5070 is 500

So probably 1050ish in total off of the top of my head

Maybe you could get 9070 or 4070 for a little cheaper if you absolutely need to budget to 1k

both of those configurations are so close together in performance it may as well be the same thing

personally I'd opt with 2 though, just because I hate the 5080s existence when the 5070TI is the same thing for $250 less

but if you play in 4K then that 12%+ from the 5080 would make a difference

its basically the same story with both CPUs

if you need as high as possible FPS then sure the 9800X3D is it but the 7800X3D is not exactly a different tier of CPU class

both of the cards and the cpus are basically so close together you wouldn't notice the difference between each system if they were both in front of you

I would say if you have the money just get the better parts together and if you want to save a couple hundred dollars then get the ever so slightly weaker parts together

I'd recommend a GTX 1650/1660 (Super/Ti variants are good) and a Ryzen 5 2600/3600 (X variants are good), plus 16GB of RAM. You can probably get those parts super cheap second-hand from eBay and that setup will run loads of modern games at 100+ FPS on 1080p. Good luck, kid.

First of all, the 7900XTX product is superior, but the 9070XT has the advantage of being one generation younger processor.

And 7900XTX is a product that tends to be workers

I don't know what you're going to do or play games with your computer, but I think it's better to buy an NVIDIA graphics card if possible. In my personal opinion. Because Radeon cannot keep up with NVIDIA's compatibility with Cudacore.

And the relative position of the 9070XT is 5070ti, and the 7900XTX deals with 4090, so even if one generation of 7900XTX is old, it performs better than the 9070XT

Not really, no. IMO you're better off keeping the 8700K as a backup in the event the 8600K dies.

Personally I just view it as work with the potential to break something for no real benefit.. The freshness of a CPU doesnt impact performance typically unless it's been damaged. If you plan on upgrading anyway then I'd say there is even less reason to do that as in that case you're better off probably just selling the 8700K which when it comes to resale the freshness definitely matters there.

Intel 14nm which is what coffee lake is based off of is basically invincible, people have ran 1.4V on 4790ks for a decade with no signs of degradation

Performance difference is actually considerably better since ht is so strong in certain stuff

If you want better raw performance and value for you bucks, go with AMD Radeon 7900 XTX
If you want a less powerfull GPU but that has slighty better upscale quality and slighty better frame generation go with Nvidia.
Notice tho that Nvidia is slighty better when it comes to editing videos, encoding and obv AI stuff (even tho you don't care about this last one).

Maybe per chance you have the wrong type of ram, ddr4 vs ddr3, or even 5? Also make sure the notch lines up, and it's best to fill slots 2, then 4, and if you have enough later, 1, then 3. , then you can have dual channel mode and operate at best preformance because 2, 4, and 1, 3 are sets of themselves so they work better together, and in order.

youre not using any sata devices so you can just remove the bottom sata power cables if you want

or just leave them in if its easier

your board might automatically use a silent curve preset. when you power on and get into your BIOS, are your fans present? does it have any reported RPM? you could try manually changing your fan curve if you want

Or does it boot to bios at all in the first place, if it's not booting to bios then can't change the fan curve. So that wouldnt be issue

Nah nothing is plugged in except what ya see I have no usb rn waiting for my roommate to hopefully get one after work

Only things plugged in is the system fans system fan 1 2 3 4 all 4 I believe the cpu cooler in the cpu fan the led for it is out of the mother board rn video card plugged in the cpu cords plugged in the f panel in

And my friend said most likely I need to download bios

Honestly the best way to have decent cable management is to first have a psu that has braided cables, they look nicer and are much easier to manage

Fair enough, cable extensions or cable mod sets are very expensive, that’s why when I bought my new psu I made sure it came with the nice sleeved cables

you can just buy used lian li strimers or whatever

and just use the rgb

theyre nothing special. just white cable extensions and a big RGB strip you clip on.

just clip the rgb strip onto your own cables

the 6 + 2 was plugged into the gpu and the normal x8 was plugged into the psu
