Is the problem specific to a browser? For example, games and apps sound works fine but when you try to watch YouTube or Spotify through a browser you get no sound?

the thing is in sonar i have the 3 sectors master game chat mic. chat is for discord and ts and stuff and the sector game is for my games and the internetbrowser if i take the steelseries sonar game in valorant i have instandt no sound if i klick on the steelseries sonar chat i have sound but its the wrong profile the same in google and spotifie and youtbe xd i dont get it whats wrong xD

And you’re sure in windows sound panel you have Sonar Gaming as default sound device and Sonar chat as default communications device and not the other way around right?

Yes it works on Bluetooth mode

It's only the game mode thing that doesn't have any audio

apparently I tried to install gg for managing my mouse conflict and stuffs. But installing GG knock off my dolby atoms on my speakers without even touching sonar

Okay so bit of an odd problem I have some Arctis sevens which I use on my Mac Studio and whenever I join a FaceTime call I can’t hear any audio through my headphones when every other audio Source will work through the headphones. I could only get FaceTime audio to work through the only other output I have which is the Mac inbuilt speakers which are terrible

Yeah that's normal. The DAC will only switch to hi-res mode when it's available with whatever audio is being played

Hi so I have the Steelseries Arctis 3 which I have had for a few months now and have had little usage for the mic on PC till now, upon attempting to set it up, I notice that the microphone doesn't appear in sound options and the Realtek audio device just uses my built in mic in my laptop. Does anyone know how to get this up and running? And before anyone says, yes mic permissions are turned on. I had a condenser USB mic before this but it broke so I need to use the Arctis as a temporary replacement.

I cant help much in the KB way, but you are highlighting the zones you want the lighting to affect yes? For example, in this screenshot only the top zone of my mouse is selected and any illum changes will only affect that zone

hey soo I was mid-stream and all of a sudden the sound cut out on my game, so I looked down and noticed that the headset had turned itself off. I turned it back on, heard the game and my teammates for about 2 seconds and then it turned off again. This happened several times until I decided to end my stream about two minutes later because it was clearly not working. Everything is up to date and the battery has 3 bars remaining.

so after I turned my stream off, I waited a few minutes, then turned my headset back on. The light is on, showing that it's muted, but I'm not getting any sound out of it at all, not even when I turn it off and on.

Anyone had anything similar? I got my headset about a year ago.

You need to set button 6 to act as a keystroke through Engine if you want to use it for anything. Windows and a lot of games don't like to register mouse 6 for some reason so that's the workaround. I have the same issue with my Rival 650

I got an Apex 7 TKL ( red switch) Having some issues with couples keys, as P, 0 and ; some times they active wrong keys.
All i need to do is disconnect USB port and connect again to get back to normal.
The problem is this error are happening several times per day, So i need to know if is possible to switch the USB cable if it is how can i find it to buy.

ok having noticed all this CAN YOU ALL from the last time i posted till now all of you do this : uninstall gg yes uninstall to do this goto search type control panel enter control panel and click "programs and features" then in the window scroll until you find steelseries and highlight and click uninstall then click back until your in control panel again and click "explorer file and folder options" then select "show hidden files, folders and drives" click apply and ok close goto c drive and delete steelseries from "programfiles" and " programfiles (x86) " and "programdat" unplug your device reboot and before you plug back into a different port install gg login to your account plug your device back in and activate sonar

Hello everyone, sending a message because I have my Steelseries Arctis 1 since April and until now I had no problems but since this morning it seems like the settings changed and my mates on discord can't hear me as usual. I checked my settings and I didn't see anything that changed but when I go on Sonar App, and I test my microphone, it seems like there is a huge echo repeating my test infinitely and making weird noises.

yes the dongle only works with the mouse it came with so you'd need to swap every time

You could try to keep one dongle plugged, one mouse turned off. Pair the first mouse manually to the dongle.
Then turn of the first mouse and turn on the second one to repeat the same process.
Maybe it'll work if the pairing system is wacky

But most likely it won't work because I think both dongle and mouse keep track of the info of each other

if you don't have sonar on then it locks your windows volume since the volume control is done through the base station. you'll need to turn sonar on so that volume control is handed off to Sonar, and then it can be controlled through the volume wheel

It’s not worth the stress, you can always return it. Tbh it’s a small quirk in the gram scheme of things and usually a quick re-pair to the DAC will fix it. It seems to only happen to me after an update, haven’t been able to replicate it other than that but mileage may vary

Ok, in the windows sound panel make sure you right click and reset the three devices as default. Sometimes that alone works, if that doesn’t work I would try it wireless or use the headset with your phone to make sure the mic works

I have the weirdest issue if anyone would know how to help. I just got my nova pro wireless today and everything was working perfectly fine. Later today i turn on my computer and sonar isn't detecting my mic's input. I've gone through most of the trouble shooting steps and there was nothing wrong. However, my problem gets really interesting here; when i have either the windows "sound settings" pulled up OR the 'recording' category under "manage audio devices" from the control panel, sonar receives my mic input like it normally should. The moment I leave any of those mentioned windows, sonar instantly stops getting my mic input. Im on windows 10 if thats pertinent.

The mic was working perfectly a few hours ago. Lmk what yall think, thanks in advance

amazingly there are a high number it's because it is mass produced but the better headset to me are the arctis nova pro wired or wireless you pay more but seem to get a better product just one thing to note is there are no replacement earcups for them at the moment as they fit differently to all the other models

Most, if not ALL of the issues we see it’s because it wasn’t setup correctly or there was an update and somewhere along windows/gg/app changed the audio device settings.

You need to make sure the devices are selected correctly.

Already have done everything listed in that link and just double checked it all and microphone still wont work. Input audio works perfectly, just nothing is getting picked up from my microphone. Drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled same with SS Engine and Sonar.

alright ive just picked up a pair of arctis 9s today, and im getting a little frustrated with the mic sidetone. the last pair i owned was arctis 7s for some context. I'm uncomfortable turning off sidetone because it just sounds weird to me but I'm having a problem with my 9s that i didnt have with my 7s. i medium setting is what im trying to use but the sensitivity on the sidetones is picking up my fan nearby, which was not an issue with my older headphones. is there an input sensitivity before my sidetone will pick up my mic or am i screwed?

You can do it on the DAC, or connect to a PC and use the GG engine for the EQ settings. There is no extra benefit by doing it via the GG engine other than ease of use

if you go into the configuration for the system monitor app, you can go to your device, then "remove" all the statuses for that device. once they're all removed it should only display on the one device

You need to make sure the devices are selected correctly.

You can’t, the only option would be to change the game itself. If you don’t have that option you will need to uninstall steelseries GG and delete all of the remaining folders, then reboot and then install an earlier version than 25.00 which is when the 24/9600hz rate was upgraded

hello, having a peculiar issue with engine right now. when i go to update firmware, my headset disconnects from the wireless base station. My wireless base station is connected to the pc, as is the headset, via USB-A to USB-C cables. Hopefully this is an easy fix and i've missed a step!

This has been officially answered by SteelSeries and cannot be done. You need to rebind the keys specifically if you want it like that. The function key cannot be swapped to alternate

The headset needs to be using the 2.4ghz wireless mode connected to the base station and the base station needs to be plugged into the PC via USB to make changes to the headset in Engine. It won't detect it if the headset is connected to the PC via Bluetooth

Hello everyone! I need some help. Just received my new Arctis nova pro wireless and I'm having an issue using sonar. I have no output in my headphones when I select sonar gaming as my audio device. Hello. So I've ran into a small issue. I have a Arctis 9 Wireless. My friends are able to hear me thru discord, I've tried booting up a game and still no audio in my headphones. I did mess around with the input and output but still nothing. I've even tried using SteelSreies GG and checking Sonar. Yet nothing. Is their a possible solution on fixing this?

idk what i did but it recommended me to click an auto thingy and then it switched my input from (my mic) to (my mic)

I would start with unplugging the USB from the pc for 10 secs, or trying another port to try and reset the driver.

The second thing I would do is to try and re-pair the headset to the doc.

I don’t remember if there’s a way to hard reset these but if there is I would try that to make sure it not anything on the headset side glitched out.

Last; maybe uninstall GG completely and make sure you delete all of the remaining folders. Then reboot and reinstall?

If it doesn't help, I suggest you to download SteelSeries Engine software. Maybe some setting in there can solve your problem

Thanks, not sure why that shows Arctis 7chat there in the Game channel but what I would do first is re-select the devices as default in windows. Sometimes this will work, you may have to default another device and then go back to the correct one.

If that doesn’t work you can uninstall, delete all gg folders, and reinstall gg again.

They look all correct may just be glitched somewhere.

For discord. The correct output and input is sonar mic and sonar chat.
