you can set it up for either, personally i like to manually save clips so once i get a good kill streak, I click Alt+S to save a clip within the past 5 minutes

I fixed mine, it's just not supported. Make sure to run SS GG as Admin (maybe your game) & use the "Display Capture" key. or whatever it was. Then press it again to stop. You can make clips while doing the capture & sometimes it will then auto detect it again. 👍

Not sure which update caused it but for a couple months now I've been experiencing minor to severe lag in my recordings based on my quality settings. I've only tested at 720p. With 60 FPS at High video quality the audio is completely out of sync with the video and it often records the wrong "moment" i.e. it's set to record the past 2 minutes but it will instead record 2 minutes of gameplay from longer than 2 minutes ago. With 60 FPS at Medium video quality the audio is in sync but the video will have frequent brief hiccups of lag. With recording set to 30 FPS there don't seem to be any issues but I want to be able to record at 60 FPS.

I'd like to reinstall SteelSeries GG, but will doing so delete my clips? I know I might still have access to them in a videos folder, but what I'm mainly asking is, if I reinstall the software, will it "forget" that I had previous clips? Will I have to start over from zero?

For context - I'm having this strange problem that SteelSeries GG "Core" or "Engine" will use 85-90% of my CPU, and it's impacting every game I play. I figured I would want to try reinstalling, but I don't want to lose access to any of my previous clips.

A friend of mine ran this experiment, he saved a clip to see what would happen after uninstalling and reinstalling GG. He claims the clip was reserved, but its edits (title, crop, audio balancing) was not saved. Now I'm nervous to do this myself because I have a LOT of clips, each of which having a unique title and balance of audio.

Surely, there's gotta be an easier way to solve my high CPU problem than reinstalling?

Temporary workaround - I'm gonna try to limit the amount of CPU cores "SteelSeriesEngine.exe" uses, as it's the MAIN issue for my setup so far. Problem - Help, SteelSeries GG Core = Too Much CPU usage and idk why
Current Solution - "Set Affinity" via Task Manager, limit CPU usage
Issue - Setting Affinity must be done for EVERY time you run GG.

I found an even better fix, I should have used this the first time. I can set the Priority to Low on the GG Core.

It seems to work well, and WAY better than the Affinity thing.

Doesn't change the high CPU usage, but it at least makes way for the games, that way it's only taking whatever's the remaining CPU (from what I'm seeing).

And I'm strangely okay with this.

Yeah I clipped some BeamMP last night and moments took awhile to register that I clipped the game. Out of like the 5 or 6 times I pressed my keybind, it only beeped twice. To make matters worse, only one of the clips popped up but I couldn't share it. It then suddenly vanished. Today I hop on to see if maybe the clips came back, and now it just shows this saying it's straight up turned off.

they're in the same files and saved as different audio tracks, but most video playback apps like VLC or the windows media player only play one track at a time, so it'll just play the game audio. in VLC you can switch which audio track you're listening to in the audio settings

The lights from F1 to F8 are blinking, they do not light up like the other letters, and the numbers 1, 2 and 3 under the F keys are the same, not like the other letters, they are blinking. I've been using their stuff for almost ten years, long before I joined the server here or became a mod. And the reason I've been using their stuff for so long is because it works for me. Nothing works perfectly 100% of the time and I've never encountered a big enough issue with either their hardware or software that made me rethink supporting them and their products

That being said, I did beta test it and used it a lot when it first got its full release and it has taken...awhile for it to have any kind of relatability in actually recording what you want recorded

yeah so the problem is in two parts:

• since discord is set to output directly to the headphones, it's bypassing Sonar, so it'll bypass the Chat device. you should probably set the output device in discord to "Chat"
• since Moments is set to record the headset audio directly, it'll record everything you hear in your headset, including Aux. It's best to set it to default or the "Game" output

No. The clips are stored on your PC's hardrive so they won't be deleted until you manually delete them. They won't be affected if you unstall GG

Do u have problem with capturing League of Legends? My clips audio are WAYYY delayed and video is also capturing so much time behind I click bind to capture video
For simpler explainitation I clicked key to record video at 12:35 on the time of the game (I have 30s record) and audio is delayed comparasion to the video and also with video is recorded at 11:20 - 11:50 and not at 12:05 to 12:35

I do not know if this has been suggested before but... how about custom events for auto clipping in CS2. Headshots happen too often and knife kills are few. At the moment the only one viable is the 3+ kills in a round. How about 4+ kills or just ACEs. Or how about 3+ 4+ or ACEs with just headshots, nade kills, direct impact grenade kills, kills through smoke, kills while flashed.
