When I want to view my Moments clips I have to manually load the folder via Explorer first before they show up in GG, otherwise the page will be empty. This issue is SINCE the last 6.2 patch... While the 6.1 patch said it would fix this exact problem... It was working fine for me on 6.0 and 6.1, but now not anymore.

Auto capture tries to automatically select the capture option that will work best with whatever game you're playing. Game will generally give you the best performance, but there are a few titles out there that don't like being captured by the Game option. If you're playing one of those types of games then the Auto capture settings will automatically switch the capture type to screen to save clips for that game

The switches aren't hotswappable. You'd have to disasemble the board and desolder the old switch to replace them with the new which would void the manufacturer warranty and is just an all around hassle for most people. If you didn't buy a hotswappable board then why would you expect them to sell individual switches?

Steelseries is actually good when it comes to this, they sent me replacement mouse skates for my Rival. You can remap it in AHK, but this will affect all XF86VolUp and XF86VolDown keys, unless you use LuaMacros as a workaround

that's not the case for regular MX factor switches like QX2 switches used in Apex 7 - you can easily find 1:1 replacements from Gateron for those

I don't think there's a way to mute the notification sound but you can just disable the second audio output under settings if your Discord calls are being routed through a second output like the Game and Chat outputs on SteelSeries headsets or through Sonar

It's mostly down to preference. Moments give you easier ways to share and edit clips directly from the app vs GE. Quality wise the clips should be identical since both apps use the NVENC encoder on your GPU to record the clips

Same thing. Quality will be virtually identical since both programs use AVC encoding. The plus to using Relive over Moments would be that you can change the encoder to HEVC which can offer better performance and less impact on lower-end GPUs and also saves space with smaller file sizes for clips.

Unfortunately there's no way to auto-disable/enable it when going from desktop to a game so you'd just have to disable it outright from the Moments tab in GG when you leave a game and reenable it again before you launch a game

At that point though a reinstall of the program might be easier and should fix the CPU usage bug since a restart isn't

from what we've seen this is also very unlikely to be linked to moments. the high CPU usage service was a core GG service, as opposed to a service that runs when moments does. I'd start with a restart and an uninstall/re-install and go from there. @deep harbor - if you are seeing it consistently, we'd like to try and work with you to pin it down!

Hi - yes it's best to set flat/default eqs in Engine and then set your eqs etc in Sonar. This ensures that there isnt duplicate processing of effects.

Sonar doesn't override the engine settings, but rather is in addition to. That's why setting engine to flat/default is needed.

Also Sonar is software based so is PC only. If you want to change your audio settings for console or on-the-go, then changing them in Engine that syncs them onto the headset is needed.

If you're referring to the standalone version, there is a link out there to the last solo version of Engine that doesn't have auto updates enabled. The downside is that if you have any of the newer products from about 2020 to now there's a good chance they won't be compatible. But if you're using a SteelSeries product from 2019 or before then it should be fine

The base moment files won't change length, if you want a trimmed file you should export the clip after trimming it

I mean, like, I have auto-clip on, so it starts recording when I start the game. sometimes I like to record my rhythm games, and when I mess up, I like wanna start the recorning from new, but then it's never the full level, because idk when the 1 min recorning starts, so I ask if I can control that somehow

When you save a video it resets the timer and starts a new period of recording with whatever time you've chosen

you can setup some redundancy by having it auto copy your moments folder to another file that you can manually clean out form time to time. That or you can have it go to google drive or onedrive or whatever else you want
