So's my brother, and I've got a slightly older i7 laptop that I use for everything. Nothin wrong with it if you don't mind the fan noise, but max settings are out of the question on newer games, and for all those performance pushers out there it just doesn't do the trick. $5k for a screen is a lot, I agree, but if it makes some folks happy there's nothing wrong with it, don't see why it should bother the rest of us.

depends on if you need the PC for anything. otherwise I don't see a problem, some people use TVs as monitors for PC because they don't have an XBox, same deal as you but in reverse. if it works for you you're good, only reason to change/upgrade is if you need to or want to
