After updating to win 11 clips look like this. And when it capture gameplay it also make it stutter around every 10-15 second. Previously never had any issue and idea what might cause this ?

windows 11 is the biggest piece of ware i have ever had the displeasure of using and supporting. 800-1000 machines in my company and my laptop upgrade was one of the last ones to get it and its still the biggest pile ever.

BUT

if you did a win10 > win11 upgrade and not a fresh install of the OS and all the games/software, I would say try uninstalling and reinstalling the game and the GG software. verifying game files or running the software installer to repair things won't always do it

Does anyone know how to export all clips from moments? Because there is no export all button, and when I drag all the videos from the folder on my PC more than 50% of them have the wrong sound channel, so they don’t have sound or just random noises.

Got a moment issue. Somehow, it's unable to detect Diablo 4. It detects all of my other games, but Diablo 4. I've reinstalled both GG and Diablo 4 and nothing. The game is scanned, found, but never detected by moment. Anything I can do?

I had to uninstall then reinstall to the latest version and then re-setup my moments. Hopefully that fixes it for you too. I see they've added a chunk of new stuff

I finally fixed my moments autocapturing on apex. I can't say for certain, but i think uninstalling valorant and its anti cheat somehow conflicts with apex's and once I uninstalled valorant moments seem to autocapture again

If your Moments auto-clip isn't working but manual clips are, it’s probably because of your stretched resolution—it messes with the software's ability to 'see' the kill icons, so try switching to native resolution.

For it to see old clips perhaps the clip folder is set to a new one, check the settings and make sure it saves clips in the original folder you had

I don't know why but my 2nd screen is recognized as my main screen on Moment, and as a result, I have to manually change the screen each time because it is configured on the 2nd when I turn on my computer. how can I make sure I choose my main screen definitively please?

Hi, when I clip with Moments, my mic's volume is way louder than the rest, so I have to lower it to 10% to adjust it. But when I export or cut, it reverts to 100%, and the clips sound awful because of it.

Do I need to record my clip with OBS or something xD?

Not an answer, but I've been asking for help in this discord, in both this channel, opening a support ticket, the casual AND the community support. Been a week and nobody answered any of them. Just go find a different software to use at this point thats what I'm gonna end up doing unfortunately.

Ive noticed that too when Ive needed help in the past. The customer service is really lacking. Unfortunately, I really like their product. Sonar is amazing when it is working 98% of the time and the clipping is equally amazing since it captures the game audio, chat audio and my microphone audio all separately so I have full control over what I want in my clips. The only thing clipping is missing is being able to record entire constantly on a loop. I have to use Overwolf for that which is really bad.

If you know of any alternative app that can do some of this feel free to DM me. I am totally open to options

yeah man I just needed help removing the fade transition between clips in a montage, and cant even get help with that lol, I honestly dont know an alternative I heard medal (maybe metal) is good but I honestly dont know. For the clips you wanna remove the tag from, just leave an extra 5 seconds or so at the start of the clip, and after you share it you can cut off the extra 5 seconds with any video editor. I honestly dont understand the point of the watermark because its so easy to work around, its literally just there to be annoying lol

thats actually a pretty smart idea. though it would be easier to just trim the clip to the size you want and then export it instead of sharing it. that way you dont have to remove the beginning of the watermark in post editing.

also I dont have any fading issues with my clips. they dont fade in or out

i am also not aware of any montage editor function within the app

I honestly havent even tried exporting anything lol, just been using it to share clips to discord. I just have like 3-5 frames of a fade transition only when I make a montage of multiple clips. Looked online and everywhere says to just click the small blue diamond and it will give me transition settings but nothing comes up lol

but what I would do, even though the montage feature is fast and convenient, is to just export all the clips you have and put then in an editor and stitch the montage up yourself that way you can control the transitions. bc the clips alone do not fade.

Ive never used it but Microsoft Clip Champ seems like it could be a better way to make a montage the way you want

but maybe you cant do long form stuff there hence "clip" champ

I believe if you have an arctis headset it has two audio channels (communications and gameplay), which you can set your friends to the communications whilst keeping that communications audio output blank

Were you trying to clip during a match? Give is a try in Practice to see if it saves.

Give it a go in practice so they can determine if someone is preventing actual gameplay footage not being taken. If practice mode is also not clipping then it eliminates game modes being the issue.

After exploring around Moments for a few hours, this is a GREAT TOOL!
✅ Being able to sort Moments by game
✅ Hover over Moments to preview
✅ Easy to rename Moments
✅ Export functionality is impressive. I have not done any YouTube exports as the moments are set to 30 seconds only
✅ Crop tool for clips is easy to use
➖ I think this has been mentioned, but more variation with Moment duration would be great.

If you have a program like Voicemeeter Banana, you can choose which source it will record. Otherwise it's going to record whatever audio is playing through the same source as your game.

So I've discovered that Moments is clipping random moments of my Apex Games (which is probably why it isn't supported) and probably only truly works for the two games that are listed. Do we know when support for further games will be?

Moments supports many games with manual clips (ALT-S, or if you change it)

So Apex should work fine if you save a clip manually when in game

however, auto-clipping based on GameSense game events in real time is currently only supporting in CSGO and Dota 2.

we'll keep track of this....if folks are similar to yourself and turn off the monitor sleep, then we may need to introduce that earlier than planned

in the mean time, if you just made a temporary change in your windows power settings....you can set your monitor to sleep after 1 minute

you should get the update thereafter and then can turn it back off 🙂

If you want to force the update, I closed the app from the Windows Tray (right click on the icon next to your Windows clock and choose Exit or Close. Not sure what it says). Then re-open and you should get a notification to update.

I think they don't really take that route, since It will be compatible with last gen. At the other hand, I think they are aware of the hype behind the game and, if there would be bugs (even if this is gigantic game), people could be really unhappy with that, to say the least

I fully expect, that even after that delay, there will be bugs, because they would need army of testers to find them all, but I think they want to at least make the most important pieces of the game (and most common routes of playing) realtively bug free

Also, I'm trying to keep my expectations at low or realistic level, though it is a bit hard. Also as a side note/comedic relief, my gf can get the game again as a gift, because with original april launch date, she wanted to give me this game on my birthday 😄 This time, it will be Christmass gift

It is one of the newest additions to BFV, m3 infrared, basically, that UFO thingy makes scope milky, because there is no night maps in BFV 😄 (in standard modes)

I don't know much about davinci resolve (i mainly use premiere) but trying to match the original video clip resolution/frame-rate and all that jazz is the best

if there are still issues, then there might be an issue with the video codec of the original clip

although I don't believe moments exports clips in any funky codec

yeah especially if clips are from different people and downloaded with who knows what quality then if the davinci timeline/sequence is set to a higher quality and you bring in lower res clips, then those lower res clips will become REALLY low res in comparison

just has to do with quality/resolution. if you stretch out a low res clip to meet the resolution of a high res one, then the low res clip will lose quality and become "blocky"

You'll want to use the reso of the lowest one that you've got, or find somewhere in between to minimise artifacting

my thoughts on moments

This is a great app since people who use steelseries products will benefit since its a muuuuuuuccccchhhhhhh cooler looking engine compared to the last one. Its probably the best looking game engine currently our right now. Very simple to use and not glitchy. The only thing I would change would be adding a button that would tell you if there were updates and if you clicked it would update for you. The type of people that would use this other than the steelseries customers, would be people who have radeon graphics card or even nvidia. Since radeon doesn't have shadow play this is a better alternative. Even people with nvidia gpus would also use it since this has more features and is sorta of an all in one.

Artifacts are the blotches that you're seeing when playing back the video, probably seems worse in darker areas

i have to disagree with @gaunt haven about Engine design actually.
The previous app looks better to me (font and brightness are bad actually, and it looks like design is not finished, or with artifacts in letter design).
Since 0.3.0, Engine Works great; but colors are not good to show that kind of font especially with macros setup, it's unpleasant to read under these conditions.
Like him, i think an update button would be great.

I would like to say that i prefer Engine WITHOUT Moments actually.
The best way : select what you want exactly when installer is running.
i had too many issues with Moments to approve it for now.
Nothing personal, but Moments is not ready yet, that's all, and my english is not good enough to explain more in details.
But, what i love with that experience is friendly dev's : even if i'm french people, they tried to understand me and tell me what to do.
Can't wait to see an update for Moments to clip and break the rules 🙂

The design of engine is obviously the same, except colors and font. Actually there is something wrong with font; it's a little thing, but people with eye problems might have issues with that (font is too thin and blurred).
But, with GG software (main menu), it's more comfortable, until you go in engine setup.
I know it's not a big problem, but font needs to be clean, especially with macro setup.
Anyway I prefer this software than other brands: you find what you want so easily. It's just a comfort and a design improvement to be the best app after that.

the style/colors/etc in device pages may be messed up and broken in moments build due to wider changes done in it. they're not a focus in these builds at the moment but please feel free to report them if you see them

Because for some reason (I’ve always had this issue it’s not new) the Button 6 just doesn’t work in any games or apps to set as a keybind. So I have profiles for games that have it set to act as the F23 key or just be set to a macro.
