Hey guys this might be a noob question. I made the switch from Corsair to some Artic 7s. There steel engine software does nothing for me. None of the EQ settings work and turning DTS on or off makes no difference. The only thing that function is the live mic preview. What the heck am I missing haha

You'd have to disassemble the entire board to do that, and whether or not that's easy, well you'll just have to look up a tear down guide and judge it for yourself I guess lol
Apologies if this has been asked before, I can't see anything obvious. The last two or three days, my GAME channel on Arctis 5 has no output. Any ideas?
Tried the usual, reinstall of the Steelseries engine, audio driver updates.
Has worked fine for about 2 years without any issues
Game channel seems to stutter like this when I attempt to play any audio, if GAME is selected as default device no platform will output anything, sites like youtube just stutter each second but have no output. If CHAT is selected as global default, it outputs fine.
Sounds like it could be a problem with the sound card (the ChatMix dial). If you have the 3.5mm adapter that came in the box, try using that to plug the headphones into the PC and make sure they're working fine that way. Before plugging them back into the ChatMix, try wiping all of the drivers and everything related to it and SteelSeries off the PC, restarting, then plug the ChatMix back into the PC and see if that fixes it. When you plug it back in fresh, Windows should automatically fetch all the necessary drivers then you can try reinstalling SSE. If that doesn't fix the issue then it's most likely just a bad sound card. I'm pretty sure you can by standalone ChatMixs from the SS website

In the sound control panel you should be able to just click apply then ok in the dialogue box after enabling any of the Windows effects and it should save

Just be patient. Since the support team is working from home it takes longer than usual to deal with a lot of support requests and especially RMAs. On top of that each support agent has well over 500+ tickets to respond to and resolve every single day so there's likey hundreds of people that filed tickets before you that your agent is still working to resolve and hundreds of tickets after you with people wondering the same thing.

hi, where do I actually create a support ticket? I click on support and there's no where from what I can see that I can actually submit one
if you go on the support website a chat bot window will open up in the bottom right corner. Just follow the prompts and it will show you how to open a ticket

Looks like some faulty wiring going to the other LED strip. Best thing to do would be open a support ticket and get it RMAd (assuming it's still within the one year warranty period)

Tbh, on my pros I don't use any eq settings. But, I recommend turning on boost high on the in-game settings.
I got it high . Just not sure why it’s not as clear as my turtle beaches :(. There must be a set up someone has... just can’t find anything online

I'd advise training. At least you can do it in a safe environment and won't impact your stats.

actually for lithium ion batteries it's best to charge them around 15-20% so it makes sense to give you a warning when it gets to about 25%

Just bought Arctis Pro Wireless but I am having an issue. everything works perfect until I launch any game. My default communication (in windows sound settings) instantly are basically muted, They still show up as a device but they just dont have any audio at all. Voice dont work and neither does "default communication" ( which I have set to Arctis pro wireless chat )

Yea at that point the only problem is the hardware. I’d get that returned for a working headset if the return window is still open or if your warranty isn’t gone yet.

I currently have an issue where some days the headset (Arctis 7 Wireless) connects to windows but does not receive any sound (Except its own on/off and mike on/off sounds), nor does the mike input work.
My girlfriend has the same headset and issue. Both started on the 11/02/2021.
We are both using SteelSeries Engine 3.19 and I had no issues until I updated to this version from an older one the day her headset starting giving her problems.
Windows update also installed two KB that day for the both of us, KB4601050 and KB4601319 so that could be another reason.
Changing usb ports for the wireless dongle seems to fix the issue.
If anyone has any ideas...

This seems like a similar issue to what I have, except for me the audio is staight up dead on windows start, or after hearing any kind of sound (Sounds like it breaks down and fades instantly)

Maybe, but then again, the issue seems to come and go, we had it on the 11th, and after we made it work miraculously, no issues until today, and today both headsets stopped working again until we changed usb ports
So even if I try another headset it might take days until anything happens if it does

This channel is for peer to peer support, not official support from SteelSeries staff. Just be patient and an agent will respond to your ticket eventually. With the support staff working from home their capacity to respond and resolve things quickly is severely diminished. It sucks, yeah, but each support agent has upwards of 500+ tickets to respond to every single day, and since the team doesn't work on weekends, they're probably playing catch up on those tickets today.

The beta software Steelseries GG doesn't open unless it's open as administrator is there a way to fix this or at least keep it as administrator so I don't have to go through the start bar

The game channel should be the default, but if the dac isn't separating the channels and a reinstall of the engine and headset/dac drivers hasn't fixed it it's most likely an issue with the dac itself

The Arctis Pros need the transmitter box for the full wireless features, yeah. Although it does have bluetooth so if you don't want to move the transmitter box from your desk or wherever you can connect the headset to your laptop if it has bluetooth and use it wireless that way if you're moving around a lot
i am almost wishing i got the wired as i do lay in bed and watch my programming lessons. oh my hmmm
I only play call of duty with my friends, my 7x works perfectly fine with Xbox parties and Cold War game chat, but in Warzone once it gets to a lower amount of battery, the mic starts cutting in and out, meaning my friends can’t hear me, once I plug it in to charge, they can hear me perfectly. Is this a known issue, or a faulty device?
It's likely the way the battery works.
Like how when you're low on battery with your phone the screen dims and it becomes slow and sluggish to respond.

discord auto configs them for you without giving you the controls you would normally have because they consider the preset settings optional, if anything its a disadvantage as you have less control

Hi, I am disabled and have been using your Merc Stealth keyboard for many years. I game and i'm 50+. The "W" key on game pad side has broken😫 . The clear plastic part is in pieces. The rubber coating on the W, A, S and D is worn off. It's very difficult to find a keyboard that my disability allows me to use. Is there a chance you might still have some of these keys? If anyone here also has the Arctis 7 I need urgent help please, this problem only started yesterday, I literally can't use the arctis 7 game audio as the default output audio as I always did and I have the headset for months maybe 6 months.
Whenever I change the windows playback device to the game audio then I can't hear anything in youtube and discord calls
And it forces me to use the arctis 7 chat for mic and output
And I did not change anything in the steelseries engine or windows settings
Only hardware I got yesterday was a new gaming mouse and a new gaming mouse pad (Not steelseries If that matters)

Actually I was very upset at first because in the end I paid 90 euros for the mouse and the fact that customer service is slow to respond does not help to calm down, but I am aware that we are in a difficult period for everyone and we need to be more patient. So, in the software, my headset was showing as having no bars (so very little % left) and the button was glowing red. I plugged it in for about 2 seconds and the button went green and then in the software it was showing as being full health?

No, it should create a game profile in the actual engine

Just reinstall the plug-in
It's a basic solution and it'll do the same thing
I'd also recommend going through the engine file and checking for remnants of it as it may keep the config for later reinstallation

ok so reinstalling the mod indeed reset the mc gamesense but i still dont know how to reset the gamesense of other games, do you have a screencap of where to locate the profiles?
I personally don't have a product that supports RGB/bind profiles so no, but if that worked, do the same with the others
the thing is that minecraft is basicall the only one with a mod, all the others (cyberhook, terraria etc) have it integrated in the first place

If I turn on 7.1 Surround, I have a delay. If I turn that off, it goes away. This doesn't really help my problem though because the audio isn't that good without it

I fixed it without opening a ticket! I followed a reddit post that said to uninstall steelseries engine, move the transmitter cable to a usb 2.0 instead of a 3.0 (mine was at a 3.0) and then reinstall steelseries engine. This worked and now I feel a lot better.

I keep getting audio problems with my Arctis Pro Wireless where the audio will kill itself and YouTube will tell me It's an "Audio rendering error, restart your PC" (Spoiler restarting does nothing), uninstalling all the driver and app does something, but It's a pain for VR when you're inside this other world and you want to use 7.1 surround sound, but the only fix I've found is to reset the chatbox, uninstall every driver in device manager and uninstall the app and reinstall. This is a pain too if you use a Steelseries keyboard and mouse and have to do this daily when it decides to break out of random
And for clarification SteelSeries Engine 3 has that issue worse while SteelSeries GG is slightly better when it comes to the ooga booga disconnect and also Spiritual Sound is on

@normal gulch you should do this same thing. Just type your question into that box then if it asks "Was this answer helpful?" just select "no" and it will prompt you to contact them by email and create an official ticket

So I asked for one they said yes so I got all the stuff ready to return and took it to my nearest ups store. keys affected are (i had to copy and paste these) n comma period (both places) slash 0 (on the keypad) reverse slash and thats about it

There should be a splitter cable in the box for the headset. You plug the 3.5mm cord into the splitter then plug each end of the splitter into the headphone and mic ports if they're separated on your PC. If you plug the 3.5mm cable into just the headphone jack then the mic won't work.

Hi all, I had an order placed on the 7th of January for an Apex pro uk but my order still says preparing for shipment when on the email it says it estimated the delivery on the 12-13 of January. i haven't received the package and none of my tickets are being answered after waiting 3 weeks. I dont know how else to get my problem solved as my tickets arent being answered.

I think they did, it says the order number is "Order #1827942" but thats all i was given

i think it might be because some people would abuse the warranty thing where if it was say, 4 months in and they couldnt return, but wanted the next model up, they could fake an issue and just end up paying the total for the next model up, but getting 2 headsets in the process (even if ones destroyed)

yeah thats where i think the line should be drawn, they should prioritise those with ongoing RMA issues that are unresolved and nearing the deadline, especially when the previous item has already been destroyed

do you think theres any chance of it being within the RMA window? most steelseries stuff has a 1 year warranty, but it might be 2 years depending on where you live

alright well that means theyve acknowledged the ticket and id say you could probably now undergo legal action, sucks that thats the outcome though, but id wait until the code has officially expired, just in case they come back into stock

i was considering buying the arctis pro wireless, but i wanted the option to have hi-res audio if i wanted to plug in a wire. since the arctis pro wireless has the same drivers but cant output hi res (by virtue of being wireless), i was wondering if the arctis pro and pro wireless would sound the same if they were both plugged into a gamedac
from what ive heard, the sound quality is noticably different between the 2 (when its hi res vs not hi res)

I've been having problems with my Arctis Pro Wireless and Discord. When I'm in a server with friends and a music bot my discord sound will go completely off when no one is talking for a few seconds and thus will not hear the music (this doesn't count as someone talking for some reason), it will go quieter gradually for the length of about a second and then turn off. The moment someone talks the music will pop in instantly together with the person talking.
I have tried with earbuds and here it doesn't happen... So this makes me think it's a thing with the headset maybe. I am using the recommended settings with a Steelseries headset in Discord and have no attenuation settings turned on... I also have tried reinstalling Discord and have just reset my windows not long ago (but just before I got my Arctis Pros)
Please help because I think it might be a thing with the headset Discord integration/collaboration or something and I'm going insane because it's very annoying...
do you have any other devices you could test the headset with? like a laptop or another pc

I think you’re able to pay for the replacement product and then once you destroy/send back the faulty one they refund you. I’m starting to wish I had done that now
I've not heard of them doing that, but ive not had to deal with out of stock items before
There are different RMA routes
One route is destruction and replacement code to get a new one
The alternative is to have you purchase the item again using a specific code so it is recognized for the Rma order, from there once it arrives then the buyer is issued a refund upon arrival.
All of this is granted that steps are followed, the product is within warranty, proof product destruction, Serial Numbers are correct (typed and photographed), etc

Hello, I used to have an Arctis Wireless Pro. Unfortunately it broke and I had to downgrade to a Arctis Wireless 7. However, I play Tarkov and now my in-game sounds sound ''Hollow/Heavy'' rather than clear? It's almost an Echo as well.
Another question is that I get two options under my windows audio. ''Headphone of Arctis 7'' or ''Earphone of Arctis 7''. I don't know which one is the proper one to use.

After setting up my favorite Color Shift, I looked for the Discord GameSense App. I wanted to make the first zone to notify me when i'm muted and the second one to notify me, when i get any discord message
BUT: After i tested the functions, i realised that every time one of the discord event appears (Message / Muted) the light will be turned off. It overrides the Color Shift colors and the light will be off forever
Is there any feature where the Color Shift will be continued after the discord event is not active anymore?

Have you tried removing all of the keyboard drivers from Windows + remove the engine then restart the system and plug the board back in?

Go into device manager and find the keyboard listings, right click and unstall drivers for all of the keyboard options listed

i have an arctis 7 and just update SS engine to SS GG and ever since my profiles never switch. if i manually switch them or set them to switch with a game, neither works. especially manual. completely clean install too

Steelseries moments: Can I remove the mic audio AFTER it has been captured? The auto-capture feature has generated some good content, but I didn't have my headset on so it was just capturing random noise
No, currently Moments only mixes all audio tracks, game, chat and mic, into one so there's no easy way to edit it after the fact. Best solution is to either mute the mic in Moments or just keep your headset mic muted

make sure the Arctis 9 is in PC mode and not Playstation mode and then make sure that in Discord you select „Headset Earphone (Arctis 9 wireless Chat) for output devices
