Anyone with a nova7x, does your game volume drop 50ish% when you try to take a call or join discord via bluetooth while on xbox? (I have the bluetooth setting to do nothing in the GG app). This is my 3rd headset and all have had the same issue. Im curious if anyone else does too. Ive gone through SS support and they just want to offer a replacement.

It keeps cutting in the sound and then I hear the beep that appears when the headset is turned on - there's also disturbances in the sound. It has started over the last few days and now it's every 10-15 seconds while playing.
Any idea how to solve this? Rust is a difficult game with little to no sound...

Hi, I just bought the Nova 7. When I try to connect the wireless transmitter to my USB's in the back it metions unknown device and the transmitter turns off immediately. Spacial audio in game, you need to make sure your audio outputs are the sonar ones in windows. You can also try restarting GG if you still do not hear audio. I have seen GG get into a bad state (a lot)

For the Nova Pro wireless the only difference between the Xbox and normal is that the Xbox version has a USB-C port that is dedicated for Xbox and doesn't work with anything else

The other port is just like both ports on the other version

So I got a replacement cable for my Arctis 7p+'s, and nothing's showing up on the Steel Series GG menu. I can hear through them, and the mic works, what do now? Using them on PC btw.

Static is usually cause by how the 3.5mm is well jacked in. Sometimes you gotta twist it a bit to find its sweetspot.

Hey there, I have a Arctis 7+ and have a problem with Feedback loop, basically the mic is picking up sounds from the headphones. This is especially annoying in Discord, as friends can hear themselves unless I turn their volume down to like 50%.

This happens in USB mode and in wireless mode

Do I have a faulty headset or is this common? Even when adjusting the threshold in Sonar to something quite high it'll still happen often enough for them to complain

also to 100% confirm that you definitely have a stratus XL? the XL is the older controller that requires 2 AA batteries. if you don't have to put in batteries then it's not a stratus XL but likely a stratus duo or stratus plus, and both of those controllers aren't compatible with Engine

I have only ever had one other piece of software cause my PC to blue screen during installation and that was Voicemeeter (an audio splitting program).

Hey, since last week my pc is not working anymore. So I accidentally bumped into my pc but it was just a little touch and now it looks like my GPU is defect. When I start op NZXT Cam is says my GPU is not recognised and in my windows settings it’s not recognised either. But the RGB on the gpu is still working, fans are spinning and the lights that show that it’s getting power from the PSU are showing aswell.

When selecting an input on the SteelSeries GG Mixer, the option for the mic on the headset does not appear, even though it is set as a default microphone device. My concern is that the OLED screen of the external DAC is always on when plugged into the USB port of the Xbox.
I swore I remember the DAC turning off (OLED screen off) whenever the Xbox would turn off as well.

I upgraded from Steelseries Arctics 7's (Best headset ever!)
To the wired SteelSeries Nova Pro's,..... Now my issue is that it is alot harder to tell my left and my rights apart, this happens in Engine and Sonar (Spatial off or on doesn't change much but volume)

On the 7's it was clear as day what left, right, front, center, etc etc was with pinpoint accuracy!
Now im abit dissapointed that i can't find out how to do it on a higher end headset... Anyone has the same issue or knows how to resolve it?

On a side note, i see alot of videos online about these headsets and they have Dolby Atmos on their GameDac, is that only for the wireless or something i need to get somehow to get it to become easier to hear left right difference?

Overtime perhaps if it gets inside the headset 'itself' the sounds can become scuffled, if its in the earpad mesh it should be alright, you can take those off and deep/clean them no problem at all depending on the headset 🙂

So any who has noticed the change from Win10 to Win11 makes u unable to use Artics Pro Wireless Game and it only lets u use Artics Pro Wireless Chat. However Game is still showing its being used, just no sound coming out. I tried reinstalling GG, also in Win10 I had DTS:X for physical sound, now this is only usable with Windows something, which doesnt have as great a debt. My biggest fear is that GG is the cause and not Windows. Any who experience the same or have a way to circumvent it?

Gotcha, Sonar can be used with any profile/flat tune/or your own custom EQ.

Most of us don’t play on one of the preloaded profiles as honestly there’s better tweaking for your specific headset.

But other than checking the playback devices in the windows sound settings I don’t have anymore ideas 😦

Morning, everyone. I was gifted the Arctics 7X yesterday and I'm noticing that the volume on the left ear cup is a bit lower than the one on the right. On the series X I'm trying to find an audio menu that would let me tweak the volume balance but I'm not seeing anything of the sort. The headsets I have been using, the Astro a50s, are not experiencing this imbalance.

Any ideas as to what this could be? Could it be balanced out, maybe a hardware issue? I love the sound coming out of them so I hope I can get this resolved.

I have sonar enabled. I checked on windows and the sonar gaming audio virtual device shows as 96khz audio capable. The DAC still shows 48khz on the display though.

I recently bought an Arctis nova pro wireless, and it has been great so far.
But I've come across a few problems that I can't seem to fix.. Usually when I boot up a game or some software, all of my input and output devices seem to change automatically, which makes me unable to use the Chatmix option. It also enables devices that I have disabled while all the checkboxes are unchecked for apps to take control. I basically have to go to Sonar and set it back to default settings, disable all the devices that used to be disabled.
Does anyone know what might cause this problem?

Hello everyone, please help, I had Astrogaming A50 wirelles in front of Steelseries headphones with Nova Pro wirelles. I used something like Live mic (on Nova Pro) every day and it worked on Astrogaming A50 without problems. When I turn on Live mic on Nova Pro so I hear myself with a delay. It is then unusable. Base unit /dac when you sort the chat in sonar you use the base unit to alter the setting by pressing once on the adjuster wheel

Someone who has the Artic 7+ can tell me if this is normal. When the battery runs out, the headset gets stuck and you can neither charge them or turn them on, you have to remove a pad and press the reset button to get them to charge or turn on. yes but with them being brand new if they don't work correctly out of the box then you should return for a replacement

ok i need you to do this because i reckon it still believes it's on the version 24 .......uninstall gg remove/turn off headset and remove dac/baseunit from pc before rebooting goto programfiles delete steelseries directory same goes for programfiles(x86) and programdat then reboot do not plug dac or headset back in reinstall gg then connect headset as stated in instruction guide then log in to steelseries then activate sonar and do the selection for game chat mic hopefully all should tick green and you can move forward

RGB lighting is playing up on my Apex Pro, only key that lights up is the right arrow key, stays red and cannot be changed. flickers everyone now and again.. Yet when I restart my PC all the lighting comes on for a few seconds, but then it goes of and just end up with the single red arrow key.. Anyone else had similar problem? I've tried all the factory restart options etc..

@cold hollyok so you would also get this logo when you say download from the internet so i would say it was a downloading logo as in the browser it shows a list of your download history so it can also mean you need to download the firmware ?

I doubt I’ll be getting an xbox, if I do definitely not anytime soon, so I’ll go for this one
Just to clarify though, if I got the Xbox version there’d be no way to use PC and PS4 at the same time simultaneously?

ok to clarify the xbox version does everything the pc/ps4-5 does but can do xbox as well for the same price as the standard pc/ps4-5 version so if your ever going to have an xbox you would purchase the xbox version to allow you to do everything device wise

Anyone else having Audio bugging out on Nova Pro Wireless while on PlayStation or PC? Seems like there’s audio issues. I’m getting what seems like a drop in connectivity or some sort of interference. I can’t pin point the issue but I did move the dongle away from the pc as far as I can. It seemed to help a little but I still have the issue. I upgraded from the 7 Pro Wireless and never had any issues. Do any of you have a solution for this? If I can’t find any fixes I’ll be returning the headset in the next few days. Appreciate any and all feedback.

@keen pelicanyou've had problems with this headset before try this plug it direct using the charger cable then unplug see if that resets it if not you may have to revisit the ticket submission
