I agree, I like my GMMK Pro aesthetically...but apart from a firmware issue which broke the fairytale for me the coiled cable is a big issue. Under my monitor, I have the audio receiver for the Nova Pro Wireless, my Nintendo Switch doc and speakers...and every time I try to move the keyboard on the side when playing everything gets messed around.

I would also like to move it freely when I need to put a notepad on the desk. I wonder if a TKL will come, considering that a new version of Omnipoint Switches is being launched with it. I wouldn't mind trying the Mini straight away though, I could bring that in my office if a TKL comes out later...

Yep. it's the wired so no anc bump and this thing is the best thing ever. a little on the high end. I didn't even select the smiley eq preset like I had on my pro's, I just had to go with bass boost but I still really really like it 👀 I do not like how when enabling sonar it adjusts the microphone's sound profile, that kinda bugs me, so no sonar for now

woah pardon my french but that's fuckie ok so, I can confirm, it DOES work wired (at least the wired versions) when plugged directly into devices (but ofc (at least I) lose side tone but whatever lol) but for my iPhone 13 Pro when plugged directly into through the headphone jack to lightning adapter you have to hold it in half way for a second till you hear a static click or two. then plug it in (it's a glitch I found out about with other headphones, it's ok though)

OK so this is funny asf sooo if your earbuds/headphones have an inline mic AND speaker (which obv they'd have a speaker), they work perfectly fine with the dac, even my own beats with a wire work. the dac picked up not only the microphone, but the speakers actually outputted audio too

Keyboard has no, modtap, no analog feature and no Rapid trigger. And it costs more than the wooting.

Although having 0.2mm actuation without rapid trigger is a bit rough. That means 3.8mm deactivation time. Which is very rough.

Well, as you know you can set this board to activate at 0.2mm. but if you wanna let go of the key, it won't deactivate until you're all the way back at 0.2. Rapid trigger, basically makes the key deactivate at the point you want. Say you full press a key down to 4.0mm, you can choose that it will deactivate at 3.8, instead of 0.2mm.

So you get very fast activation and deactivation.

Mod tap is basically just different input if you single press a key or if you hold it.

TKL is essentially a 75% board. It basically just means a full size board that got its number pad chopped off, which is why it's called "tenkeyless"

If anyone here knows wooting they also have analogue switches on their boards

and they have a feature called rapid trigger

basically as soon as you let go of the key it stops sending an input while in traditional keybaords you need to wait for the key to go over the point of actuation

which reduces some of that latency when strafing

does the apex mini wireless or apex mini have a similar feature?

Wooting also have Rapid trigger which is by far the most important feature. If you set your Apex Pro Mini to 0.2 that means the switch will deactivate in 3.8mm when fully pressed... That's mega delayed. Wooting Deactivate in 0.1mm.

Apex Pro Mini can do 2 actions per keypreds, wootikg can do 4 per key press.

Wooting has ModTap feature, which is really nice on 60% board to give you Arrow keys.

And then you also have gimmicks like analog input, which personally I don't care about, but it's there.

And it's also a universal design, so you can put it in any 60% case.

I didn't get to this till just now but I can confirm. A 2.0 SteelSeries GameDAC cable can run a HyperX Quadcast S, AND the Nova Pro wired's can be plugged into the audio passthrough port (on the quadcast S) just fine and everything works 💀 now time to disassemble this monstrosity

Well I don't know why but when you plug the nova pro wired's into an iPhone it doesn't work. it'll only work if you do this weird little glitch where you hold them in the port half way for 2 seconds, then put them all the way in (I have to do that with some other headphones as well). I just had the presumption that there was some minor bits of data being transferred that maybe my quadcast S wouldn't recognize (and this isn't the case luckily lol), but also the dac cable I don't know why I was curious on if that'd work or not

Yea me neither but to confirm, they can be used wired with any device you want and work as normal headphones with a microphone attached. so a switch? go ahead, phone? go ahead, wired into a pc directly for some reason? go ahead lol, also you can use them with xbox directly wired to a controller too, presumptively. Hmmmm that'd be a good thing to test actually 👀

I meannn, it is a normal headphone jack on the dac so you cant use those fat headphone jack looking cables but you can use any headphones you want with the dac, in fact, if you use some random skullcandy earbuds from the gas station and plug them into the dac, the dac recognizes the microphone and the actual earbuds 💀 take that as you will

The 7X+ works with all platforms but other than that the only other thing that works as you'd like would be the "Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox" and the "Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox", as these both have dual usb's and one of the dual has xbox compatability, the other has ps4/5, xbox, switch, etc compatibility. Then, the aforementioned 7X+'s, are a separate situation that I'm not familiar with but apparently they are somehow the same case. So basically Xbox nova pro's wired or wireless, or the 7X+'s

I’m extremely tired rn but from my personal experience. I love everything about steelseries gg. Sonar’s an amazing touch on top of everything else gg has added to it. Sonar, for some, can and will be a complete buggy and glitchy mess, but most of the time these are fixable in various ways . Sonar is bug free, at least for me, if used in a straight forward, non confusing way
