any pcie one works, AX210 preferably but realistically doesnt matter all too much as wifi is wifi.
USB ones exist if you cant use a pcie card. fwiw a lot of the arms on the cheaper usbs are usually just fake and dont actually do anything

I was referring to an internal PCIe one, yeah. Might have to pull my GPU temporarily to install it because 3070 FE is not a small card, but that's easy to do.

Of course, that also depends on how they interact with PCIe slots.

So I got a few options

I have a triple monitor system, the middle being my main ofc and its a 3440x1440p, I recently upgraded to a 850w psu and a 5070ti from a 3060 12gb, I use a 5600x currently, would upgrading to a 5800xt or 5700x3d warrant the additional 200cad cost just for a 10% performance uplift in some situations or would it be better to spend $600cad on upgrading to am5 which means new cpu, new mobo and new 64gb of ram, or do you think I would be better off with my 5600x and not upgrading until the future? I play War Thunder and modded Minecraft.

I just need opinions, not looking for the all knowing person to answer ofc, getting answers from multiple people

TPU doesnt test UW 1440p so theres no exact comparisons between the CPUs, but looking at 1440p and 4K results the difference between those CPUs at higher resolutions is pretty small (on average based on TPUs results, anyway).
IMO, i would just stick to the 5600X unless you just fancy upgrading, in which case do whatever.
i dont think moving to AM5 would be worth it considering the 5600X -> 7600/X isnt a crazy increase in performance, less than 10% on average in both 1440p and 4K results.

if you could get a 5700X3D for cheaper than 200CAD then you could go for that if you wanted though 🤷‍♂️

you are right laptop cpu and gpu are nerferd / undervolted but its not necessary that they run on 90C average laptops cooling system arent that much ineffective if its running on 90C you should go to a service center. And it is always recommended to use laptop with the charger.

imagine you have a 300w your original laptop charger. the amount of the power laptop takes from is based on what you are doing

if its idle it will take like 0-50 w or something

if you are playing AAA titles you laptop may ask your charger to provide 300w so the charger will provide 300w

but if your laptop is like asking for 310 watts your charger will not be able not provide htat because 300w is its maximum capacity

You would have to define "fps performance" and what game

Though as a baseline its going to be any gpu with at least 16GB Vram, 12 GB of Vram is possible but most triple A games will have a hissy fit

I.e. 4070ti super, 9070XT, 5070TI, 6950xt and so on

I think lowest end i would go is like a 6750xt or 4070. Anything below that is either going to not be fast enough or lack the Vram

Don't get the 8gb 9060xt it won't hold up for as many years. As time goes on more and more games have been requiring more vram (the # of GB in the card,) in this case get the 9060xt 16gb it's better and is newer than the 3060. Has more features, more power, etc.

To be honest, no, these days, games have more than 6GB of VRAM, and 8GB is difficult, and it may not be suitable for AAA games like Cyberpunk and GTA5.

This problem is also the reason why 8GB and 16GB are released separately for popular graphic cards these days.

You're right. Vram stores and connects information that gpu will process. But if it's about 8gb of vram, I don't know if it's a normal screen output, but I think more vram is needed in an environment where real-time computation increases, such as games. And if GTA5 is an old game, it can't use high graphics like 8GB, If you lower the graphic setting value, you can do it smoothly

But I wrote the question because it requires Intel's quick assist.

The 7950X you said has good performance, but what I felt while using AMD and INTEL was that Intel pushed multi-core and said that low performance was efficient while using E-core and high performance was efficient while using P-core, but what I felt was that if you didn't use E-core, the performance would be lower. So it's also a reason to think about AMD,AMD has a stronger performance than multi-core, so it can produce sufficient performance without a multi-core structure. That's why 12 cores (8P/4E)I think A has almost the same or better 8-core AMD CPU. So if I change it now, I think it will go to 7700, 7800x3d, 9700X, and 9800. AMD may have limitations in coolers, but the temperature is relatively lower than Intel, so it feels like an attractive item for me.

And unless it's too heavy, the AMD CPU feels spacious even with 8 cores.
