#

Right

ruby forge
#

didnt know that

errant vigil
#

Yeah

raw marsh
#

no, you still need fans on the rad, if anything the pump has capacity to make more noise

ruby forge
#

I heard you guys talking about separate cooling?

#

then what do I do here..

crimson scroll
#

mostly aesthetic at your price range

#

and if you want to worry about leaks

errant vigil
#

Well I prefer Noctua fans, though expensive Linus tech tips approves them lol

#

I’m a performance guy not really aesthetic

ruby forge
#

yeah not risking leaks

#

so

#

air fans it is

raw marsh
errant vigil
#

Yeahs it’s not all that bad just the potential is there

ruby forge
#

Theres always a chance

#

a chance for me to lose 1.8k

errant vigil
#

Probably even with your fans stopping working

ruby forge
#

ok ok

#

Has that happend to you guys?

#

Fans stop?

#

Water leaks?

raw marsh
#

nope

#

nope

errant vigil
#

Just get new fans

#

They’re like 10 bucks

#

At least til you can get a new on

ruby forge
#

wait fans aren't 40$

errant vigil
ruby forge
#

here's my rough estimate of a list

crimson scroll
#

you can get good noctuas for $25

#

the only fans that cost $40 are overpriced rgb ones

ruby forge
#

So would this be accurate spending?
CPU-230
GPU-660
RAM-90
Storage-140
Cooling-80
Case-110
Power supply-85
Motherboard-210

errant vigil
#

I literally masking taped 2 fans together and screwed them in over my cpu til I got a new cooler

ruby forge
#

that is my rough list

errant vigil
#

It’s actually worked ok

ruby forge
#

as saucy called it a rough draft

#

so

raw marsh
ruby forge
#

that's what I'm guessing I'd spend on each

errant vigil
ruby forge
#

ah I see

ruby forge
#

I have a wired connection anyways

errant vigil
#

Yeah you could cut down on the prices in some areas and I’d throw the rest into your GPU

ruby forge
#

That's what others said

errant vigil
#

Just my GPU and CPU alone for my build is around 1600~1800

ruby forge
#

So what motherboard brands do you guys reccomend?

raw marsh
#

just start by seeing what gpu you can realistically get

errant vigil
#

Everything else is like 70 bucks or less in my build

crimson scroll
#

every company has good and bad products

ruby forge
#

I'm using PCPartPicker

#

so uh

ruby forge
#

I see

#

asus is a big brand

crimson scroll
#

brand loyalty is a bad idea

raw marsh
#

they all are

ruby forge
#

I saw as its everywhere

#

so for cooling air fans are fine?

crimson scroll
#

all fans are "air fans"

ruby forge
#

I suppose

#

fans

#

are fans fine for cooling

crimson scroll
#

air cooling is what we call it

raw marsh
ruby forge
#

whatcha mean?

raw marsh
#

there is no alternative

crimson scroll
#

you need to separate fans and the actual cooler

ruby forge
#

uh

crimson scroll
#

there are fans in an air cooler

#

but the air cooler isn't just fans

ruby forge
#

What should a fans rpm be?

crimson scroll
#

this is the same question as the cpu cores and clock speed

#

don't worry about the specs

#

worry about the performance

ruby forge
#

but I dont want my pc sounding like a nascar race

#

okay how about the decibels

#

how much sound should it make

crimson scroll
#

every company tests using a different method

#

so their volume readings will be different

#

use reviews

#

don't go by just the specs on the box

errant vigil
#

Usually if you’re using a headset you won’t hear the sounds like 98% of the time

ruby forge
#

cooler master hyper 212 rgb black edition seems good

errant vigil
#

Especially over most games

errant vigil
#

Reviews say it’s decent

#

RGB isn’t the best but it’s a good cooler

ruby forge
#

What parts of my build should be rgb?

errant vigil
#

I’d say use the software SignalRGB too

errant vigil
ruby forge
#

because I want my pc looking like Ryan Reynolds

raw marsh
errant vigil
#

And some motherboards though that’s rare

raw marsh
#

RGB PSU harold

errant vigil
#

I think they’re called CX-M models

#

I might be wrong but u think CX is in the name

ruby forge
#

PSU is power supply right

errant vigil
#

Yeah

ruby forge
#

that totally wasn't a fat guess

errant vigil
#

Haha

ruby forge
#

165$ fans

#

corsair has never seemed to impress me with the overpricing

errant vigil
#

Btw according to LTT there isn’t much of a difference between air cooling and water cooling though water cooling is sometimes more efficient if set up correctly

errant vigil
ruby forge
#

would YouTube help me set up correctly?

crimson scroll
#

water cooling has higher cooling potential

errant vigil
errant vigil
ruby forge
#

because if you think I'm good to set up all this without an old dude with a bobcut telling what to do

#

then I can call you a comedian

errant vigil
ruby forge
#

why does everyone shit on carters pc

#

is he like a scammer or something

raw marsh
#

who tf is he

ruby forge
#

a guy

#

who

#

likes pcs...?

#

anyways what should I spend on a cooler with an 1800 budget

gaunt bloom
#

I’m rockin a Corsair H150i. 360mm rad. Push pull. It’s a sweet setup.

ruby forge
#

165?I dunno

gaunt bloom
#

You can roll a 240mm, whatever. I just knew I was going to be putting a lot of watts through my processor and wanted the extra surface area.

scenic junco
scenic junco
scenic junco
errant vigil
#

I’ve never seen it

#

But then again I don’t look for it sooooo

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

Cooler master okay?

errant vigil
scenic junco
errant vigil
#

I mean there is a light on it lol

ruby forge
#

Is the air cooler good?

#

I mean the cooler master

scenic junco
#

Not really

ruby forge
#

then what did I do

#

I have an 1800 budget

#

cant spend 150 on just fans

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

uhh not really

#

graphics cards my importance

scenic junco
#

I spent 160 on an ek aio on a 1500 budget

ruby forge
#

I want a gaming pc that runs great and gives me good eyecandy

scenic junco
#

You need a cooler that isnt shit or everything else is kinda useless if it overheats in 20 minutes

ruby forge
#

so what's good

white sequoia
#

Arctic makes great coolers

#

Anti eye candy: noctua

ruby forge
#

rgb?

raw marsh
#

No

ruby forge
#

artic doesn't have rgb?

queen violet
#

NZXT makes good rgb coolers

#

It doesn’t look tacky like most coolers do

raw marsh
ruby forge
#

so artic or nzxt?

white sequoia
#

I generally avoid rgb on pc parts because they all use random unrelated softwares

raw marsh
#

pref1pref2pref3

ruby forge
#

didnt know that

white sequoia
#

Or they use icue

ruby forge
#

so what do I do if I want rgb?

white sequoia
#

Get rgb stuff and use the software

ruby forge
#

the...software?

#

you lost me haha

raw marsh
#

Yes, the respective software for the RGB products

white sequoia
#

SS has engine, the other products have their own

#

Open rgb or signal can be good, but their compatibility isnt super good

ruby forge
#

but they use unrelated software?

white sequoia
#

Multiple brands, multiple software

ruby forge
#

do they work together?

white sequoia
#

Yeah, but now u have multiple different apps running

ruby forge
#

so do I buy rgb products of the same brand?

white sequoia
#

U can

raw marsh
white sequoia
#

If all u have for rgb is fans, then use the same brand of fans

ruby forge
#

isn't that my only option to make it collab together

white sequoia
#

That or openrgb

#

Or signal

ruby forge
#

what do those do

white sequoia
#

They are reverse engineered versions of the software that can talk with multiple brands of rgb stuff

ruby forge
#

So would that work while not running the apps on my pc?

white sequoia
#

It can

ruby forge
#

Any issues?

white sequoia
#

Depends on the product

#

Some are not supported

#

Just look up if the products are supported

ruby forge
#

Oh okay

#

Openrgbs an app right?

raw marsh
#

Yes

ruby forge
#

Okay,

#

Should I spend extra 20$ on arctic 360 instead of 240?

crimson scroll
#

generally the 280 is more worth it

#

very close in volume to the 360, cheaper

raw marsh
ruby forge
#

116 for the 280

#

so I will probably do that

#

nvm

#

doesn't work with openrgb

#

now that I think about

#

what pc parts show the actual rgb

#

like make the case shine of the color

scenic junco
scenic junco
ruby forge
#

does that work better?

scenic junco
#

Yes

#

Also get msi afterburner

#

And set a custom fan curve when you have time

ruby forge
#

the fan seems loud

scenic junco
#

Then set a curve

ruby forge
#

36dbs for an ek

scenic junco
#

Yea…and?

#

I also have a mesh case, its not that loud if you set a curve

ruby forge
#

what's a curve?

scenic junco
#

Its 36 at max output

ruby forge
#

never had a pc before

#

ever

scenic junco
#

Google it

#

Ill help you but im not gonna spoonfeed you

ruby forge
#

oh I see

white sequoia
#

A curve is what temperature values result in what fan speed

#

A curve of how when the fans ramp up

scenic junco
#

Set a custom one and ull be fine

ruby forge
#

So what's more compatible with signalrgb?Arctic or EK

scenic junco
#

Both

#

Only thing is that ek is half the price of arctic

#

The arctic freezer 360 at least

#

Or around half, idk things may have changed in the six months since i bought my ek

white sequoia
#

If u r using an i5 or a ryzen 5, then a 360 is kinda overkill

ruby forge
#

not a single ek product isn't watercooler or fits my cpu

ruby forge
#

the latch on my cpu is 1200

white sequoia
#

It will fit

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

in filters it says otherwise

white sequoia
#

LGA 1200 is a common socket

scenic junco
#

Anyway, im gonna go to the beach so cya

ruby forge
#

alr

ruby forge
#

and I'm wanting air cooled

#

so i suppose arctic

scenic junco
#

Arctic is water too

#

If you want good air cooling get noctua (theyre ugly asf tho)

#

Now i leave

white sequoia
#

Ohhhhhh

#

Arctic does air cooling

#

Noctua is good, but NOT eye candy

ruby forge
#

Corsair seems good

scenic junco
#

I keep getting notis

ruby forge
#

Does the radiator size matter at all?

white sequoia
#

Corsair is kinda overpriced

scenic junco
#

And no, corsair sux ass

white sequoia
ruby forge
#

yup

scenic junco
white sequoia
#

Air cooling has no radiator

#

It uses a heatsink

scenic junco
#

Air cooling uses fans and a heatsink

ruby forge
#

oh forgot the filter then

#

mb

#

3 products that look like they came out of a hippies ass

#

no thanks

#

Arctic then?

#

or is that bad too.

scenic junco
#

Noctua is great but ugly

ruby forge
#

yeah noctua is off my list

#

stuck in the 80s

scenic junco
#

Arctic makes p good stuff, but id still recommend water cooling

ruby forge
#

1980s I mean

#

but someone told me water cooling could leak

#

and I'd have a better chance replacing broken air fans then a broken pc

white sequoia
#

Noctua is top quality

scenic junco
#

Theyre both wrong and stupid

crimson scroll
#

ahem.

ruby forge
#

What a coincidence

scenic junco
#

If its you then my statement continues, idrc

crimson scroll
#

it's not wrong that water cooling can leak

scenic junco
#

Unlikely

crimson scroll
#

it's on the list of pros and cons when you compare it to air cooling

scenic junco
#

It happens sure

crimson scroll
#

unlikely, yes

scenic junco
#

But very unlikely

crimson scroll
#

but it's definitely a consideration

#

even if it doesn't leak

ruby forge
#

my luck is extremely bad

scenic junco
#

Especially with commercial systems and not custom loops

crimson scroll
#

more points of failure

ruby forge
#

air is my friend

crimson scroll
#

the pump can fail

#

the impeller could fail

scenic junco
#

Just dont buy crap

#

Ek and arctic have amazing track records

white sequoia
#

Air cooling is easier for a first time builder

crimson scroll
#

even if you buy a good cooler, statistics say you might get a bad one

#

i'm aware ek and arctic are good

#

i've recommended them in the past

scenic junco
crimson scroll
#

i mean

#

it is

scenic junco
#

Saucy, has anyone ever told you you’re a troglodyte?

crimson scroll
#

have you read the rules?

crimson scroll
#

you should take a chill pill

scenic junco
#

Yknow, if he wants to buy some shitass cooling, no skin off my back

ruby forge
#

I dont even know wtf is good or bad

#

so I ask here

#

12 different opinions

scenic junco
#

I answered

ruby forge
#

12 different answers

#

12 different statements

#

all being noticed

#

I'd prefer air

#

So my pc doesn't become a fucking firefighter

scenic junco
#

Most [intellegent] people agree that water is superior

ruby forge
#

and get sprayed in water

#

Okay

crimson scroll
#

it depends

ruby forge
#

I'm looking for air as it wont cause my pc to shutdown

crimson scroll
#

does it have a higher capacity to cool? yes

#

does it matter at a certain level of heat? no

#

i've literally said it myself

#

both have their pros and cons

#

and i'm warning you a second time, cut out the snide insults

ruby forge
#

How many fans should I have?

#

Finally decided to use the Arctic freezer 34 esports duo cpu cooler

crimson scroll
#

how much

ruby forge
#

40$

crimson scroll
#

eh

ruby forge
#

I've been looking for an hour for a good one

#

I have had many opinions

#

and I dont wanna use water

#

so unless there is a better brand then arctic

#

I'm sticking with arctic

#

So how many fans do I need?

crimson scroll
#

you could slap a dark rock pro 4 on your cpu

#

or an nh d15

ruby forge
#

the hell's that

crimson scroll
#

coolers

#

more expensive, much better

#

if you overclock your cpu you'll want the headroom

ruby forge
#

headroom?

crimson scroll
#

extra cooling potential

ruby forge
#

ah

#

so should I use fans or the cpu cover thing

#

and don't I need to buy multiple fans for my pc?

crimson scroll
#

what do you mean "cpu cover thing"

ruby forge
#

The dark rock

crimson scroll
#

both air cooling and water cooling use fans

ruby forge
#

Or the

#

Nh d15

crimson scroll
#

depends on which one you like more and is cheaper

#

they're pretty similar

ruby forge
#

do they come with rgb?

crimson scroll
#

no

ruby forge
#

uh

#

Ok

#

So wouldn't it be cheaper to buy this then a fan?

#

I thought pcs needed 3 fans

#

atleast

#

Thats what google told me

crimson scroll
#

it really depends

ruby forge
#

what does it depend

crimson scroll
#

on what case you have

#

what cooler you have

#

my pc only has two case fans

ruby forge
#

the cooler is the fans on the app you gave me

#

I'm so confused

crimson scroll
#

i'm gonna reiterate this again

#

cpu coolers are not fans

#

they have fans

ruby forge
#

I ser

crimson scroll
#

you can't use the terms interchangeably

ruby forge
#

see

#

So

#

What would be better?

#

The dark rock and the NH

#

Or the Arctic

crimson scroll
#

performance wise, the dark rock pro 4 and nh d15 are very similar

#

the arctic freezer esports duo is far behind those two

ruby forge
#

so I should cholse either the dark rock and nh

crimson scroll
#

in my opinion the esports duo won't be a good choice for a 11600k

#

not if you want to overclock

ruby forge
#

in which I do want to overclock

#

So

#

between the dark rock and nh

ruby forge
#

as long as they aren't over 100 I'm fine

#

chose the dark rock

#

alright

#

now for the motherboard

#

google tells me to spend 300

#

I dont think I can spend 300

#

Asus or Arock are my choices

#

Is there a way not to include the wifi inside?

#

I have a wired connection

scenic junco
#

Good for wired connection

ruby forge
#

does a motherboard price inheritantly matter?

scenic junco
#

Not entirely

#

Like obv stay away from a $30 one

ruby forge
#

How much should I spend on a motherboard?

scenic junco
#

But specs matter more than price

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

uhh

scenic junco
#

What kind of specs are you going for? What socket? What cpu? How many m.2 slots, etc

ruby forge
#

Does motherboard matter on Cpu?

scenic junco
#

Well yes

ruby forge
#

Specs?Beautiful while running 120+ fps

scenic junco
#

That is not what i was asking

ruby forge
#

Uh

#

what were you asking then

ruby forge
#

Ahh

scenic junco
#

How many m.2 slots, what kind of socket and cpu compatibility, etc

ruby forge
#

My cpu is the 11600k

#

And the rest I dunno

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

yes

scenic junco
#

So you have the cpu?

#

/have bought it?

ruby forge
#

no

#

but it's the basis I'm starting with

#

And I'm keeping the cpu the same

scenic junco
#

You can save on cooler if you go ams

#

Amd*

ruby forge
#

I'll keep intel

scenic junco
#

If you say so

ruby forge
#

I prefer it anyways

#

Especially that gen

#

Only 230 too

scenic junco
#

I believe the b550 has an lga 1200 version (i could be mistaken)

#

If so id get that

ruby forge
#

B550?

scenic junco
#

The b550-f gaming from asus

#

Its what im currently running in my build

ruby forge
#

How much is it?

scenic junco
#

The picture i sent earlier was an old one

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

I thought you were talking about cpu...haha

scenic junco
#

Oh lol

ruby forge
#

Yeah I'm down with the ASUS

scenic junco
#

Assuming it has lga1200 compatibility

ruby forge
#

Trying to figure how much I should spend on the motherboard though

scenic junco
#

Which i cant say for sure

scenic junco
#

I like the b550 because it has good temp controllers, 2 m.2 slots and is perfect for my cpu

ruby forge
#

My build with my cpu and cooling is 319

scenic junco
ruby forge
#

CPU and cooling

scenic junco
#

Ok

#

Do you know what you want for anything else?

#

Case, psu, ram, gpu, etc?

#

If not, id recommend watching gamers nexus airflow case ranking list, its very good for cases

#

Id recommend at least 16gb of ram

#

But thats pretty standard

ruby forge
#

Alr

scenic junco
#

Im running 64 rn, looking to bump it up to 128 when my quadro comes in

ruby forge
#

64 what?

scenic junco
#

Gb of ram…

ruby forge
#

Does the chipset matter?

white sequoia
#

A little bit

#

It specifies its upgrade path

#

At least for amd

compact bobcat

Hello everyone! very new to the PC community! I've always been a console gamer but it was steel Series that turned my eye to PC gaming. I'm looking forward to building my first PC and hope this server can be of some help down the line.

#

I have Steel Series PRO wireless. and the Steelseries bundle pack (didn't read the description and got a 2nd pair of headsets.)

white sequoia

The price on the gpu hurt my soul

white sequoia

Good idea

white sequoia

They are all high

That 1650 is at the msrp of a 3060

oh damn

white sequoia

At least it isnt even higher

next kayak

how much would the normal price be

oh damn

i still have like a couple hundre of working space in my budget

what would be a better gpu

here is my build

Ive seen it

Imo ure cutting it close with a 550, id go for 650 but thats just me

next kayak
#

what do you mean cutting it close

ruby forge
#

For a beginner should I choose intel or amd for my cpu?

crimson scroll
#

no difference

ruby forge
#

I'm stuck on the chipset and intel doesn't tell me

#

apparently amd does

Nvm figured it out

#

The question now is

#

MSI,Gigabyte,Assrock or Asus

#

I'm guessing its preference again?

i don't know anything sorry

raw marsh

and price

ruby forge
#

how much should I spend on a motherboard?

raw marsh

I can't tell you that

ruby forge

idk what's good or bad

I have 1800 to work with

And?

next kayak

My estimate outpuy is 30p

300

scenic junco

Thats always on the low end

Plus then you have no expansion room, and a 650 is like $20 more

But 1660 is like 6gb

1650

Is like 4gb

Hey y’all I’m too lazy to look
Think I have enough wattage to upgrade my ram if I have a Cx550,
Ryzen 7 5800x
EVGA 2070 super
Ripjaws 2x8

#

I wanna add corsairs RGB ram (2x8) to my build

crimson scroll
#

Reasonable 3200cl16 ram should draw like 2.5 to 3 watts per 8gb

#

It's really not a big deal and shouldn't be factored that much into power supply choice

#

Also I'd recommend using the same sticks of ram in a system, otherwise it'll run at the lowest rated speeds!/loosest timings

fallow spade
#

I rate crucial ballistix, you can get 3600 CL16 which seems to be the accepted ideal price-performance for a very reasonable price

white sequoia
#

Crucial is my preffered memory brand

Crucial or G.Skill are my go to

white sequoia

Crucial has good non rgb options

scenic junco

Crucial is probably my go to for non rgb as well

So lets say you should wait a bit more since you can see off this that GPU are during the Bitcoin event overpriced

crimson scroll

Why a 3800x for gaming

The ram isn't great, that motherboard has bad vrms and would not be good with the 3800x, and the ssd is a bit overpriced

dusty peak
# mortal crown I might upgrade it

I would take it in a heart beat. She might not be the best out there right now, but a little loving (and of course some money) you can add a lot of performance. First thing to find out is if there is a PCI-E slot, so that a graphics card can be added in the future. If it can, then you're on the right track for a very upgradeable system. Now you mentioned that is has an Intel i5 650. This same motherboard should be able to plug and play with a i7-870 off of eBay. This should net you roughly 40% more processing power for less than $30USD. Be sure that if you upgrade your processor, you upgrade cooling as well to tame the 95 Watts of thermal energy this processor will make. RAM should be an easy upgrade as well, just be sure you buy DDR3, and the i5-650 nor i7-870 will support more than 16Gb of RAM so don't bother. Other than that, before you add a graphics card, make sure your power supply can handle the extra watts. And that's pretty much all the advice I can give.

#

Also my brain completely discarded the fact that you said it had an ATI Radeon HD 5570. This is good, since it means you have a slot for a better graphics card. For your use case, I would probably recommend a 1050, if it is a low profile case, you may have to purchase a low profile card. Basically if you have any further questions, about upgrading, I'm sure I could help you with ideas and part lists.

mortal crown
#

Oh damn

white sequoia
#

I doubt an i7 1st gen meets gta V minimum reqs

#

Or maybe even roblox

jade rapids
#

in terms of i7s I recently upgraded a PC from a 4th gen because it was getting sluggish for everyday use. Worked just fine for games released 10-15 years ago (Civilizations, NFS Underground 2, etc) back when that processor was considered decent but for new stuff it would struggle on even medium-low settings.

If you're going to upgrade at all try and go for at least 7th-8th gen or newer, they're still not perfect for new stuff but they'll certainly run. I run 9th gen on my current rig and it's just fine for pretty much everything, mind you I don't play the newest stuff but I can still run heavier titles like the MCC at 1080p on High or Ultra (I never bothered with 4k screens).

jade rapids
# mortal crown I might upgrade it

what you need to ask yourself is whether or not the case, hard drive and (maybe) power supply are worth €80 to you, because chances are if you upgrade you'll pretty much be replacing everything else. GPU might hold out for a while but it's old enough you'll be wanting a new one pretty quick.

dusty peak
# white sequoia Or maybe even roblox

I did a quick check on a benchmark for the i7-870 on GTAV. You have to realize GTAV came out in September of 2013 and was meant to be played on the XBox360. With that said, the i7-870 totally kills the benchmark and with the benchmarkers 780ti on the test bench he was able to get a solid 75-80 FPS. Nothing ground breaking, but for a few hundred bucks, being able to get into pc gaming at all with the market right now is pretty compelling.

dusty peak
# jade rapids what you need to ask yourself is whether or not the case, hard drive and (maybe)...

I get what you're saying about going with a newer gen CPU and this makes sense except for the part about holding off on the GPU. The integrated graphics (VEGA 11) on the Ryzen 3400G outperform the Radeon HD 5570 by an astounding 298%!! So if LCN was to get a new CPU AND Motherboard, he may as well get an AM4 board that is Gen 3 compatible and play on integrated graphics. Just leave out the GPU entirely until the market, or the wallet, are feeling a little better. ( no offense on the wallet thing, all of our wallets hurt from the gpu crisis )

dusty peak
# mortal crown Oh damn

Which by the way, I do have experience playing many games on an APU (Ryzen 3400G) and it is a fairly cheap way to get into PC Gaming. More demanding titles like Rust, I had to scale down to 720x1280 in order to get 40 FPS, but things like GTAV and Roblox should be easy easy

jade rapids
#

I meant that the GPU would work for gaming for a while, not that they should hold off on getting one. But I agree, integrated graphics on a newer cpu would probably outdo it pretty easily

dusty peak
#

That GPU will absolutely not enjoy GTAV

jade rapids
#

Probably not but better than nothing

dusty peak
#

Okay benchmarks in GTAV on the 5770 with an unknown CPU show FPS from 45-55. I mean its playable, but I wouldn't call it enjoyable.

#

But it is cheap, and cheap is nice.

#

Well I think no doubt if @mortal crown is looking for the absolute best price to performance, Buying the PC, a 30$ CPU, thermal paste, and a better cooler, is something capable of mild gaming and coding, for pretty dang cheap. I'd go for it.
