Oled burn in was a big issue with first gen panels

Second improved it decently and third gen doesn't get burn in within a long term period under normal usage

Even without any protection features inplace

Foruth gen panels (the most common type you'll find atm) normally will come stacked to the top with protection features and appear to be extremely difficult to burn in

Partly because pixel shift (a protection feature) is forced on for all models afaik, so even when people have tried intentionally burning them in they just refuse

Finally finished building / upgrading my PC, but honestly… I’m not that happy with it right now.

Specs-wise everything should be great, yet in Valorant I’m only getting around 250-300 FPS, which feels underwhelming for this setup.

I’m running 64 GB (2×32) Kingston Fury 3200 MHz DDR4. I did think about going DDR5, but the upgrade cost is just too high at the moment, so I’m kind of stuck on DDR4 for now.

On top of that, SteelSeries GG Engine is causing kernel errors, which is really killing the experience and making things even more frustrating.

At this point the system is powerful on paper, but not performing the way I expected in practice.

Any advice?

For 1700 sockets, if you are highly important to gaming when using DDR5 RAM, I recommend Ryzen's CPU number 9000. I don't know your budget, but for gaming products, CPUs with X3D are the best.

If you use DDR4 RAM, you can only go to i9 out of the 14 generations of Intel that you can upgrade to 1700 socket. If you choose i9, you have to install a water-cooled cooler semi-compulsively
