I assume DTS just adds a delay regardless.
Hello, so I just got myself the Arctis 5 headset, and it doesn't seem to be working via USB. It'll light up and everything, and I have the sound settings set to use the headset, but I don't hear anything. It works just fine via the headphone jack, but it sounds much worse than my old $20 headset
It seems the mic works, but there is no sound output
Make sure the volume wheel on the headset itself isn't turned all the way to mute. Also make sure that the notch on the ChatMix dial is in the center and not turned all the way to one side

Brand new headphones tend to sound kinda bad right out of the box because the drivers are stiff. Once they warm up with some use they'll sound better
You can make a custom EQ in SSE or set one of the presets as well

After i updated my pro wireless to 3.19.2 and everytime i connect it again on my pc. It's not as big of an issue as some might say. Basically as long as you aren't super rough with them they'll be fine. I've been using some Arctis 5s for over a year now and haven't had any joint problems with them. If you want to be super careful though, instead of grabbing the ear cup and stretching to put them on your head, grab the part of the headband right above the ear cup.

The headsets kinda have the same audio and mic, all tho they are differently in how customizable they are and in how far you can edit them thru your pc, for example: arctis 3 has the basics (good audio, good mic and easy access to controls.)
Arctis5: RGB lighting and the choice to be wireless. all tho is almost the same as the arctis 3
Arctis 7: Ever so slightly better audio but the same microphone. More options on how to customize thru the steelseries console on your pc and a wide choice of customization.
Arctis Pro: 7.1 audio quality and a slightly better mic, more options to edit in the steelseries consol on your pc.
So my geuss is that there wont be a arctis pro v2 in the period of 5 years. Alltho there might be a arctis 10 coming up on about 1/2 hears since the arctis pro is not that old of an headset.

Mhm. Where did you buy it from? Maybe it has a warranty on it. So you can return it and get a new one. Broken plastic is not something you can repair easily, all tho if you still have the part that broke you might be able to super glue it back on somehow

so when i just plug in the mouse nothing really hanppens.Engine says its complete but nothing changes if i click the top 2 side buttons and the cpi button it works in sonic mode but in sonic mode its pretty much unusable cuz of the cpi multiplier. If i do r click + l click + cpi button the lights come just like the sonic mode but the sensor or anything does not work but in that mode support said in that mode u should run the update.Application file (that they e mailed me ) after i run it it says update competed but the mouse is still broken just like if i just plugged it in with no combinations

no, I think Moments captures the entire game/chat audio output, so anything outputting sound will get captured.

with the 7 you would use the dongle to the phone since the headset doesnt have bluetooth
if your phone support audio over the USB-C port then it'll probably work, but i'd check with other people who have the same phone or even with the phone manufacturer

The ps5 controllers are currently known to have some problems, so it could be the controller wich is glitching, are you sure that both of the cables are fully in your ps5 console, controller and headset?
The headset is not connected to the controller but to the Dac which is connected to the ps5 usb and the optical cable to the Astro audio extractor.

I just bought a Rival 3 and configured the Discord GameSense app for it
But it isn't working
It's switched on and this is what I have it configured for:
When I initially hit "configure", I got a prompt in discord to verify the SteelSeries application, which I did
I can see SteelSeries Discord under Authorized Apps
But my mouse isn't lighting up purple when I get a message
I have Windows notifications for Discord disabled, if that's relevant, though I wouldn't expect it to matter
I did notice that in the authorization prompt, it said I would be redirected to https://steelseries.com after authorization, however, that never happened
I understand that shipping times may be a little delayed, but I placed my order 5 days ago and it still says "Preparing for Shipment."
How long has it usually taken items to ship in the past few weeks?

when I was checking out on 3/5 it gave me an estimated arrival of 3/19 so I'm guessing the current shipping time is two weeks (for USA)

Does moments not work with Minecraft?
It apparently works with Bedrock (Windows 10) Edition but not with Java
moments does work with java, you just have to add the java executable as the game

do you have any consoles that you already own? most modern console controllers can be used on PC, usually with a bit of tweaking or by buying a cheap adapter, so it may be the better option
Xbox One/X controllers work with an adapter, PS4/PS5 controllers work over Bluetooth (but requires an extra program), and Switch Pro controllers also work over Bluetooth

Anyone have problems with the qck mousepad scuffing after continuous use? How do i prevent this if so?
So i have a rival 100 and theres a way to have a certin cpi, but in games how dose that affect you
like dose it change the game sens

any changes you make in game are added on top of the CPI you have set.
i think 800 is a "normal" CPI, but it's best to just set it to a CPI you like and then if you need the mouse to be more/less sensitive in games, just change the in-game settings
my headset has been acting up and they told me to either destroy my product or send it a away to chicago. are these literally the only 2 options i have

I have issue with Steelseries Engine 3 (or with my Arctis 5). I have just blue static color of my RGB lights on headset but after some time lighting effects just reset. I must restart Steelseries Engine everytime to fix it but then it happens again. It started after update about 1 month ago.
that's the way it's done. all troubleshooting is done remotely so there's not 100% proof that your item is malfunctioning, so the RMA requires it to be unquestionably broken (or shipped.) otherwise people could lie and say their item is broken, a replacement is sent, and they walk away with a free item.
but if i destroy it i will be out of a headset for a month or 2
some other people have said they got permission to do a hold RMA where they bought the item from the store and got refunded later, so there was no downtime, not sure if that's possible in your case

i have a similar problem but its my mouse and i dont have a temporary mouse to use until i get the replacement

Been having an issue with my Arctis 3 headset where when I boot up my PC the audio settings in SSEngine don't work. I have to go to the control panel, disable the headphones, enable again, go into Spatial Sound and set it to Off, even though it's always on off. Anyone else own these headphones?
Also, this happened across 3 or 4 PCs I've used these past 3 years
they stopped updating/supporting arctis 3 in engine and recommend you just use the spatial sound in windows 10 instead of engine
